A Blast from the Past: March, April and May

If you are looking for The Paper Players challenge, we will be resuming our challenges next Sunday.  Today, we are introducing you to our new Guest Designers.  Please make certain to check out today’s post.  In the meantime, I am continuing my Year in Review, with the months of March, April and May.  Enjoy!

March

Out West with the Pals
My favorite from March first appeared on my blog on March 15th.  It ranks as my all-time favorite masculine card.  This stamp set retired, and I must confess that I do miss it. I loved the now-retired Well Worn Designer Paper.  It was perfect for masculine cards. I still have some stashed away.  And amidst the ropes and steer horns, I did manage to add pearls!

April
April was a creative month for me! Maybe it is because it is my birthday month.  I really had a tough time narrowing down my favorite.  Finally I decided on this watercolored creation.

Watercolored Thoughts of You
I continued my new-found (at the time) romance with Poppy Parade when I created this card.  Pearls, texture, a double bow, popped-up paper snipped flowers, and a bannered sentiment…this card has all of my favorite elements!

May

Memories of Mom
Distressed and vintage, this card was created for a Mother’s Day challenge.  Although my mother has been gone for 35 years, she would have cherished this card.  She loved antiques and vintage linens, and this card certainly evokes memories of these.  Of course, I just had to add pearls…again!

I hope you will join me tomorrow as I look back at the hot months of summer.  Plus, I have some cutie-patootie “chair candy boxes”, created by my friend, the talented Lisa Eisner,  to share with you.  And speaking of shares…please read about the new product shares I am offering.  The deadline for signing up for the first round of shares is 6:00 PM CST, Wednesday, January 2nd.

  1. What a fabulous stroll down memory lane with your stunning cards! I certainly do love that cowboy masculine card! The other vintage cards are gorgeous, too! I especially love vintage myself! Take care and Happy New Year!

  2. This is fun for me as I have not been following you long enough to have seen this past year’s cards and projects. All three are wonderful but I really like the May card the most….we lost our mom almost 10 years ago and this evokes wonderful memories for me as well. TFS and looking forward to the next set!

  3. Thanks for the memories.

  4. I love all three of these cards especially the cowboy! Thanks for re-sharing 2012’s works of art! Your Winter Wonderland tribute to Linda on The Paper Players was great! Thanks for all the ooow’s, aah’s and laughs during 2012, Ann; looking forward to 2013! Best wishes for a Happy Healthy New Year to the Schach Household! Hugs

  5. I have to say that is the most awesome masculine card. Your watercolored beauty certainly is a beauty! Your mother would have tears of joy over the gorgeous Mother’s Day card. It is a lovely tribute to her.

  6. Love all three of these, fabulous.

  7. All three of these cards are gorgeous. Yes, even the masculine card. Great masculine card. Why am I not surprised that you found a way to incorporate pearls on that one. 🙂 I really love the Memories card.

  8. I love your masculine card, Ann. The texture you added is wonderful, and the clean layout really lets the focal shine. I just scored a pack of well-worn off the clearance rack. Yee-haw!

  9. Just wonderful. I can’t even pick a favorite since each one appeals to another individual “feeling” in me. I do know they all belong in shadow boxes on walls – such works of art!
