Looking for a fun color combination? The Paper Players have just that: Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals. I decided to create a little tea party on a card. There are flowers for the table, a “lace” edged napkin, and a fine china tea cup! Now all we need is a little English Breakfast blend from “The White Peony Tea Shoppe” to start our day. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: It’s All About Three
This finished card measures 5-1/2″ wide x 4-1/4″ long.
- Primrose Petals! A trio of blossoms, snipped from Stampin’ Up!’s Vanilla Flower Trim, was quickly tinted using the Primrose Petals ink pad, a Sponge Dauber, and a Stampin’ Spritzer.
Watch this video to see how quick and easy the process is!
- Pearly Petals! A trio of Pearls form the “pearl-fect” centers for the posies on the Primrose Petals Tea Cup from the Tea Shoppe stamp set.
- Peony Petals! The White Peony Tea Shoppe image was stamped three times…once in Primrose Petals and twice in Midnight Muse. One Midnight Muse image was punched out with the Scalloped Oval Punch, while the Primrose Petals one was punched out with an oval punch and popped atop the Midnight Muse base. Finally, the Midnight Muse “White Peony” banner was snipped out and layered onto the Primrose Petals oval. The end result…three layers!
Chunky Monkey Lexi
I am so happy to share this picture of Lexi with you. Little Lexi was not eating. She would get distracted, and was too “busy” to even think about eating. Getting her to look at her food was a chore. Kim and I would pretend to eat it, to no avail. I would add all sorts of things to entice her to eat…chicken, turkey, tuna, salmon…and even that did not work. Sadly, Lexi was getting very thin. I took her to Dr. Brooke, who placed her on high-calorie “critical care” canned food, which was to be mixed with her dry food. I am happy to say that she loves the taste of it, and has gained weight! Woo hoo! No more back bone sticking up! No more little hip bones sticking up! She is sleek, shiny and a sassy lassy!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card as much as I enjoyed making it. Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one of them. Of course, if you ever have any questions about the cards I make or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

Oops, I forgot to mention your pretty girl. I’m very happy to read she is doing well now. Wonder if food really isn’t her thing or the taste? Her photo is beautiful. So happy you have a combination that she enjoys.
Hi Ann! I’m a little behind in my reading. What a gorgeous card this is! I’ve admired this stamp set since it’s appearance and you have done it justice, as always. The lace doily and pretty roses just seem like perfect additions.
Ann, firstly, so glad that Lexi is picking up weight for you. That’s great news!
I loved this challenge – thank you!
Your card is fabulous. the flowers are perfect with the tea cup and, of course, it wouldnt be a Schach card without the fabulous pearls
hugs

Your card makes me want a cup of tea — and I don’t even drink it. So elegant. And Lexi looks beautiful in the photo; her coat is so shiny.

This card is absolutely beautiful. Like others shared the doily is the icing on the teacup! Michelle Mallett
Beautiful card with an unexpected but lovely color combo. The flowers turned out perfect – thanks for sharing the tutorial!
I am totally loving your Tea Party card….have borrowed my friend’s stamp set so thinking maybe I will make her a similar card! Thanks for the video….will definitely try this for dying our darling flowers. TFS! Guessing Lexi needed some time to settle down from her awards..glad she is returning to normal!
Wow another Ann creation and gorgeous! Glad Lexie is growing too. We had to do the samevfor our cat, who quickly gained back the weight and continues to love the high calorie food.
Fabulous! I especialy love the doily napkin.
Ann, you know I’m a tea lover, so this card delights me! The doily tucked into the teacup is the piece de resistance! Such a great layout, too. Love it! Glad your baby girl has regained her appetite, too!
What an adorable card, Ann–it so you!!! I love it!! Thanks.

Glad to hear Lexi is eating again. She is one very pretty little girl.
Oh so very pretty. I was thinking this would make a beautiful mother’s day card. The lacy napkin and the flowers are such elegant touches. Dar
Beautiful card. Love the way you did the flowers. I watched your video again, even though I watched it before when you did the card with the yellow flowers. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, Ann, you’ve made another beauty! I love the way you’ve combined the colors and I love all of the fun details — especially the lace napkin. Thanks for the fun challenge!
I think I could use a cuppa right now, after seeing this lovely creation!!! I am loving the roses….I think I could put them on everything!
I actually saw this wonderful card on the Ppaer Players before I saw it here. Great job!
I can just see you and your husband pretending to eat Lexi’s dog food. How funny! Glad she is eating better now and is gaining weight.
Gorgeous~!! I will be right over for a cup ๐
Gorgeous card, Ann! I love the tea table you’ve set especially the “lace” napkin…its all beautiful!
What a beautiful card Ann! I love all the wonderful elements to put into it, and the lace napkin sticking out of the tea cup is an adorable touch.
PS I wish I had that problem… Too busy to eat! lolol Lexi looks great I have a picky eater too! He weighs around 90 pounds so I am not worried when he skips a meal. But he is picky!
Ann, I loved the video it was so pleasant to watch. The card and Lexi’s back to healthy habits is fab news too. All beautiful things you shared, thanks
Nicole
Ann, Holy Cow, Shazam, and WOW! You pulled all the stops out with one! How gorgeous! Love the tea party roses, and the embossed tablecloth background so lovely, but I especially love the white peony 3 layer label. Looks very cool with the midnight banner over the primrose image. Love it.
Glad Lexi is feeling better and on the mend.
hugs.
So pretty and rich in details. Love the pearls on the cup but the tea label is glorious with all it’s layers! Then we have those gorgeous flowers and the “fine linen” napkin! Fun touches!
So, glad she is doing well again. Boy, I wish I could be too preoccupied to eat! She is such a gorgeous girl just like all your fur babies!

Love your tea party, Ann! Lots of lovely layers. Thanks, also, for the video. I’m going to try your method.
Beautiful, Ann! Sitting here enjoying my own cup of tea as I look at your wonderful card. Love all the little details.
Glad Lexi is doing better. Know what it is like when your pet doesn’t eat enough. My little guy is pretty thin and trying to find something that he will eat is not always easy. Then I have one female that eats way too much!
this is the most amazing tea cup card EVER Ann!!! TFS, oh how I want to create this !!! So glad Lexi is eating again! Have a wonderful day Ann *hugs*
Oh my gosh, I can’t believe I posted and didn’t say anything about sweet little Lexi! I know how frustrating it can be when the munchkins don’t want to eat so I’m so glad your vet had something that she liked! She looks absolutely beautiful!
Oh Ann, this is so pretty!! I love how bright and cheery it is, really makes you want to sit down with a friend and share a cup of tea! These colors are beautiful together! I am going to try to color some of the flowers using your technique!
Your cards are always exquisite and never disappoint! I love all of your details. Simply stunning works of art ๐ So glad Little Miss is looking so healthy!
Inky hugs,
Janet
Very beautiful card Ann. Thanks for sharing the video with us. I am sure many more stampers will be coloring their roses now that it is so easy.
Lexi… what a little busy body. I am so happy to hear she is eating!
What a beautiful card! And I’m glad Lexi is back to eating. Sounds like all is well at the Schach house!
Gorgeous – both the card and Lexi. Love the color combination – both the card and Lexi : ) Never thought I’d say this but “congratulations on the fat”!
