It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players! This week the sweet and talented Anne Marie has a Clean and Simple Challenge: A Project Featuring Buttons and Bows for Baby! I pulled out my trusty Baby Bundle stamp set and inked up the Baby Carriage. Since a former student of mine will soon be giving birth to a baby girl, a little pink pram was in order! Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Clean and Simple Baby Card
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide x 5-1/2″ long.
- Pearled and paper pieced pram! The Pink Pirouette Lace Designer Paper, from the Fan Fair collection, seemed the perfect choice for paper piecing the Baby Carriage from Baby Bundle. Of course, as always, I just had to add all those pearls…especially since this card will be hand-delivered.
- Buttons! White Floral Buttons, from the Neutrals Designer Buttons collection, fit perfectly into the scallops formed from the lacy Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Snippets of Pink Pirouette card stock ensure that there are no “naked” buttons!
- Bows! A single Whisper White bow, crafted from 5/8″ Organza Ribbon, accents the focal image.
If time is at a premium, you can certainly forgo paper-piecing the Baby Carriage. It is just as cute colored, as it is pieced! And if you need to mail it, you can certainly leave off all of those pearls. Gasp…I almost can’t believe that I said that! But it is cute with just three pearls…two on the wheels and one on the hinge of the canopy.
What do you think of today’s card? Won’t you let me know in your comment? Your comments mean a lot to me, and I do read each and every one of them. And please, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

This is a-maz-ing. The pearl lady didn’t let me down with a wonderful surprise of a pearl pram. So girly for the that new little one. Hope you had a wonderful weekend at the dog show. Dar
Love the non-traditional colors. And the pearls on the carriage are beautiful! Just love everything about it.

Your cards are exceptional. Everyone you do is adorable. You have the talent for this hobby and it definitely shows. Super job!!
This is so adorable, love all the details you used.
This is just too sweet! I love all the “Ann” touches with the flower buttons, that gorgeous bow, and those pearls! Maybe I need to get that set and make up a couple cards for the future – while it is fresh in my mind. At least I don’t think I have it without looking. It would be cute done in greens and yellows for those who don’t know what they are having or not telling anyway! Fun card!

That lace paper is absolutely unbelievably gorgeous!! Love how you pieced the pram! Pearlicious!
Ann how cute is that! I LOVE the bling carriage and the bow is to die for but the bottom embossing reminds me of the hem on my daughter’s bassinet. so stinkin’ cute. hugs.
Hi Ann! Stunning baby card, WOW! Love the sweet buttons highlighting the lace scallops. The pearls and lace are wonderful for a precious little girl. Thanks for tips at the end too. It’s good to read those and keep in mind. Great inspiration this morning!
Sweet! I love the look of that embossed panel across the bottom!
I am awestruck as well! This is absolutely adorable! Love that Lace DSP, so perfect for a baby girl! And all those pearls! Oh my gosh, the recipient of this card is going to cherish this!
So pretty, Ann! That lace DP is just perfect with your lace embossing, buttons, bows & pearls! Delightful! My card is going out this week as my friend’s daughter just had her baby Friday night….after teaching the whole day at school!!!
I’m too awestruck to speak! Absolutely darling!
Aw, this is dripping with sweetness! Love the pearly carriage.
Leave it to you, Ann, to make such an elegant baby card. The lace DSP is so pretty and perfect for this card and I love the little stroller embellished with pearls.
Wow…love the texture you added with the embossing folders here, Ann. This card is perfect for a baby girl. I am always impressed when you use a tiny image like this pram as your main image. That is not easy to do, yet you pull it off with amazing panache. Super card! She’ll treasure it!
Are you kidding me? Pretty soon my keyboard is going to short out from all the drool that drops on it when pictures of your projects pop up on the screen and my mouth falls open! It’s like that reflex when you touch your eyelashes with the mascara wand and your mouth automatically opens….when your pictures appear on the screen, there goes my mouth. And the things you do with one tiny little image that make it so special. I’m just in awe!
