It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players. This week the lovely Lesley is treating us to a trio of delightful colors: Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, Basic Gray. I felt this challenge would be perfect for the new Quint-Essential stamp! At only $8.95, this is one stamp which should be in everyone’s collection! Today’s card is easy and versatile! Just change out the Sweet Essentials sentiment, and you are ready to send this card out for a variety of occasions.
The finished card measure 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ long.
- Fabulous in Five! The Quint-Essential Flower stamp is custom made for layering! I used the following inks and punches for the five layers: Basic Gray (2-3/8″ Scalloped Circle Punch), Melon Mambo (1-3/4″ Scalloped Circle Punch), Lucky Limeade (1″ Circle Punch), Basic Gray (3/4″ Circle Punch), Melon Mambo (1/2″ Circle Punch).
- Accent on the Sentiment! A small Lucky Limeade butterfly, from Papillon Potpourri, sits atop a Melon Mambo butterfly, punched with the new Elegant Butterfly Punch. The “Thinking of You” sentiment is from the fabulous Sweet Essentials sentiment set.
- A Touch of Texture! A single snippet of 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon looks classy racing across a strip of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper. The Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder imparts even more texture, and complements the Basic Pearls.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Quintessential Flower is one of my favorite stamps from the new catalog. How about you…do you have a favorite set from the new catalog? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one! And speaking of comments…thank you for all of wonderful comments about Lexi and all of the supportive comments about Brody. I will let all of you know the results of tomorrow’s surgery. Of course, if you have any questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

love this card, I was thinking about ordering that stamp, guess its on the get list now!! Im jealous I am an avid dog lover but I have only one small dog now. I enjoy reading about them.
Love all the layering in your flower & the sweet pearl embellies. 🙂
Beautiful card & take on the colors. I love the recently retired triple treat flower & the quintessential flower is similar in the dimension (with punches) and color that can be achieved with just the one stamp. Yet quintessential has a totally new, trendy look with more layers- it’s definitely at the top of my new catty list.
Love all of the fun patterns on your card, it gives it such wonderful movement! Your new pup is CUTE…congrats!
Lily is a sure sweetheart! I’ve been checking your blog everyday to see any news about Brody. Have been praying for you all as well.
I’m sure he’ll be fine.
Beautiful card with the quint. flower. I love it!
Another fabulous card! I just broke down and purchased the Neutrals Paper Pack and am loving it. So glad I did. Thanks for blessing my day. 🙂
Woof, woof – I’m sad – Mom doesn’t feel good she has a sore leg. I can’t remember does she stamp with her hands or her feet! I’m usually making a pest out of myself. Hi Lexi and Muffy and (swoon) Brody! :))))))
This is so pretty, Ann! And you pointed out some sets in the new catalog that I hadn’t paid any attention to. Now my list has become longer!
Gorgeous card Ann…love the new goodies! Mine arrive on Tuesday, yeah! Congrats on your newest member of the family too…Lexi is adorable!
Hi Ann! This is stunning! I love how you pulled these colors together with this fabulous new stamp. SO pretty! The butterfly and pearls are perfect finishing touches too.
Oh that Lexi! She looks like she is laughing or singing! Perhaps her big brother Brady’s music was playing in the background? I’d be kissing that face all day long. Keep us posted on Brody please. Thinking of him tomorrow. Big hugs.
Stunning card–I will certainly be taking a look at this stamp in the catalog. Have a great week. D
I love the card and the way you put the colors together. Thanks for pointing the Quintessential Flower stamp and the versatility of it. My favorite set would probably be Serene Silhouettes, although I do not have it yet., maybe later.
I love the colors of your card. I never would have thought to use them together. As for the Quint-Essential stam set, I mmust have missed it in the catalog. I wil make sure that I go back and check it out. I love your card Ann as always it’s beautifull.
As for Lexi and Brody I have not been keeping up with visiting you. I hope they are both doing well.

Wasn’t sure about that color combination but you managed to pull it out wonderfully! That DP looks sort of like a wrought iron fence with a big colorful flower poking through. I like the stitched black ribbon on it too. But then there are the embossed polka dots, the pearls and the butterlies to attract attention. Great job as usual. I haven’t decided what my favorite new stamp or stamps are yet. What a cutie Lexi is! Hugs for tomorrow!

