It’s Thursday and time to play at Pals Paper Arts. This week we are featuring a fabulous sketch, just perfect for highlighting a favorite image or sentiment. I opted to add another Christmas card to my growing collection, and reached for Stampin’ Up!’s Heart of Christmas. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Quick and Mailable
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide x 5-1/2″ long.
- “Sentiment-al”! The Heart of Christmas sentiment was inked using Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Markers. The Crumb Cake “Sawtooth”, made with the Finishing Touches Edgelit, and 1/8th inch strips of Gumball Green card stock add interest.
- “Core’dinated”! Cherry Cobbler Core’dinations card stock was zipped through the Big Shot with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create this warm and rich banner. Of course, the patterns in the Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper Collection are the perfect complement!
And there you have it…a quick, fun, and easily mailable card! I can’t wait to create more of this one. Won’t you let me know what you think of it in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me, and I enjoy reading each one. And remember, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away…

this is a great Christmas card Ann-I loved this layout and you made such a perfect card with it-it looks like it could be mass produced easy enough
Ann how pretty! Love the embossed flag in center…so cool.
I also Love this stamp and just recieved it yesterday! I think it will fit nicely ‘inside’ my hot chocolate card too. Thisis such a pretty layout. hugs
PS: so glad to be home from traveling …again. Yippeee guess what I’ll be doing this weekend.
It’s such a great card, Ann with the variety of patterns and texture on it. So, while it does not have your trademark pearls (nearly unbelievable!), the gorgeous embossed flag adds tremendous elegance.
I love it, Ann! Not a pearl in sight, but it doesn’t need one! Love the combo of DSP and the embossing on the banner! So very pretty!
Gorgeous! Another way to use this economical single stamp!!
OMG! Who are you and what have you done with my Ann!? There’s not ONE PEARL on this card! Gorgeous just the same!
Yes, great sketch for the large sentiment. Pretty colors and I like the embossed center panel.
Love it! Showcases the sentiment so well. Perfect for the sketch. I am surprised there isn’t at least one pearl in the middle of the twirls at the bottom of the sentiment though. Love the colors and especially the fun polka dots! This is perfect for mailing like you said. I will be making at least one similiar to this. This will be good for a birthday with a change of colors and sentiment too. Great job of inspiring us!

Always a beaut Ann! It is magical and brings to mind waking up in the morning…just what a christmas card needs to do!
Oh, so pretty! I love the embossed and sanded flag. The sentiment panel is gorgeous too with just the hint of zig-zag trim. Fabulous!
Very special, Ann.
This is a fabulous ANN card, just beautiful. I love the red and green, all of the details add up to one fantastic mailable card!
Beautiful! Classy and elegant – great holiday card!

Beautiful card! Clean and simple but so classy. Love the embossed & sanded CS.
This is so beautiful, love the sentiment and the great design, the colors are so pretty together.
Love the layout. It is certainly one I would find easy to use. I really like what you did with your card! I love polka dots.
SO pretty!!! Love the simple elegance. But…ummmm…there are NO pearls. 😉
absolutely an “Ann” classic (and simple, too). love the use of the sanded texture and that stamp is amazing!
Great card. I am loving the Core’dinations card stock. Also like how you layered the DSP.
Really, really pretty, Ann. The layering of the DSP is just wonderful, and your stamped sentiment really shines. I love the flag banner, too!
Beautiful card! Love that embossed CS in the middle and that greeting is perfect. I cannot believe I don’t have that one yet. It is now going on my wish list. 🙂 TFS!
Wow, this is so unlike your style – why, it’s almost business-like : ) I love it though – clean and fresh. And polka dots – oh my, can anyone look at polka dots and not smile? Beautiful card and I really like that sketch.
Simply beautiful! That embossed flag in the center really makes the card. Love it!
