A PPA Peek and Brody, Too

It’s time for a little peek at this week’s Pals Paper Arts card.  The Design Team members who have already seen it have said it is quite different for me…and I must agree with them.  All I can say is that I bought this stamp set when it first came out, and then I never used it.  Have you ever done that before?  It is a masculine card, so the question is whether or not I used pearls. I can’t wait to hear what you think of this one!  So won’t you join me Thursday for the reveal? And just because my first peek does not give you much to go on, here is a second peek:

Big Boy Brody

Brody the Boxer showed at Columbia, Missouri last weekend.  A friend who happened to be there snapped this photo of what I will call “Grumpy Brody”.  As much as they tried to get him to put his ears up, he refused to cooperate.  What a pooh!  However, my little boy is growing up.  He still has at least one more year before he reaches his prime, but just look at how much he has grown since this first picture I took of him and Muffy.  I never thought I would make it through those puppy days with the Twins!

Big Boy Brady

And in a twist of fate, Brady the Boy will be auditioning and interviewing this Friday for a teaching assistant position at the University of Missouri in…you guessed it…Columbia, Missouri!  My two-legged boy is also growing up!

I hope that you have enjoyed today’s peeks…at both the card and my two big boys!  And please, won’t you join me for Thursday’s reveal! In the meantime, remember your comments are important to me. I do read each and every one of them.  Until next time…

  5. I loved seeing both your boys, small and large. Those pix brought a smile to my face! What a neat professional portrait of Brady.

  6. I’m excited to see your masculine card. They can be so fun because you can really get into the distressing and get nice and inky making them (I give away several each year to relatives and co-workers).

Hope Brady gets the job if he decides he would like to teach there! Can’t believe he is done with school all ready.

Fun coincidence with Brody being shown in the same town! And he has grown to be such a handsome dog. Thanks for sharing all the pictures.

  7. Interesting peak. Love when you venture out of your vintage box. You never disappoint. Mighty handsome boys you’ve got in the Schach house. Good luck to Brady on his interview.

  8. It seems a little rustic looking – vintage rustic or rustic vintage? Maybe you coined a new term? This card has to be interesting to cause all this commotion!

Love the photos of the boys. That would be great if Brady had that job as it is close to home – sort of – at least a lot closer than a coastal city! Brody, doesn’t look to happy – was it after the show and maybe he didn’t agree with the “judd?” Anyway, loved all the photos! Unitl tomorrow!

  9. Can’t wait to see what beautiful creation you come up with for this reveal! Very Interesting????
Our children grow up sooo fast… even our four legged ones. I will keep my fingers crosses for this teaching position. Prayers always!

  10. Love your cards! And good luck to Brady… I am a Mizzou alum and my oldest goes there as well. It is a great college town.

  11. The boys are growing up. They all do that way too fast.

Interesting peek. I’ll be back to see the reveal.

  12. Hi Ann, I am looking forward to the reveal tomorrow. Your card looks intriguing and masculine cards are always a much needed commodity. Your boys are sure growing up and changing. Congrats to Brady.

  13. Oh my word!! Does Brady the Boy know you put that picture of him up on your blog? What a difference in the “puppies” – WOW!

And…I see colour spritzer – WOOT!

  14. I don’t usually take the time to comment, but I do enjoy your almost daily card inspiration, how the doggies are doing and the very personal pride in your “real” son. Thanks for taking the time to share your talents. I like your style!

  15. Ann I can’t wait to see the reveal. I”m always at a loss for masculine cards and I’m sure if there is a pearl involved, it will be well placed!!
Brody the dog HAS grown up! Just as fast as little children… like Brady the boy! What a cute photo of your little man.
I was catching up and just scrapping (and posting) my little grandkids and I can’t believe HOW FAST time flies!

  16. Hi Ann! Just can’t wait to see your card tomorrow. Love the pics. Brody looks as though he is in deep thought. Perhaps he was missing a favorite toy? I will say a prayer for Brady to do well on his interview. How exciting! Love his pics.

  17. Can’t wait to see the card. Yes, both boys are growing up & both very handsome. Congrats to Brady!

  18. I like all the distressing! And, what a handsome son! And pooch, too! LOL

  19. I will be thinking of Brady and hoping for him on this interview. How exciting! He is no longer that little baby you brought home from the hospital – that’s for sure!

  20. Wow. At first glance I thought brocade, but when I read it was masculine my eye then saw weathered metal sign. Is Brody sticking out his tongue? Gorgeous! And again, I can’t get over both your son and the photgraphy. That photographer brings all kinds of emotions to the surface. Just amazing! BTW, I think some men would like some pearls, they aren’t that feminine of a gem : )

  21. Before I read your post, my first thought was, ‘interesting. very, very interesting.’ I’m excited to see just what this really looks like. I bet it is ‘Schach Beautiful’! I’m betting you find a way to make a masculine pearl! 🙂

Love your boy stories and the little trip down memory lane. What a joy to see how far they have come, isn’t it? They were both adorable boys and now they are handsome males! What blessings!

  22. When I first looked at the peek I thought this looks rustic…what? Then I read your post & sure enough not a card I would normally see from you.
I enjoyed the pictures you shared of your “boys”.
Best of luck to the two legged boy. I hope he gets the job!

  23. Before I read your post I was thinking this is not a typical ‘Ann’ card! And I thought this just doesn’t look like a ‘pearl’ kind of card, but knowing you, you probably found some way to work your pearl magic!

And yes, your boys are growing up quite nicely. Congratulations to Brady!
