It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players! This week we have a sketch challenge for you. Remember that you can flip the sketch, and use any shapes you wish. We just want you to have fun! And speaking of fun, I had a blast using Soho Subway, one of the Designer Series Paper collections available when the new Stampin’ Up! catalog goes live on May 31st. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Soho Subway
The finished card measures 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ long.
- Blue medallions! One of my favorite patterns from this shabby collection consists of Blue Medallions, just made for adding a pearl in the center!
- Crisp Cantaloup and Baked Brown Sugar! Everything Eleanor Blossoms are inked in new In-Colors, Crisp Cantaloup and Baked Brown Sugar. They are nestled upon a Soho Subway Newspaper Print 2-1/2″ punched circle.
- Summer Starfruit! This gorgeous pattern in Summer Starfruit, pairs perfectly with the Crisp Cantaloup, Island Indigo and Very Vanilla Soho patterns.
What do you think of this paper? Won’t you let me know in today’s comments? I’ll be anxious to read your thoughts. Plus, I am sending a big thank-you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday and sent cards! You all made my day very special! Until next time…

Hi Ann,
I just have to tell you how amazing this card is and I LOVE what you’ve done with the Soho Subway DSP! Absolutely stunning!
Ann…*thud*…that was the sound of my jaw hitting the desk when I saw your card! I just love everything about this and you certainly spared no detail on this elegant creation. THanks for the awesome sketch this week. Once again, I hope you had a fantastic birthday! Big hugs, my friend! 🙂
Beautiful card – lovely!!! I just got my order today and silly me will have to put in another one…no DSP…!!!! Thanks for sharing this very pretty card!
Ooh, I love sneak peek’s! This Soho Subway ensemble seemed kind of masculine and modern to me, but boy was I wrong! You created something so soft and vintage-y with it. I love your little pearl studded medallions, too! Great card, Ann!
What a pretty card! I really like how you used the Soho paper. I was very overwhelmed by the full sheets but seeing how you used them is making me rethink them!
Ooooh, love seeing the new paper and colors! You’ve really mixed the colors together beautifully and I love the flowers! Hope your bday was awesome!
I love the paper and your card is beautiful. I always look forward to seeing your creations.

How beautiful, Ann! I am loving the Crisp Cantaloupe color, and I love how you’ve used the blue medallion as a focal point. Great way to mix the dsp.
SO cool…I am jealous, I haven’t even ordered my new stuff yet! That emblem is awesome with your lovely flowers! Great sketch too! The colors make my mouth water!
Beautiful, Ann! Love all the sneak peeks!
Delightful card! I enjoyed the new product peeks and your descriptions.
Beautiful Card! Very clever use of the DSP. A stunner as always! 🙂

Hi Ann! First of all I am so sorry that I missed your birthday. Happy Belated Birthday Ann. I hope you had a wonderful day.
I love the new SOho Subway DP and waiting for mine to come in. Lots of new goodies in the new Stampin’UP! catalog. I love your card Ann. And I love the way that you used the blue medallion.
Mary
Beautiful Ann!
I really like the papers you used in the card. Putting all the different colors, and patterns together is often intimidating to me. Seeing what you have done, give me courage to try myself. Thanks so much for sharing with all of us.
Marsha
You made a great card using that sketch. Looks like there are some fun new colors coming.
Sorry I somehow missed your birthday. Hope it was a special day for you!
Ann love your card and I’m so happy to see the Subway DSP patterns up close. Sometimes it’s just not the same in person as in the catty. Another beauty for sure! hugs
PS: I’m so looking forward to my sneak peak box arriving!
Ann, You’re one of the first blogs that I started following once I became a demonstrator;I’m going to be honest, you really intimidated me with your “mad” skills at first but I tried your techniques and found that I could do them too! Your generous nature shines through all that you do! I love the stories about your 4 legged babies but your talent amazes me! I’m stretching myself for convention and signed up for an”over the top card swap”. I immediately thought of your gorgeous work, and I found a card of your’s that I wanted to CASE but I can’t find the instructions;it’s made with the secret garden stamp set and framelets and they are water colored. Is there anyway that you could direct me to the posting or send me the instructions? It may be a little ambitious of me to plan on using the design as I have 70+ cards to do, but I loved it so much! Thanks for all you do! Sheila Thompson
What a fun card! I like the paper a lot from what I see. How does the cantaloupe color compare with the melon mambo? It will be fun to see all the new colors with the “old” ones. I would have never paired the starfruit with this but it sure works well here! Great job as always.

This paper is interesting. I am not sure about Summer Starfruit. It hasn’t been a color that I like. The new in colors are beautiful.
This paper looks beautiful! Great showcase of it, Ann!
My first peek at those Subway patterns! Love how you mixed them and the Cantaloupe is delish!
