It’s time to take a peek at this week’s The Paper Players challenge card. I have two pictures of the card based upon pearl colors. Therefore, you will get two peeks! I definitely will want you to join me for the reveal on Sunday so you can tell me which version you prefer. They are exactly the same except for pearl colors.
When I was teaching, one of the assignments which I gave my students was to write down their goals. Research has shown that if we write down our goals and visit them periodically, we are more likely to achieve them. And I never asked my students to do anything that I myself did not do. Therefore, here are the goals which I have for The Stampin’ Schach for this year:
- Create more videos. Many of you have indicated that you enjoy my “Down Home with Ann” videos where I go through my thought and design processes.
- Share more tips…but you will need to check out my Facebook page or Tweets for these. I am going to try to regularly share these on Mondays and Fridays!
- Create a lesson each week. These will be From Me to You cards, with complete step-by-step instructions. As always, I will share these freely.
- Of course, I will still be sharing my Pals Paper Arts and The Paper Players Design Team Cards with you on Sundays and Thursdays!
- Get back on track with my Buried Treasure feature.
I will begin to implement these changes upon my return from Leadership!
I have a brand new “Eat Chocolate” clear mount stamp set eager to wing its way to a new home. This set is from the 2011 Occasions Mini catalog. TIP: Whenever I receive a new stamp set, I add a sticker recording the catalog in which it was first featured and the year. The little green sticker on this set says “OM 2011″…Occasions Mini 2011. One lucky person will be randomly selected from all comments left on this and Sunday’s post through Monday, Noon, CST. But, I need your help. Within your comment, would you do one or all of the following things:
- Suggest a different name for the “Down Home with Ann Schach” video segments.
- List a technique you would love to learn more about
- Suggest any other feature you would like to see on my blog
I can’t wait to read your comments! Until next time…
Stampin’ with the Schach!
I like the natural color of the pearls.
#1 How about “Ann’s Way” for the video name or “Bringing Home the Bling”. Stamp Mom’s Schach Attack is fun too!
I’m not on FB or Twitter very much so PLEASE do add your techniques to your main post too.
Congrats to our baby girl on her amazing Win (s) and here is to Brody’s future successes too. That stamp set would have a nice home at My Little Patch of Dirt.lolol
I love the green pearls – my favorite color! I’m not good at coming up with catchy titles, so I’ll leave that for the talented people. I enjoy your blog and would love to win the chocolate set!
Hello. I like the green pearls best – green being one of my favorite colors. But how did you get a permanent marker green to match? How about “Looking With Ann” for a video new name? Great blog & cards, Ann. TFS PS: Who doesn’t like chocolate!
I would like to know how to use a brayer. I have tried, but haven’t been successful.
I would like to know how to use a brayer. I have tried, but haven’t been successful.
How about “The Video Schach”?
I would like a segment on ideas to mass produce cards to use for the various charity places that want cards.
Thanks for offer of stamp set.
I really like the white pearls the best. How about Creative Expressions with Ann? You always come up with such good videos — and it is hard to know what products Stampin’ Up! is going to develop that customers will need more inspiration for and with. So I trust your judgmentas to what videos you will make!
I love the white pearls. And I like your tip about labeling the stamp sets and will have to try doing that. I find all your tips helpful and I love your style. As for a name I am not very creative but maybe “in the can by Ann”. Sorry that is pretty lame. Keep up the good work.
Ann..
It’s great to share your goals with all of us as they say once you write them down and share them with someone, you are more likely to accomplish them. I should do the same thing, myself. As far as the name of your video segment, “Down Home with Ann” could be “Clips from the Schach”, “Vignettes from the Schach”, or “Ann’s Video Vignettes”.
Hi Ann,
I think your videos could be called Secrets from the Schach. I like any video tip that you do….I am such a visual learner LOL.
hugs
Thanks for sharing your goals. It reminds me to get to work on my own!
Looking forward to your card reveal! I’d like to learn more about using my digital studio. I have it but don’t use it much. Any ideas?
Suggest a different name for the “Down Home with Ann Schach” video segments.
Stampin’ at the Schach with Ann
List a technique you would love to learn more about
Watercoloring would be a great one
Suggest any other feature you would like to see on my blog
Just more posts! I love reading your blog!
Since your blog is so inspirational to me, and I believe to others too, so it seems appropriate if you name your videos with ‘inspiration’ in the name.
I would like to learn new cut techniques, and you made distressing seem easy, so I would appreciate more tutorials on this.
Ann, thank you for the chance to win the stamp set that I didn’t buy when it was available, but wanted to.
Love the looks of this card, can’t wait to see all of it. How about renaming Down Home With Ann to Creating with Ann, From Idea to Art.
thanks for all you do to inspire us.

