Many of you have followed the Twins and their escapades for over a year and a half now, and you know how much of my life revolves around them. They have been my constant companions since my retirement, and I love them dearly.

Brody winning Best of Breed |
Last Tuesday we had a bump removed from Brody’s side. I didn’t mention it on the blog, because I thought that it would be similar to the bump that was removed earlier from his leg, which was a juvenile fatty tumor. However, our vet received the biopsy report yesterday. Brody’s latest bump was a cancerous Stage II mast cell tumor. Although our vet assured us that she removed it all, and placed him on drugs, I am still filled with sadness…we have discovered a second bump below his ear. This bump will be checked out Monday. We are hoping for the best outcome possible and that he will be filling our lives with love for many, many more years. Until next time…
Ann – Our prayers are with you and Brody. We wish many long happy years together.
Oh my gosh, Ann… I am sooooo sorry…
I haven’t been around Blog Land for a while – work and stuff, and lots of travelling with work has just got in the way.
i can only imagine what you are feeling like with this.. and I hope that it was good news on Monday. Please let me know one way or the other…
With lots of love, and healing wishes..

I am so sorry to see that Brody has another lump. You must be so worried and full of apprehension as to the outcome. Our pets are family and we can’t stand to see them hurt or in distress. My thoughts are with you. Hugs
Oh my goodness, Ann. My eyes are welling up with tears. I wish the very best for Brody and you. I totally understand how precious our fur babies are! Just thinking about anything happening to mine causes me distress! Hugs!!
I am so sorry and know EXACTLY how you feel. My sweet little Yorkie Murphy had a lump removed on his chest that was cancer. They got it all but he keeps getting more lumps but only the 1 was cancerous. That was 3 years ago and he is still a happy and sassy little Yorkie that I adore.
But my little female went for a routine teeth cleaning and died from complecations from putting the thing down her throat. So you just cherish everyday they are with you and thank God for such wonderful companions.
I really hate to hear the news about Brody. My boxer, DJ, was much older when this happened to him and it sounds like you have an excellent vet. I believe in the power of prayer so my prayers are with you and Brody! Give Brody a big hug for me! 🙂

Ann – over a very sad family crisis today my 14 year old said: “trust.” I said “trust what…there is nothing to trust now.” He said: Trust God. That is why we are here right this moment in this pain and sadness. Just focus on the trust, not your thoughts about the sadness, just your trust of God and nothing else”…
So sorry to hear of Brody’s mass. Will keep him (and your whole family)
in our thoughts and prayers. I recently lost my 11 yr old Shar-Pei to cancer and know your pain. Hope removing the second mass will be all he needs.
Ann – I’m so sorry to hear about Brody. I can hardly write this without tears coming to my eyes. My heart is breaking for you but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you for a good report.
