Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-Up below and you’ll be back on track.  Now on to my contribution to the “Hop”!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips:  Ultra-Vintage

The finished dimensions of this card are 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ long.

  • Crinkled and Doubled! Want to insure a vintage look for your card?  Crinkle the ribbon and double the bow! My “Double Bow Making Video” will show you just how easy it is to create a double bow.  And have you ever wondered how to make your ribbon super-crinkly?  Just wet with water, wad it up into a ball…and microwave it until dry.  Microwave??? Yep!  Taking a tip from the talented LeAnne Pugliese, a fellow Paper Player Design Team member, I microwaved the ribbon at 45-second intervals until dry.
  • Pop it up! The Apothecary Art image was stamped twice and colored using inks and a Blender Pen.  The flowers from one of the labels were snipped out with paper snips.  After distressing the edges with Soft Suede ink, the flowers were then popped onto the second label with Mini Glue Dots.  In typical vintage fashion, Basic Pearls were added to their centers.
  • Penchant for pins!  A snippet of lace, a snippet of crinkled seam binding, a tiny tag and a butterfly transform a new Hat Pins from Stampin’ Up! into a Victorian-style stick pin!

  • Depth and dimension! Just look at the luscious layers from the side! Will this card be mailed? NO! It is one which I will personally hand-deliver to the recipient.
I hope you enjoyed today’s vintage card.  Won’t you please let me know in your comment today?  Your comments are very important to me, and I do read each and every one.  Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards that I make or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away!

Btw, I’m not sure if it’s just my browser or what (I use Firefox) but when I click on the NEXT button from Tricia Barber’s blog to come to yours, things get wonky… Her SU site info is still at the top of the page and your blog is squished into the space where here blog would be. I had to go back to the list and click on your blog to get to your normal looking page.

    39. Wow! That certainly is “ultra” vintage. Beautiful! That is two new vintage styles you have come up with lately. You’re on a roll, girl.