Ann wow lots going on in this one. I LOVE pearls any color, but right now I’m going with the white for peek, but not cut in stone yet.
LOVE your videos and I DO like the name now and agree with the other person who said it goes with your blog theme. I’m going to track you on FB too, but I’m not on there much (yet) — so hard to keep up with the blogs for me. Love your from me to you segment too… and thanks for a chance at some candy..whew! I hope I answered them all I can’t remember! (old age I guess.)
Hugs.
Design with Ann, Design Tips from Ann, Design Inspiration, Ann’s Paper Art. debra
what a great idea for tagging your sets! the white pearl card is my fav. laura j
You could call your videos “Ann’s Creative Process”. I’ve been following your blog for quite a few months now and I have to say I’ve never seen a video mentioned but from how you described them in this post it’s all about the process. As for other suggestions, I always bristle when I hear that the only place a person will be posting certain tings is on Facebook. I guess it’s the way things are going, but when a person/business tells me that I have to go to Facebook for a certain perk, I figure I don’t need that business and go elsewhere because I just don’t do Facebook. I can’t remember the other things you asked for suggestions about, but I’ve hit two of them. Happy New Year!!
thanks for sharing your goals with us!!! as for the pearls…well, green is my favourite colour ~ so ~ you guessed it, I’ll go with the green coloured pearls ~ love that, still haven’t coloured mine yet, so thanks for the nudge ๐ Enjoy your weekend!
Love your goals. For the video name, I like Stampin video pearls. I love the idea of using pearls in the name cause you are the pearl queen!
I can’t wait to see the reveal on this card!!! I think your videos should be Ann’s Home School, or Home School Episode _______.
First impression is I prefer the natural pearls but I can’t wait to see the entire card to see if my opinion changes:-) How about “The Pearl Queen Speaks” for your video segment name? And I would love to see technique videos because I am a technique lover! Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win this cute set!!!
Inky hugs,
Janet
Your card looks like another winner! Wouldn’t expect nothing less!! Can’t wait to see the rest of it!
Hi, thanks for the chance at “sweet” blog candy ๐ I would love to see a video of those ribbon flowers you made last year – they were so gorgeous!!
I like the bottom image better…seems brighter and cleaner somehow…
How about the Shach chat?
And, would love some tips on using the texture plates with my Cuttlebug…I’m just not getting great results.
Enjoy your weekend!
Hi Ann! From what I see, I like the white pearls. I’d love to see some videos on distressing, using the stamp-a-ma-jig, using the framelits and edgelits, and techniques for backgrounds, etc. Possible names for your video segments…The Schach scholar segment is my idea but I really like Pearls of Wisdom that Christy recommended too. I think you should know by now, we all love your blog just the way it is too!
I like the green pearls because they are different and catch your eye. It would be fun to learn some techniques using the new framelits. For your video name:
“Ann Schach’s Video Delights”
I love what what you showed of your card !! Can’t wait to see the whole thing.
cindy@henrytime.com
I love coloring the pearls but in this case I like the contrast of the regular color with the green. A couple of thoughts on the video name:
Inking Out Loud
Schach Talk
It’s funny you posted about goals for 2012. I’ve been thinking about it too; I’ve come up with a few but I don’t want to say them out loud because it sets me up for failure. Perhaps writing them down is the best way. I agree with others on here about Facebook. I’ve never gotten into the social media things (it takes too much time from my stamping) so I would probably miss out on a lot of great tips. Great idea about marking the stamp sets. I just added that to my goals.
I like the pearls “au natural”.
I would love to see some tips and techniques on coloring images with the aqua painter.
How about “Anne’s Artistic Answers” or “Schach’s Study Studio”. Ha ha, that’s a mouthful. Whatever you call it, thank you for sharing all of your inspiration”.
Hi Ann! Since you stamp in your kitchen, my suggestion for your video title is “In The Kitchen Ink with Ann”. Thanks for the chance to win blog candy!
Myself, I prefer the white pearls – seems like a better contrast. Love all your goals, something I should do, but have never set to paper. Thanks for the tip about marking the stamp sets, another thing I should do. I have my Spellbinders marked, why not the stamps??? Also agree with the gal that suggested you post your tips on your blog. I don’t care to use Facebook. I’m not good at coming up with catchy names, but see you do have some great suggestions. I’m sure whatever you decide on will be great and suit you to a tee!
How about a weekly technique card? Showcase/highlight a product weekly? I know many of other people are doing the same, and it will be good to see your take on that.
I like the traditional pearls at first glance as they bring out the off white from that red paper. . .can’t wait to see both cards in full.
Ilike the white pearls but could change after reveal tomorrow. I would like to see maybe some demo’s on watercoloring, I’m new to it and haven’t got the idea so far, seem to use to much water.
