It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players! This week the lovely and talented LeAnne has a sketch challenge for us…and what a fabulous sketch it is. When I saw the central circle, I immediately thought of Stampin’ Up!’s new Hostess Set, Four Seasons. Because I wanted to use the warm tones of the Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper collection, I selected the Fall image. I hope you enjoy today’s card!
- “Comfort” colors! The warm colors of Comfort Cafe are perfect for fall cards. Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, and the new In-Color, Summer Starfruit, are a perfect trio for inking up the Fall Wreath image from Four Seasons. And for a touch of contrast, Always Artichoke completes the picture!
- Texture! Nothing adds warmth to a card like texture. A Cajun Craze Labels Framelit was zipped through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The result is as warm and comforting as a favorite quilt!
- The perfect sentiment! Who can resist the wisdom behind the Kindness Matters sentiment from the set of the same name?
- A small touch of warm elegance! A fall card can always benefit from a simple touch of elegance. An Always Artichoke Seam Binding double bow, created in seconds, is the perfect answer when a card needs a little extra!
The Twins are dog tired. They have helped me price over 100 retiring and previously retired stamp sets. I have decided to really clean out my stamps, so I will be listing sets from previous years and from the mini catalogs, too. I will be posting my list the first part of June.
What do you think of this stamp set? I can’t wait to use the winter image! And I love Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper! I have a feeling I will be using more than one package of it throughout the upcoming year. As always, your comments are so very important to me, and I do read each and every one! Of course, if you ever have any questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
Oh my Ann this card is so fantastic with all of those layers and that double bow is to die for. You certainly showcased this new set fabulously!
It has been both an honour and a pleasure stamping along side of you at The Paper Players these last 3 months. ~Hugs to you and the twins~
This is gorgeous, Ann! I love those fall colors that you used (although I am not ready to think about fall just yet *smile*). Love the frame you created for your focal image – your attention to detail always astounds me!
Such beautiful rich colors and so many details! You never cease to impress! 🙂
Thanks, Ann, for being so encouraging over the last three months of my guest designer role at The Paper Players. You are a one of a kind stamper with a whole lot of talent! Many blessings to you and your family!! (Don’t worry I’ll still be “around” from time to time…)
Before I get to your card, plese give those sweet twins a hug for me. Ugh, they are gorgeous, Ann! Your card is also pretty good-looking! 😉 I see that hostess set in a new light right now and it is a “must-have”. Your colors are so rich and you added the perfect details, as always. Beautiful! 🙂
You must have really worked Muffy and Brody hard that they are so tired. 🙂 Very attractive card! Something about it makes me think of Scandanavian designs.
Your Boxers are adorable…I just love the way one furry friend can take up the whole chair! Love the new stamp set and the Framelet!
What a great card! I love the vibrant colors. The textured background adds depth, and the pretty double bow is a wonderful accent that adds contrast. Love it!!! The Twins look so comfy. They have the right idea. 🙂
Lovely card with vibrant colors, however being a Boxer rescue family, I was more taken with your beautiful Boxer. We just rescued a very talkative 2 year old boy named Jake. What a love. Anyway, I really do love the cards and can hardly wait for my next order and the beautiful paper.

Hi Ann! Beautiful, cozy card! I really like the textured framelit and your discription of the quilt-perfect. This dsp is amazing and Starfruit goes well with Autumn colors. I have to admit that this color is growing on me. lol! Love the pooch pics. You sure wore them out with that big job of yours. Wished I lived down the street to come to your sale. Hope your Monday is wonderful!
The Fall wreath image and new DSP are lovely and so perfect together. Another beautiful card.

Beautiful card Ann. Love those earth tone colors. Terrific job on the bow.
What a rich and spicey card! The starfruit is a good cool compliment to the spicey cajan craze and mustard. Of course we need the awesome artichoke double bow for the veggie factor is just perfect! Why didn’t soft suede get a food-type of name? We could have a nice gourmet meal going on here. Enough gastrnomical nonsense – I love the card right down to the sweet little birdie in the middle! That new DP is stunning, I want to play with it now but I guess I gotta wait. Great texture and that signature pearl! Hey, we have another food-the oyster with the pearl!

Just love this card! I can’t think of any hostess that could pass up this set. After seeing your work it will be a must have for everyone.
Wow 100 stamp sets..that is huge. The Twins look worn out I can only imagine how you must feel.
Beautiful and elegant! Love it! But I’m not ready for Fall yet! I just started my summer vacation.
Your poor pups! You must have worked them too hard. I bet they were a lot of help!

Very nice, Ann. I like what you did to the little bird in the middle of the circle. And I like how you used the framelit. Great texture, too.
Gorgeous! That Framelet thingey REALLY spiced up the circle. I like that idea. And you could easily change that ribbon to a light green or a yellow and it could be a Spring/Summer card with no problem. The poor twins – isn’t there a child labor law where you live?
