Happiness for The Paper Players

It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!  Lesley has a lovely sketch for us this week.  Since I needed a wedding card, I opted to make one which will be hand-delivered.  I plan on making a box to hold it from coordinating paper.  It is not a design that will suit everyone’s taste.  However, I know that the bride loves a vintage look, and I know she will love the dimension achieved by popping the focal image upon a rosette.

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

The finished card measures 4-1/4” x 5-1/2″.

  • Snip! Snip! The floral wreath was snipped from an Apothecary Art image and watercolored with Always Artichoke and Regal Rose inks! The idea for embellishing the label using a snippet from the Elements of Style stamp set is courtesy of the Stampin’ Up! catalog!
  • Faux lace! The gorgeous Island Indigo lacey border was snipped from a pattern from Fan Fair Designer Series Paper.
  • Pearls galore! Basic Pearls add a little “oomph” to the centers of the flowers and emphasize the scallops!

I love the unexpected “pop” of color added with the Island Indigo Fan Fair pattern paper.  How about you?  Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one of them.  Of course, if you have questions about any of the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
