Here’s a little peek at this week’s Pals Paper Arts challenge card. It uses a Big Shot die I purchased when it was first released last year. I had never even taken it out of the wrapper. Now that I have finally used it, I wonder why I waited so long! I hope you will join me Thursday for the reveal!

I greeted the newly released Last Chance List with both sadness and anticipation! I will miss some of my old favorites, like Baroque Motifs and Nature’s Silhouettes…and some of my newer favorites too, such as Friends Fur-ever and A Christmas Carol. Each stamp set I own has its own little story that makes it difficult to say good-by. For example, I will always treasure Baroque Motifs because I purchased it with Christmas money I received from my friend, Shirley. It will always hold a cherished spot in my collection. The same is true of Loads of Love. It was in my Starter Kit. Even though I seldom used it, I will never part with it. It is part of my Stampin’ Up! heritage. A Christmas Carol was only available for one year, but it will be a keeper for me. I love the image and the cards I have made with it. Here is one last look at a few cards made with A Christmas Carol (W 122635, C 122637).
So…what about you? Is there a favorite that you hated to see on the list? Is there something on the list that you just have to have before it is too late? Won’t you let me know in today’s comments? Until next time…
I am going to miss the Carolers also. So glad I purchased the set when I did. I will definitely continue to use it.
Beautiful card. Love the way you used the DSP. Your rosette is awesome. TFS
Looking forward to you card tomorrow; looks like some Beau Chateau dp? Also curious about the die you used.
Lots of old standby’s going away this year, including Loads of Love and Baroque Motif. They’ve been around for a long time, but it’s hard to see them go. However, I’m sure SU will have some fabulous replacements in the new catalogue!
I haven’t even been through the whole list yet! So, I am unsure at this moment.
Now, this card – I am unsure what die you are talking about and awaiting eagerly to see it. Of course the texture has my attention. Looking forward to the full reveal.
Now, back to the list and my catalog to see what is retiring before I retire for the night!

Ann, I tried to leave you a comment earlier but google didn’t save it. Wonders of mondern technology.
I can’t wait to see what die you have used and I know that your card will be beautiful with it.
I am sorry to see some of the stamps retire. But we need to be positive…we’re getting all sorts of new stuff.
I am sorry to see Loads of Love go. It makes such fantastic masculine cards. As well, Fifth Avenue Floral and Upsy Daisy are two that I used a lot as well.
I hope this saves this time. Have a great day
I was very happy to see that not many items on my wish list were retiring. I’m not a demonstrator, so I can keep using the ones I do have that are now retiring. So happy I did get some of them when I did. Helps keep my cost down, at least for now until all the new goodies come out that I can’t resist. The ones that I’ve been eying that I now have to decide on are Fox & Friends (just love those cute little animals), turtle & Co (gotta love that cute turtle & frog) & Flower Fest. I’ve been eyeing flower fest since it was in the mini & I keep resisting since I have so many flower images, but I just love the look of the butterflies on this one.
Since I am not a demo, I don’t stress much about what retires etc. I have stamped for over 14 years so I have quite a collection of stamp sets. Loads of love has seen lots of love from me as well as Upsy Daisy, Vintage Vogue, and Friends Never Fade.
Herb Expressions. I have it, but I still hate to see it retire. It is very dear to me. I have a herb garden, and this set is near to my heart.
Surprisingly the retiring list didn’t hit me too hard. A lot of the stamps I have are being carried over. But, I will miss Wedding Sweet and Studio Sketches; they will continue to live in the retired drawer.
Yes!! Charming and Baroque Motifs. :O(
I am in complete agreement with your anguish! Baroque Motifs has been a favorite ever since it came out and it was one of the first stamp sets I purchased. I will never be able to part with it.
I can’t wait for your full reveal!! There are few sets I can’t let go either. Loads of Love isn’t one of them, but I’m not quite ready to let go of “Friends Fur-Ever” or “You’re a Gem”.
another stunner I’m sure…I’m on the same page as Carol, I don’t really retire my stamp sets….some I do, but mostly hang onto them…like Baroque Motif, how do you NOT have that in your stash!!! Can’t wait to see the card you created Ann ~ Enjoy your day!
Your peek is inticing! Looking forward to the reveal! I always wanted Loads of Love but never purchased it. Two sets that I am sad to see go are, Inspired by Nature and Fifth Avenue Floral. I have both of them though, use them often and I don’t plan on letting go of them. So I guess the only drawback will be not being able to demo them anymore. : ) I am SO excited for the new stamp sets and I’m looking forward to inkin’ them up!
Interesting peek! The retiring list is long. Up to this point I have never gotten rid of any stamps but I am thinking I just might have to. They are overtaking my room and I rarely use them once they retire. Looking forward to some new and exciting sets.
Both the cards you have made with this set are so lovely, Ann. I have some old favorites that retired that I will miss, too.
I can’t wait to see this card! Very interesting!
There are several sets I hate to see go. But I don’t get rid of my stamps, so it is not a big a problem for me. There were several on the retiring list that I had on my wish list and I have decided that I really don’t need most of them. I am excited to see what new things are coming out. And make my wish list all over again!
I love studying how different people can be. I think of all the stamp sets you listed, Loads of Love is the only one I have, and I use it a lot! It’s good for anyone, including kids and men. I usually use the coordinating wheel to make a “road” and cut out some “grass” and cut out the truck itself so it stands out. I love it. As for the cards you’re showing, I much prefer the second one. Can’t wait to see the card we’re peeking at because the color combination is not something I would use but it looks so intriguing!!
That last card holds a special spot for me because I HAVE IT!!! The best Christmas card I got last year!!!!
Loads of Love is something I rarely use either, but I’ve had it from the very beginning….how can you part with such old friends???
