It’s Monday, and the start of a busy work week for many of us. Couldn’t we all use a quick and easy card to get our week started off right? Here is Card #4 in my “Got Ten? Make Twenty” series. These are cute and stylish cards designed for the busy stamper…with the definite plus of being quick, easy and mailable. Many of them can be stamped in ten minutes, and today’s card is no exception. Where does the “Make Twenty” part come in? These cards use Stampin’ Up!’s Note Cards, which come 20 in a pack. By the end of the series, you will have 20 all-occasion cards. I hope you enjoy today’s “Thoughts of You” card.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Got Ten Thinking of You
This finished card measures 5″ wide x 3-1/2″ long.
- Splash! A snippet of Designer Series Paper from the Storytime Collection adds a welcome splash of color. This Riding Hood Red “Squares” pattern seemed to mimic the panes of glass in the Phone Booth image from Feeling Sentimental. Tip: When possible, look for design elements which are repeated in both the paper and the image.
- Crisp! The Phone Booth image looks so crisp when inked in Jet Black StazOn. I stamped this one onto a rectangular piece of Whisper White card stock, which I then “popped” up onto Stampin’ Dimensionals. This adds depth and dimension, but is still mailable.
- Curled! In keeping with the vintage look of the Phone Booth, I selected a sentiment from the Loving Thoughts stamp set. Curling one end and snipping the other adds to the overall vintage vibe…as does adding a few pearls.
Feeling Sentimental is a Sale-A-Bration set which can be yours with a $50 order (before shipping and taxes). Here are a few ideas, based on today’s card, to get you to that $50 level:

Before cooking. Photo courtesy of the Little Fellows website. |
1 bag of frozen tortellini
1 small bag of fresh spinach
2 cans of Italian style diced tomatoes
1 box or 4 cups or chicken broth
1 block of cream cheese
1 lb. of roll sausage
Brown the sausage and put all ingredients in a crockpot,
chunking up the cream cheese.
Cook on low for 5-6 hrs.
I didn’t think to take a picture until after I had taken a bite of my breadstick. Sorry. I will guarantee that it tastes better than it looks! I over-cooked it a little, but it was still yummy! Perfect comfort food on a rainy January evening
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Won’t you let me know in your comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one. And if you try the Crockpot Cheese Tortellini, please let me know what you think of it. As always, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
The recipe was fantastic. I made a vegetarian version with mock sausage tonight. Unfortunately none of my 4 children would even touch it. I will be eating it for a week.
I love your Got Ten series. I need to start making better use of 10 minutes of time here and there and make some of these cards. Thanks for sharing so many beautiful ideas.
This is by far my most favorite SAB set….and love your creation! Thanks for sharing the wonderful recipe too!
Ann Love your card, especially the splash of RED behind the sentiment. Very cool.
PS: I didn’t get this set yet, but I did get them on the MDS disc. I printed them out it was WAY bigger than the actual stamps. Hmmmm
This dis looks FABULOUS. I’ll have to give it a try…. or maybe I’ll give it to gal pal that loves to cook to bring to class! hugs.
Ann, I haven’t had breakfast yet, and as I was looking at the photo of your plate, my stomach rumbled. LOL….yes, it looks yummy! And so does your card. I’m am smitten with this stamp set and I simply must get it. The images are so sketchy and vintage…and your card is marvelous!
Oh I love it!! Tailored, yet gussied up with pearls : ) And I love crock pots too – having dinner already made after a “hard” day of stamping, can’t be beat!
Great card! The recipe sounds yummy, too. I love the photo of the “once bitten breadstick”. Perfection! ๐
This is so pretty and the recipe looks yummy, thanks for sharing!
My mouth is watering, looking at that tortellini! YUM! Thanks for the recipe…and your clean, crisp card! Lovely!
I am really enjoying this series of cards, Ann. I must add a package of note cards to my next order so I can make them all!
Love your card! Love the idea of got ten … make twenty and love that you are using notecards!
Also, thank you for the recipe, I will try it.
I have a recipe for you!
It is called Firehouse Spaghetti and it is yummy!
1 pound lean ground beef
1 large onion, minced
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
2 – 10 1/2 ounce cans cr. of mushroom soup
2 – 10 ounce cans Rotel tomatoes
8 ounces Old English cheese
1 – 8 ounce pkg spaghetti
Brown gr. beef with onions and garlic, drain. Add soup and Rotel mixing well. Add cheese. Stir over low heat till blended. Remove from heat.
Boil spaghetti 7-8 min, drain and add to sauce mixture. This tastes even better the second day and it also freezes well.
I always love red with the black and white cards and the strip of the dp is a great touch. I also like the banner.
Love my lip gloss surprise. Really cute. Thank you
Beautiful and so perfect to mail out. Thanks for the tips, Ann!
That recipe looks scrumptious – I may have to give it a whirl next week when I am home during the week and can save my husband a night of cooking. ๐
Great card. Fast and easy. Love those!
yumm, going to cook that , love your cards too !! thanks ms Ann
hugs frenchie
Thanks for the tip about patterns and paper. Very helpful.
Pip, pip and cheerio – I love the English phone booth stamp. The card you made with it is fantastic! I love the colors and yes, the paper does remind me of those windows! Now, I gotta buy some of that paper! One of our college students at work will have a birthday next month. He was in England last semester and this will make a fun card for him! Plus, a friend who was commenting last month that she misses the old style phone booths and really missed the ones in England when she lived there. This can be a fun little surprise card for her. Thanks Ann, just like Superman (hint – phone booth) you are there to save the day! I really enjoy the 10 minute cards though I seem to take a lot more time just gathering my supplies! Tally ho! I think I need some supper. By the way, your recipe sounds really good and I know Mike would love it. Thanks!

Love your “Got Ten? Make Twenty” cards, Ann! AND thanks for sharing this delicious recipe! I can’t wait to try it! Wish I had it waiting after I come in from the snow shoveling I am on my way out the door to enjoy! NOT! My back still hurts from last week. Hugs
Love the card, especially the cute way you did the banner! All your cards are fabulous. Thanks for inspiring!