Love how you made the colors work together. That stamp is on my wish list. Good wishes for Monday and Brody.

Love that color combo and what you did with one stamp!
What a beautiful card. You have used the colors in perfect proportion.
Lexi? What did I miss…I have to go back…. who is squiggly omg can’t wait to read back!
This card is great! I really like the up and down background white with baubles and straight lines! It just makes everything come to life! The paper and brad are gorgeous and the color choices just add so much dimension. off to see who Lexi is???? xox

Oh wow, you’ve made these bright and cheery colors look oh-so-elegant! Love the way you’ve incorporated all the colors into the layers and the bevy of pearls is gorgeous! Swet little Lexi too…
The colours on your card just say summer. I love the quint-essential flower and it is on my list. I think this stamp will prove to be very useful. Love the little butterfly you added. Lexi is so cute!
How do you take an already lovely layered flower and make it better? You “Schach-ify” it with some pretty pearls! Wowza! This is beautiful Ann! That stamp was a must have for me as soon as I saw it…now I can’t wait for that order to get here. I especially love that sweet butterfly accent you added. Perfect touch, as always. 🙂
I’m always excited when I get an email notification from The Stampin’ Schach! And Ann, as usual, I wasn’t disappointed!!! Your card is beautiful. I love the color combination! Our Shana is gray, and we like to dress her up with pink collars with rhinestone bling. Love the pic of Lexie! She looks like she’s real comfy in her new home.
Awesome card, Ann….love all those floral layers!! And Lexi looks like she is a happy dog!!!
Gorgeous!! Don’t laugh, but when I saw your card this morning, I got a little teary-eyed. It’s pretty, I love butterflies, and the sentiment spoke to me! I know…I’m crazy, but this trip is making me a little emotional because it’s tough! SUCH a cute pic of Lexi….I just wanna snuggle with her!! XOXO
Ann I really like the colors Lesley picked and am enjoying all the DT sample… wow. So bright and cheery and your card is perfect for many occassions by changing out the sentiment, as you said… I did not order this set either but you always change my mind on sets. Just beautiful. hugs
I hadn’t even noticed that stamp yet! Love the pearls on it and the new butterfly punch. Pretty color combo too.
Two sets that immediately caught my eye were Happy Hour (I never did get the old Cheers set) and Papillon Potpourri.
Wow! Awesome card! You have really made these colors sing! Now I HAVE to have both of these stamp sets!
I just love that pic of sweet little Lexi! I know she is bringing much joy into your home!
That new stamp has unlimited possibilities – love all of your layering – looks terrific! And oh that Lexi is sweet!
Love this, Ann! You’ve really highlighted the flower in a fabulous manner! Hope you have a great week and love the lil’ shot of Lexi at the end. She’s just as excited about your card as the rest of us!
Beautiful card Ann.
Lexi looks so comfy and relaxed with not a care in the world.

Love all these colors together, so pretty
Love this card and this stamp. It should arrive with tomorrows shipment. Can’t wait to try it out. This is a perfect card for my stack classes.
Love the picture of your new baby!
Love this! I was so sad when the Triple Treat Flower retired UNTIL I saw the Quint-Essential Flower.
Praying that all goes well with Brody tomorrow!
WOAH! COOL!!! Clean and simple with LOTS of pearls! Love it!
Well I didn’t order that stamp this time around….might have to be on the next order! Beautiful card, Ann! And all those layers on that flower!
Love the pic of Lexi! It is not strange to see a dog lay on its back like that, but I have a cat that lays like that all the time, too. Right in the middle of the floor and doesn’t move. We have to walk around or over her. haha
Oh, darn! Now I need this stamp! I do like its use with the punches. Great job of mixing these colors. Your card is so pretty!
Wow – did you ever make those colors sing! And in harmony too : ) Love that Lexi with her little loose baby skin – so cute. Smooches to the pooches.
So glad I haven’t submitted my order as I was debating on this stamp! 🙂 Thanks for making me need it. Ha!
