Loving Thoughts for The Paper Players

It’s Sunday…and time to play with The Paper Players! The lovely Nance Leedy has a theme challenge for us this week.  Just use a floral image on your card! I decided to meet this criteria by using the beautiful floral pattern from the Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper Collection, as well as by using the Apothecary Art stamp set.  I hope you enjoy today’s delightfully feminine and romantic card!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Feminine and Romantic

  • Patterns!  One way to create an air of  femininity is through the pattern papers you select. This romantic Floral design from Attic Boutique is a perfect choice for a romantic, feminine look!
  • Pearls! Nothing says “Girls” better than “Pearls”!  I could not resist mimicking the Doily pattern of this designer paper by adding three different sizes of Basic Pearls.

  • Dazzle! Dazzling Details add soft sparkle to the centers of the flowers in this Apothecary Art label.  (Tip:  For even more sparkle, dust with Dazzling Diamonds while still wet!) To get the narrow border around the label, I paper snipped around the stamped image, and then adhered it upon the Framelits label which is the same size as the original stamped image.
  •  Blossoms! Poppy Parade blossoms were snipped from a second Apothecary Art image and used to accent the sentiment.  I used the Simply Scored tool to form creases at each end of the sentiment, which I then folded to form an elevated banner.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  Don’t forget, I will be selecting one of you to be it’s new owner.  As always, your comments are important to me, and I do appreciate each and every one of them.  Of course, I am always available to answer any questions you may have about the cards that I create and the techniques that I use.  I am only an email away! Until next time…
