It’s Thursday, and time to play at Pals Paper Arts! This week the talented Margaret Moody has designed a sketch for us which is just up my alley! As for me, I translated the circular element into a rosette, using the Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die. I had purchased this die during a pre-order last December and had never used it. What was I thinking? I LOVE this die…and I hope you will love today’s card! By the way…the only thing which was stamped was the sentiment! Enjoy a “Rosette for the Pals”…
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Using Designer Series Paper
This finished card measures 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″.
- Rosette! I capitalized on the patterns in the beautiful Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper. Using the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch, I punched out a circle which featured flowers and swirls. This was adhered to a Rosette created with the Designer Rosette Bigz Die. A few Basic Pearls and a snippet of Marina Mist 5/8″ Satin Ribbon, and the focal point of this card was complete!
- Take a cue from the hue! The Floral pattern from Beau Chateau was tinted using Blender Pens with Marina Mist and Pink Pirouette inks in order to match the Rosette image. A quick zip through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder…and a trio of Pearls…adds texture and bling!
- Forever and Always! With a curl and a snip, the sentiment from Loving Thoughts is the perfect finishing touch!
And don’t worry about an envelope for this one-of-a-kind card! Just use the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate to create an envelope box!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. I know I enjoyed creating it for you! Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one. And of course, if you ever have a question about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…
(Just a note: Muffy Lin and I will be having a girls’ weekend away. She and I will be out of town until late Sunday evening, with limited internet access. So don’t despair if I don’t get to your questions right away. There’s nothing better than spending time with your BPGP…Best Puppy Gal Pal!)

Wow, Ann – that rosette is stunning! And this card is so you – as I can see you in the colors and details. You rocked this card and the challenge! Can’t wait to play along if I can find time…
It’s all a WOW Ann ~ love the rosette, the colouring, EF on the painted CS….fabulous…all of it ~ thanks for sharing Ann and have a wonderful weekend ๐
Another lovely creation Ann. I like the idea of amping up the designer paper. Have a great weekend with Muffy.
That Rosette is WOW!! It pops right off the card, Ann! I love your creation.
Gorgeous rosette Ann! Love the colour combo too! Great sketch this week!
sheesh! you never cease to amaze me. the coloring is impeccable and you rocked the rosettes die. beautiful work by a true master! hugs, mary
Ann, what a great chuckle I had with your “BPGP”!! Hope you girls have a fabulous weekend together!
Your card is stunning yet I appreciate how you demonstrate the way designer paper can be incorporated to make a gorgeous card a wee bit less labor intensive, such as using the dp atop the rosette.
Great ideas and inspiration with your beautiful card! Thanks!
This card is BEAUTIFUL from ‘forever to always’!! Perfect!
Well, I am not big on the rosettes but I do love your card with it. Of course the colors, texture, that fabulous little bow and the pearls really are the great details for me. You know you will have to do a video tutorial on it and show us all the fun things that can be done!
Have fun on your getaway with Muffy. I am very jealous you know! I agree don’t let her hog the bed or at least get two beds! You are going to tell us what all you two did!

Very pretty, Ann! Love the colors and that Rosette is just such a nice addition.
Enjoy your time with your time away with Muffy!
This card is very “ANNE!” Right down to the pearls! Love the muted look and the use of the Blender Pens.
Love this card and what you did with the DSP. What width did you cut the paper for the rosette? This would also be pretty with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch. I have some of that paper and just might try some of your ideas. I am with many other who love that bow! So simple and yet so elegant.
Hi Muffy – have a woofingly good time with your girls weekend. Wish I could be there. ๐
Thanks for blessing my day and inspiring my art. ๐
Gorgeous!!! Love the colors and the vintage look! I look forward to your posts and your cards are a work of ART! Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic! I love the die, the ds paper , and the colors you chose.
Your cards and talent never ceases to amaze me! Another absolutely fabulous card by Ann! ๐
Love that embedded floral image, Ann, and also the large rosette. Now, THAT is a hand-delivered kinda card! LOL Wouldn’t want to crush that beauty. ๐
Beautiful, as always! I love the added pearl bling, very pretty.
This is so pretty, Ann. I love all the texture you added to the card with the embossing, pearls, rosette. It’s another “wow” for sure!
Ann, beautiful card. And to think that the only stamping was the sentiment. Your rosette is wonderful and I don’t have that one hmmmm.
You and Muffy have a great girls weekend.
Ann Lovin’ this sketech and this card is gorgeous! Your rossette is beautiful! I made some the old fashioned way, but my NEW die just came, so I can’t wait to try it. I love the scallop ends… mmmmmmm.
Hugs
Beautiful card! Love the embossing on the Beau Chateau paper. Don’t have the rosette die so will have to come up with something else. You are very creative and I love your card!
Beau Chateau looks fabulous embossed and dressed up in pearls! The rosette is terrific! Have fun with Muffy Lin – don’t let her hog the bed ๐
Great job with the sketch — love the color combo you chose!
SQUEEEEEE!!! Is it weird that my favourite element is the little knotted ribbon on the focal point? I think it just makes the whole card!
Another “Wow” card! Your talent never ceases to amaze me!
This card is absolutely stunning! I am in awe of the simplicity to create it, yet it looks completely hand stamped. Anyone would be lucky to receive this beautiful creation! I have put off buying the rosette die – but I am seriously considering it now.
Hi Ann! What a fabulous card design! I can’t believe you didn’t stamp anything but the sentiment. And the rosette die…I thought that was huge for scrapbooking? How did you scale yours down for a card? I’ve never tried one of those yet but I want to. They look so polished and fancy. Beautiful texture and details. I love that tiny ribbon bow in that gorgeous satin. I have missed that color somehow. You always showcase things that are new to me! Thanks. Hope you have a wonderful “girls” weekend away. Bet Brody will be jealous. Hope he doesn’t pout when you return. ; )
Great card! I love the color palette, and as always, I love your textured backgrounds. Warning! Rosettes are addictive!!!
Wow, this is awesome! I didn’t even know that die existed, I will have to check it out now! Love the Beau Chateau paper and love how you’ve incorporated it in your main image and background as well! And that bow is so cute! I hope you and Muffy Lin have a wonderful girl’s weekend together!
Very pretty. I have that rosette and really haven’t put it to good use yet. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love the Rossette. Have a great weekend!
Well that certainly blows away any dislike I may have been harboring for the pink/blue combination!! Magnificent!
Very, Very stunning card

Beautiful! I haven’t used my die yet either. You have inspired me to try. I hope rosettes are easier with the die because I am definitely “rosette challenged”. Thanks for showing this lovely card, Ann!
