Are you searching for an awesome sketch? Here comes The Paper Players to the rescue! I added a few little touches and interpretations of my own, and created a card featuring the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Doily delight! Stampin’ Up!’s new Paper Doilies are the perfect accent for any focal image, especially those that are feminine or vintage. My preference is to cut them in half. Tip: To increase the opacity, double the doilies!
- Paper plus! The Tea for Two Designer Series Paper collection is one of my favorites from the Spring Catalog. It contains a mix of fabulous colors, fabulous patterns, and even fabulous images, such as this Box of Tea!
- Blingin’ bloom! What could be lovelier than a flower from Stippled Blossoms? That same flower wearing bling! After inking the Blossom with So Saffron and stamping the Stippled Overlay in Calypso Coral, I “painted” the coral sections with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and liberally sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter. Three Basic Rhinestones are the perfect center accent.
I will be the first to admit that I have fallen in love with Calypso Coral, largely because of the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper collection. I can only hope that this In-Color will be brought back after it retires this year, along with Pool Party. I just may have to stock up on it!
I am anxious to hear what you think of today’s card. And how about you…is there an In-Color you will hate to see retire? Won’t you let me know in your comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one of them. And remember, if you have a question about the cards I create or the the techniques I use, I am an only an email away! I will leave you with a picture that I took Saturday afternoon, and one from Lexi’s first day at our house. On these cold and snowy days, Lexi still loves to play “snuggle-bunny” with her big brother Brody! Until next time…
Beautiful cards. I especially like the Pool Party cardstock and accessories. And the dogs!

What can I say, so cool and so clever as always!
Gorgeous card. Clever use of the dsp. (at first I thought …what!!! Ann using another companies stamp!!) LOL!
POOL PARTY. How will I live without it?! sob.
Isn’t that funny comparing the photos of Lexi then and now. Priceless.

Ann, as always, your card is stunning. I love the tea leaf box. Brilliant!
LOVE your card (and the pictures!) – the flower is fabulous! The in-colors that I will miss the most will be Wisteria Wonder AND Pool Party….but I’m a hobby demo so I can use and keep anything that I want to…lucky me! Lexi was so tiny when you first got her, but not so much any more – love animals that like to cuddle! TFS!
What a great idea to use the images from the DSP on your card!So pretty!. Don’t you just love those beautiful babies!
Hi Ann. This card is precious, being an avid Earl Grey drinker (all day in fact!) I love the dimensional stamp and what you have done with it. The doily is gorgeous! Well, Wild Wasabi has always been my absolutely favourite color in the entire spectrum. I covet mine!!!! And I will not call Catherine about this stamp! haha. Those puppy pics are just adorable. OMG-d – that they still snuggle bunny like that is SO wonderful! Lovies, Samara
Ann this is GORGEOUS! I LOVE how you cut out the tea box… and I espeically love the two tone flowers..so cool.
I have to admit, i’ve like ALL the IN colors and was so sad when they retired… I learned to LOVE them ALL. Pool Party is fav right now, but the more I use the more I like each one. I’m already getting excited about the ones to come soon!
The napping pups are too cute. hugs
Beautiful Ann! Such a bright and cheery card to brighten someone’s day. The polka dot dsp is the perfect companion to your pretty flower.
Pool party is my favorite color. I like how versatile this color is in any season. This is a hard set of In Colors to see leave.
Oh, such sweet photos. I can’t believe how tiny Lexi once was! My two boys like to snuggle like that as well. Makes me smile.
I love how all the elements came together so well in this card. I love Calypso Coral also. And, of course, the dogs are precious.
Very pretty. Love the embossing on your flower!
your dogs look so sweet!
Hi Ann:
Yes PP and CC are great colors, but I have to tell you the color that I adore – both as a blending color, background and/or accent is Summer Starfruit. It’s like a transitional color for seasons, and it great with a modern look or the traditional and shabby chic.
And I love almost all of the DSP’s and embellishments available from SU. Have a blessed Sunday!
Love this card and the one on Thursday, Ann; so bright and cheery these gray winter days! Brody is such a good big brother and Lexi sure has grown. Congrats on the last round of wins for the girls. Along with CC and PP, I like II with PP. Now that should confuse a non stamper if they stumble across your blog! Have a great day!
Love the card with the tea box. I just had an E-mail from a friend asking if I had tried some pear tea but she didn’t give me the brand name. She will though. I love the flower with it. How did you decide on rhinestones vs. pearls?
The fur babies are just so angelic! A little hard for Lexi to cuddle in there now but she is right in there! So cute!
Chris R. from Iowa
Your Boxer pictures ALWAYS make me smile. So fun that Lexi still snuggles with Brody.
Oh….and I do love your card, too. I haven’t used the Calypso Coral much yet but I do have the markers. I would miss Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party.
I am going to miss Island Indigo and the Lucky Limeade. I guess I need to order some more, before they are gone!!
Ann, your cards are always so beautiful! I check your blog nearly every day to see what gorgeous creations you have made to inspire us (and to make sure the boxers are well!) I will sooo miss pool party, island indigo and calypso coral. Boo hoo! Janice E.
I agree the card is beautiful, cleverly done with a friendship rose. The dogs are so sweet! Nicole
This is so sweet! Tea for Two is my favorite DSP out of the spring catalog! Love how you paired the box of tea with the Stippled Blossom, another one of my favorites! I will also be sad to see Calypso Coral and Pool Party go, I am definitely going to stock up on them! Love, love, love the pics of Brody and Lexi, you sure can tell she loves her big brother!
I totally agree–I will be most sad to see PP & CC retire. They are both go-to colors for me! I love how you’ve paired the vintage tea box with the bright and springy polka dots and grid paper. Fabulous job, my friend!
Love the card and your snipping. I think you should win an award for all the paper snipping you do.
Awwwwwww your furbabies are so cute. What an comparison picture these are. Brody is still the Big Guy…but Lexi has really grown too.
Love how you snipped out that box of tea and accented it with that gorgeous flower! And how cute those Boxer Boys are!
Love the pics of the two dogs, I really like following your little family of tail wagging pets…they are so cute…oh yeah, the cards are great too..haha…thanks for sharing it all.
Cute and cuddly pups! I love your tea card! I would hate to see Pool Party retire, but really, I don’t want any of the colors to end!!
Very, very pretty. The glittered flower is just gorgeous. I kept looking for the pearls–was it hard to leave them off? I too am such a pool party fan. A few years ago I fell in love with Purely Pomegranate: I still have some paper and ribbon that I use. I keep hoping that due to the 25th anniversary they will bring it back–lol. Dar
So, so pretty, Ann! Love your box of tea and the glittery blossom.
Ann…I too love Tea for Two. This card is gorgeous!
Great CAS card, Ann. Love how you paired the box of tea with the glittered flower. The pup pix are so sweet!
Oh, I loooooove this card! You know I am a tea drinker, so this is right up my alley! The colors play together so well, and that stippled flower…swoon! I’m going to have to take a second look at Tea for Two. You enabler, you!
Sweet card, sweet pups.
