Burlwood’s Unlike Any Other, better known as “Lexi”, will soon have her coming out party at the dog shows in early October. What better way to document her show career than with a digital creation. I used My Digital Studio 2 to create page one of her “bragbook”. I know that I had resisted the digital scene for a long time, but after seeing what Stampin’ Up! had in store for us at Convention with My Digital Studio 2, I could resist no longer.
This page is not fancy. It uses one of the templates available. But I thoroughly enjoyed changing it up and making it my own by adding the wording, the picture, and yes…my beloved pearls! I can’t wait to take more photos of her on her journey to a champion. There will be her first show, her first class win, her first point…and finally, her official new champion picture. And in the end, I will have copies printed for her handler and breeder. And before you think I am playing favorites with my furbabies, I will be creating a similar book for Muffy and Brody. I just wish I would have taken more pictures along the way.
So what do you think of Lexi’s first page? Won’t you let me know in today’s comments? Until next time…
Ann this is such a cute page. I just love MDS and I too thought I’d never like the digital scraping but it’s just so dang FAST! Now I love it, especially because I can caught up when behind and it also takes up less room in the cabinet! Hugs.
This is an adorable page Ann. Lexi is just too cute. I love MDS and now with the added features, love it even more. The more you use it, the easier it gets.
This is such a great page. I am trying to decide whether to upgrade to MDS 2. I am so terrible about taking photos. I really enjoy making cards or knitting so much more than scrapping. Dar
This is DARLING!!! Can we now colour the pearls in MDS?? That’s one trick I haven’t tried!!
What a lovely page, perfect to showcase the sweet little Lexi! Great idea to use MDS to document the progression of all their careers.
It’s a perfect pic for Lexi and I love the design! Well done.
I so adore that picture of Lexi. I look forward to hearing about her debut and wins as well as seeing the Twins’ brag books.
Welcome to the addiction of MDS. Lexi looks adorable and I love what you did with your first page. I am working on a photo book of my son’s wedding. And we recently bought a slide/photo scanner so I can go to town on books of my sons when they were growing up. I just love this digital scrapbooking. Can’t wait to see what else you come up with.
Great job but considering the subject matter – would it turn out anything but great? The trainer and handler will love this! Can’t wait to see what Muffy, the Diva, page looks like to start with and then continuing on with Top Dog Status. Then, our beloved Brody’s will be extra special too I am sure complete with a pearl on the butt picture! Hey, how about Brady and his new adventures?
Great job!

I love this first page of Lexi, so pretty! She is soooo adorable! I have the original MDS but have never used it! With all the pics I take of my dogs I’m sure it would be a fun thing to do! Good for you for jumping in with both feet! I’m looking forward to seeing more of what you create with this great software!
If I were still scrapbooking MDS would be the way to go for sure! It will be perfect to follow Lexi’s adventures!
She’s beautiful, but she also looks like a playful pup; cute! I’m such a rubber stamper that MDS scares me; I just wasn’t raised in the computer era! But you’ve done an excellent job with MDS that it gives me hope that one day I may actually try it!
I wanted to say hi to you at convention and talk about your beautiful boxers. My son has one and I adore him. I love it when my son has to go on business and I get to dog sit. He is just 2 years old and I love him to bits. So when I see your pics of your furbabies it reminds me of him. Lexi looks just like our baby did at that age. Thanks for sharing all your pics and MDS pages on your boxers. Love them

I love your first page. Great picture of Lexi. It will be fun seeing the upcoming pages also.
Beautiful layout and such cute picture of Lexi.

I have fallen to the siren call of MDS2 as well. Best part is that I can travel with it! Awesome idea for documenting Lexi and the twins!
Got your tech on!! Nice job!
Great job, Ann! Beautiful page for such a cute girl! Gotta love MDS!
Look at you getting all “MDS savvy”! I knew it would only be a matter of time. Lexi looks gorgeous and it wouldn’t be one of your creations without those pretty pearls! 🙂
Hi Ann, oh my I have been trying to get into MDS but it scare the bejeebies out of me. I like your page and I wish I had something to scrap but myself. I did take pics when my sisters and Mom were up here from IA but don’t even know where to start. Congrats on going there girl! Hugs, Bev
