Oh, Christmas Tree for The Paper Players and 52CCT

It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week the talented Jaydee is hosting a sketch challenge…and what a versatile sketch it is! I headed straight for the Tree from Christmas Lodge.  Bedecked with Basic Pearls, it forms the focal point of today’s card.

In addition, I will be entering a new-to-me challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown.  Their November Embellishment Challenge is “Pearls”This card looks like a good fit to me! And a big thanks goes out to Bonnie, who told me about this challenge!
Enjoy this “EBNQ” card…Easy But Not Quick!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.

  • Ornaments! Basic Pearls make lovely ornaments with which to decorate the Tree from Christmas Lodge! Colored red by using a permanent marker, Basic Pearls will “spruce up” any spruce!
  • Snowflakes!  Pearls make the perfect accent for the retired Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

  • Dazzle! A little Dazzling Details add a delightful shimmer of frost below the tree.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Things are returning to normal here at the Schach house.  Brady had rehearsal back in Columbia, Missouri Saturday morning, so he left Friday afternoon, armed with freshly baked cookies, a casserole, a wreath for his door, and a new Crock Pot.  He is going to try his hand at making his first roast.  The Twins and Lexi miss him, as do Kim and I.  But in a few more weeks, he will be back for Christmas break.  I know I will be counting down the days!

Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one of them.  So won’t you leave me a comment and let me know what you think of today’s card?  I know…I went a wee bit overboard on the pearls (she said with a smile)!  And remember, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

  27. I am almost speechless! You nailed it on the pearls and all those wonderful details from the brushed gold to just the right touch of the brown to complement the glorious tree to the snowbursts to that wonderful dp! Plus the touch of bling to the snow! Just wonderful! This is one of my top favorite of your cards! If you don’t win that challenge, I think I might have to eat a pearl or wear one or something! If you don’t win – we know it is a “fixed” contest!

So, glad Brady made it home. I wasn’t sure if you were going to pack up the kids and go to your sister’s or stay home. He will be back in a few short weeks like you said.

  31. Absolutely beautiful! Laughed at the bit overboard with the pearls. That is an understatement but they do add so much to the card. Love how you colored them for the tree.

  32. Really beautiful!! Absolutely love the tree!

  33. Just Beautiful! The tree looks like it has “snow” on it. Was a special technique used or is this just a “feature” of the stamp?