I would say the white pearls but something tells me we are going to love the green pearls better. No idea of what this card will look like but I bet it will be amazing from the quick peeks. Video – I came up with the Pearls of Wisdom at first and then Stressing and Distressing with Ann but that seems too, well, too something! I will think some more. Ummm, goals – just to get out of bed and breath is on my list for now! Videos to see, well ways of using those edge jobbers for one. I really like idea of taking a stamp and creating two entirely different ideas with it. How about “A Clip from the Corpse File” using some of your not ready for prime time pieces? Maybe if you had several pieces that are similar have a giveaway to see what others would do with them? I have that chocolate set and I need to use it more, it is a lot of fun to use. Great idea of labeling them.
Chris R. from Iowa
I am so intrigued to see the full reveal tomorrow. Right now I would say I prefer the white pearls, but the green do look pretty.
Very interesting sneak peeks with those colors–I am intrigued. Great goals–do you use MDS?–I would like videos with step by step instructions on creating cards, calendars and scrapbook layouts. My suggestion for a video title would The Stampin’ Schach Way which may already be listed as I didn’t have time to read all the comments. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for the blog candy chance.
– I suppose I’m a purist, because I like the white pearls better.
– As for the video name, I’ve always liked Down Home with Ann, but you do have some fun suggestions already.
– And for video ideas, you are so good at distressing, I would love to know how you decide what to distress and when to stop.
– Thanks so much for continuing to share with all of us on your blog and thank you for the chance to win some blog candy!
Loved Brady’s performance! Thanks for sharing.
I think Pearls of Wisdom was a fabulous idea for you. Down Home with Ann is still great but if you want a change to maybe keep you motivated – go for it. Ann’s Pearl Schach, maybe? Seeing techniques always makes me want to try them more so I’m looking forward to the videos.
I’d love some cards with the new framelits but with different stamp sets than the ones made for them. I am no good with coming up with ideas that are ‘outside the box’ LOL
Tagging the sets seems like a great way to spend a cold Saturday so off to the stamp room I go! Thanks for your great ideas. Enjoy your weekend.
Almost forgot…the white pearls, but I’m not committing to anything because you always change my mind ๐
Janet
Decisions, decisions! I think the green pearls are going to prove to be very interesting. While I like the classic pearls, I foresee something unique with the green. I can hardly wait to see the entire card!
I would also like to see cards made from the Rue de Fleurs set and the Apothecary Art set. And some cards from the Framelits dies as well. And for us Twins’ fans, lots of info about Brody and Muffy.
Your blog is so good that I can’t think of any improvements. I would like to learn more about distressing and the color spritzer tool. I also like your “down home” videos very much. And, I am going to choose green pearls. The bold colors in this card look exciting.
I think the white pearls look better but I’m curious to see the entire card; I haven’t been able to imagine what it will look like! I love you blog and you explain things so well; there isn’t one thing I would change, though [except having me win your blog candy, of course!]
Ann you are such an inspiration! I like the name Down Home with Ann just the way it is. As for the pearls, for now I am going with the traditional ones but I really need to see the “whole” card. Wink! I am off to my craft room to get something done. Can’t wait to see the finished card.
I think the white pears are better. That green seems a little off – pretty as it is!
If you are going to re-name your video segments (always a big decision, since the current title is very in keeping with the theme of your blog) I think something catchy with “art” in it would be cute. Like “Gettin’ Artsy with Ann.” Something equally homey. ๐
You are always such an inspiration to us all, since I can only imagine how busy you are. We are thankful for for all you do!
With just a snippet to go buy, I like the traditional pearls better. I Love the Down Home with Ann title and wouldn’t change it as it is so warm, friendly and inviting. Kathy in AZ
I like the green pearls best, so I’m dying to see the whole card now! I think it’s great to have goals for your crafting, they do keep you focused and stop you getting stuck in a rut. I do love watching your videos, too, so the more the merrier as far as I’m concerned!
I really like ChristyQ’s suggestion for your video name – Ann’s Stampin’ Pearls of Wisdom. Your sneak peak card looks wonderful! From what I can see so far, I prefer the contrast of the classic white pearls against the texture of the green background. Thanks very much for sharing your creative ideas with all of us. We appreciate you.
Ooooh! I like all your goals! Can’t wait to follow along your 2012 journey with you.
Right now, my fave is the green pearls. They just seem to “go” more with the card. Can’t wait for the full reveal!
How are the twins doing?
THREE. MORE. SLEEPS.
Ann….I would like to suggest that you share your tips on your blog as well as FB and Twitter…some of us dropped out of these sites for various reasons and miss your inspirations there! How about “Ready,Set,& Wow with Ann” for your videos?? Thanks for all you do for us! We do sincerely appreciate you and I especially love reading about the twins!
