It’s Thursday and time to play at Pals Paper Arts! Margaret Moody has a fabulous sketch for us this week. With snow blowing outside and Christmas right around the corner, today’s card may look out of place…as well it should! I used paper, stamps and embossing folders from the new Spring Catalog! I hope you enjoy this fresh and fun Bridal Shower card!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Fun and Fresh
This finished card measures 5-1/2″ high x 4-1/4″ long.
- Pearly Parasol! The Parasol from the new Rain or Shine stamp set was inked with Calypso Coral and stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. Since I like to paper snip, I snipped it out and popped it up onto a 2-1/2″ Very Vanilla Circle that I had embossed using the new Cloudy Day Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Of course, I had to add a few Basic Pearls. Isn’t it a law that all cards must have pearls? If not, don’t tell me any differently! I love my pearls!
- Stitching for the “sewing dysfunctional”! The new Cross Stitched Folder from the Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folder collection is perfect for someone like me who can’t sew a stitch! But hey…I can knit and crochet!
- Bridal Shower! What better way to display a sentiment than layering it onto a Crumb Cake base embossed using the Stitched Scallop Folder from the Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folder collection. You counted correctly…there are two border folders in the Needlepoint Border collection. That means double the fun!
This card is heading to a former student, Danielle, who is being honored at a Tea Bridal Shower this Sunday. Although I will not be able to attend, it sounds like so much fun. I loved that the invitation stated “Hats are Optional”! Danielle is a model with the Ford Agency, and has had roles in commercials and movies. Although uncredited, she was Bruce Wayne’s blonde supermodel girlfriend in The Dark Knight. I love it when my kids are successful!
Did you keep track of all of the new Spring Catalog products used on this card? Here they are: Tea for Two Designer Series Paper, Cloudy Day Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, both folders from the Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folder collection, Rain or Shine stamp set and Tangerine Tango Ribbon from Sale-a-Bration’s Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack. What do you think of these new products? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? And don’t forget that I am offering Blog Candy. For the details, and to see what I am giving away, please check out yesterday’s BLOG CANDY POST. Until next time…

I can’t wait to be able to order from the new mini. In the Pacific Northwest, clouds and umbrellas and rain are our norm! Thanks for your inspiration
BEAUTIFUL, Ann! Way to show off those new products!!
I think rain or shine is one of my favorite stamps sets in the spring catalog! I can hardly wait to get my hands on it – especially after seeing your highly inspirational bridal shower card.

Pretty card, love the color combo.
This is beautiful and so full of Springy goodness! Love the pretty colors of this dsp and your touch of pearls on the parasol. Just perfect! Those embossing folders are delightful as well.
A perfect bridal shower card. Love the color choices and that’s a great sketch for the challenge. Never can use too many pearls for a soon-to-be bride!!
I LOVE HOW THE UMBRELLA IS POPPED UP TO BE DIMENSIONAL. THE COLORS YOU USED ARE VERY NICE.
Love the new embossing folders!! Can’t wait to get my hands on it!!

So much detail on this card. Love the new embossing folders. Of course the pearls are perfectly placed. 🙂
Another beautiful creation. I love pearls, so this card is particularly appealing to me. The umbrella reminds me a bit of spring as I look out my window and see the effects of our blizzard from yesterday.
That parasol is growing on me, and I may just “need” that stamp set. 🙂 Normally, rhinestones are my go to bling, but you have encouraged me to use more pearls on my cards. Gorgeous1
That is such a gorgeous card and do love them pearls

Oh, you’re my hero! I’ve been waiting to see all the fabulous things you can do with the spring catty stuff! This is awesome!
You are the queen of pearls, Ann! This card is no exception ~ always stunning results. So many awesome new items showcased here. Can I just say I want it all? Stay safe and keep warm. Merry Christmas, Ann!
The pearls, the colors, the embossing, and that cute umbrella–love it all!!!
I so enjoy when Muffy gets some ‘puter time.
Thanks 4 all the sneak peaks. Cant wait to order the embossing folders. Dar
You’ve done a great job of showcasing so many of the new products on your card, Ann! I love it! I’m sure your former student will love it too!
Stay warm and dry! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
This is so cute! I love the new Tea for Two paper and all the wonderful embossing borders. It offers so much creativity. A fun card, and a great display of so many of the new products. Now, it’s back to cookie baking for me!
What a fun card! I had to laugh at Mike Funke’s comment – I can see the title of a new mystery – Pearled to Death!, Murder by Pearl, or Pearl she Stamped! There are a bunch of needlework, knitting, and scrapbooking mysteries out there that are so fun to read. I enjoyed Dawn Tidd’s comment too! I think the snow has me a bit overwhelmed. Now, if the wind would calm down it would be much better. What did Lexi think about the snow?

I think your card deserves a “super model” ranking! It’s gorgeous!!! Love all the sneak peeks too!
What a clever idea to pop the umbrella up on top of the embossed clouds! Swoon! And of course your pearls. I want you to know I personally “blame” you for my pearl addiction LOL!! It is a rare card that I make these days that doesn’t have pearls on it.
The new Spring catalogue is packed with wonderful new products…I think my biggest must haves are the Hearts a Flutter bundle and the Artisan Embellishment kit.
Ann this was such a ‘wonderful’ surprise! Love the umbrella in this color and of course the pearls are the bomb! The way you used these borders embossing folders will now make me want them…. i really didn’t want them before! How clever you always are. Love the cloud EF and the pearls around the circle sha-zam! So sassy on this one. She will just love it.
Have a VERY Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too. Hopefully I’ll get something posted over holiday break! Hugs.
Think I’ve just been pearled to death! LOL You have the patience of Job!
Wow! So pretty! You should get an award to using the most new items in one project.
Nothing more I can say about your cards other than STUNNING ! Love coming to your blog each day for all kinds of inspiration!!!
Love your card, Ann. The Rain and Shine stamp set is one of my favorites from the Spring catalog. I just wish it had come with some matching framelits. Those umbrellas look like they would be hard to cut out. You did a great job on a beautiful card!
Love the umbrella….so cute, Christmas is a magic time of year
That is the cutest card! I’ve got my daughter’s bridal shower coming up and may have to CASE this! It’s so pretty! Merry Christmas to your family.
WOW! the cloud texture is so cool. Love how you added the pearls to the tiny tips of the umbrella. Makes the snipping process less tricky!
Love the bright colors – and I love the sneak peeks of the new stuff! The umbrella is so sweet!
Oh Ann, this is so pretty! I love the colors and those embossing folders were the first thing on my list as I’m a cross-stitcher from waaaay back! Love all the pearls and that adorable bow! I too heard that Iowa was having a blizzard and I immediately thought of you. I hope you don’t get too much snow so you are able to get some last minute things done!
I love your card. I cannot believe you took the time to paper-snip when you have so much to do. You are dedicated to your “hobby” and blog folks. Thanks!
Hope you are not buried in snow. I heard Iowa was having a blizzard. Take care …& stay warm!
I never guessed from the peak that this was a Spring bridal shower card! Stunning card. You sure know how to make the most of all the new products!
What a great color combination! I think your former student will really appreciate the card. I love your pearls. I don’t use them often but every time I do, I think of your beautiful cards.
