Shabby Chic Clean and Simple for The Paper Players

It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! The talented Nance Leedy has a fabulous challenge for us this week…Create a Clean and Simple Project Using Banners! Although I sponged around the edges of my card, it is still clean in the sense that there is lots of “white” space, and it is definitely simple.  Enjoy!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Clean and Simple
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.

  • Texture! Yummy texture was imparted using the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It’s perfect for either a Shabby Chic or a Victorian flair!  It doesn’t get any quicker or easier!
  • Pretty pennants! Create pennants in a flash with the Petite Pennants Builder Punch.  To add a little pzazz, zip them through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Baja Breeze Seam Binding Roses add a “pop” of subtle color!
  • Beautiful Baja Blossoms!  The blossoms from Everything Eleanor were inked in Baja Breeze and stamped onto Naturals Ivory card stock and snipped out. Depth was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A single Basic Pearl adorns the center.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  It is easy to make, yet has a little “wow” factor associated with it.  Won’t you let me know what you think in today’s comment?  Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one of them.  And remember, your comment today will enter you into my Blog Candy Give-Away.  For more information about the Blog Candy, Click Here! Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

  34. P.S. Silly me, I forgot to say that I really appreciate your explanation of what CAS means to you. It truly is different for every artist and I enjoy seeing how everyone interprets the challenge! 🙂

  35. You are the master of shabby chic CAS! I love your soft color scheme and all the texture is beautiful. The pop of color from your ribbon roses is just gorgeous. Thanks for such a beautiful take on my banner challenge–you nailed it! ((hugs))

  36. Oh, I love your take on clean and simple! This creation is just over the top! I can’t decide what detail (and oh my, what details there are) is my favorite. The little roses with their pop of color are so cute but something about that little pearl down in the corner just rounds it all out. But, yet I really like all the texture with the polka dot embossing on those pennents. Fun and great card Ann!