I love the white pearls better, however, have to see it all to make a true informed decision. ๐
Also, love all of your stuff…so I’m sure they will both be great!! They always are.
Should we add a “bless Brody’s neighbor day” again? to the list?
I like using white pearls.. guess it’s what i have on hand more…you have alot of great name ideas. as far as ideas?…I like seeing the new things that come out.. how they work..right now I’m interested in the edgelets dies.cannot wait to get lots of different ideas for how to use them. thanks for all the great ideas ๐
I can’t wait to see the reveal, I LOVE what I’m seeing already and so far I’m going with the green pearls because I love bright colors! As for renaming your videos, I already love your Down Home with Ann but if you really want to change it, how about Ann’s Video Pearls? I need to take a lesson from you and set some measurable goals for myself, particularly with blogging and stamping! I haven’t blogged in months and my stamping is way behind too! I could kick myself now for not getting that stamp set before it retired so I would absolutely love to win it! I also love your idea of tagging your stamp sets! No matter what you do, I love your blog just the way it is! Hugs for the Twins!
green always go with green, it is my fave color…love your goals and agree about writing them down. I am no good at catchy, fancy names but how about Sugar Schach??
I like the white pearls but who knows when i see the green ones. A name for your blog is a little tricky, i already see quite a few good ones. Keep up the inspiration!!
From what I can see, I prefer the white pears – can’t wait for the reveal! Love checking out your blog as is but I thank you for the idea of marking each stamp set. That may be one of my goals!
Ann ~ I guess at first glance I would have to say I like the original color on the pearls best but you are so capable of changing my mind. I would love to see more done with the brayer. I really struggle using it. As for a name the only thing that comes to mind is Schach’s Pearl Shack. I’m sure whatever name you come up with…we’ll all continue to visit! Have a blessed day!
I think Down Home with Ann Could be Video’s with a Twin Spin or Video Spin with Ann and the Twins Or Videos with a Ann and Twins + Pearls . Since some of your cards have been shared with the Twins…pearls on the bottom destressing etc. Or maybe Ann’s got Pearls Video or Pearly Lady Video’s
I already was said that I would like to see the double bow tutorial.
I can’t believe you made such big goals for yourself! You are one busy lady already. Even as busy as you are, your cards are always outstanding!
Unless it’s a Christmas card, I like the white pearls better.I can’t think of any better names than what the others have come up with. And my goal is….I need to have a blog lol. Thank you for the inspiration.
Ok ms Ann, I love the white pearls, but I can’t wait to se what the green ones look like, you never seem to surprise me, cause you always wow me ! No matter what you post,Now I like
Ann’s videos :0)
I see some of that sweet ribbon on there. I will be watching for the reveal and then let you know which I prefer.
I like your idea for setting some goals. We talk about that in Weight Watcher meetings and I have some goals in my head but have never written them down. Maybe that is why I never seem to reach my goals!
As for your video-I am not good at coming up with a name for anything! Some of the other commenters have had some good ideas, but actually I sort of like the Down Home with Ann cuz I am a down home kind of girl. But I also like the combination of Christy’s ideas–how about Ann’s Stampin’ Pearls?
Gosh, who wouldn’t want that stamp set.
As for pearl color……I like Both But thinking what your card may look like, I will go with the green.
As for name. Why not Inspirations by Ann or Ann’s Inspirations cause you do give us all Alot of Inspiration.
ColleenB.
Hi Ann:
I’m so excited about your plans!
Here goes – I prefer the white pearls (from what I can see…), as far as naming your video I’ll have to leave that to others – I have no talent in that area!!
But I do hope to win your stamp set because I have a friend who is so upset that she didn’t order it before it retired. I’d like to surprise her with it!!
Thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas!
Hmm, Ann – I need to see the whole thing before I can make an informed decision.. think I can get a sneak peek of the whole thing beforehand? LOL
As for naming your video segments – I think you definitely have to include pearls somewhere because after all, you are the Queen of Pearls! So here are my recommendations: Ann’s Stampin’ Pearls of Wisdom, Schach Stampin’ Pearls. And if you do a blooper reel, it could be the Perils of Stampin’ LOL
Hope all is well! I’m so behind in everything – it’s been a big past couple of days for me so I’ll send you a newsy e-mail sometime this weekend.
You have inspired me once again. I need to set blog goals! I really like yours. StampMom had some great suggestions for your new video name. I love how you tag all your stamp sets. I am going to start to do that. I like the traditional pearls also.
wow, so many things — 1) I prefer the classic pearls as opposed to the green pearls; 2) video clip ideas = The Love Schach, Schach Attack, Ann’s Art, The Art of Ann; 3) good luck with your blog goals, they all sound like great ones to work towards, even though I love your blog as is ๐
First, I like the white pearls better – so far : ) Second, Down Home with Ann could be The Amazing Ann : )
