Everything Eleanor is a new Stampin’ Up! set which will be available this June in the 2012 – 2013 Catalog. With its fabulous flourish and fantastic flowers, it is a vintage lover’s delight! However, there is no reason why clean and elegant designers will not be enamored with it, too! I took the vintage look to the max, with distressing, spritzing, lace, glitter…and of course…pearls! I hope you enjoy making Eleanor’s acquaintance…and I hope that you will join The Paper Players this week for an awesome sketch challenge created by the uber-talented Anne Marie Hile!
The finished size of this card is 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Flourishes and Flowers! By stamping my own background, I was able to highlight the gorgeous flourish and two of the three floral images found in the Everything Eleanor double set. Wisteria Wonder and Blushing Bride enhance the feminine look. A few Waterspots, courtesy of the French Foliage set, and a liberal dose of speckles courtesy of the Color Spritzer Tool, adds to the overall vintage effect.
- Cameo! The Oval Designer Frame provides the perfect foundation for building a cameo from the largest of the floral images. VersaMark, combined with Stampin’ Up!’s now retired Glassy Glaze, can be used to make faux cracked glass in a matter of minutes! Tip: Can’t wait for your glaze to harden? Throw it in the freezer for a few minutes like I do!
- Sparkle Plenty! Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter accents the fabulous Label from Everything Eleanor. Arghhh! I should have taken a picture of it before I applied the cameo. Trust me…you will see the entire label soon. I promise!
- With a snip-snip here…and a curl-curl there! Create a sentiment with vintage appeal by curling one end and flagging the other. Although there are many who use a square punch to create their pennant ends, I use paper snips. Although I may obsess about other parts of my card, I never worry if my points are off a smidge! As for making the curls, nothing beats the Round File from the Distressing Essentials Kit!
- Oops! Anne Marie’s sketch contained an element to the left of the central image. To stay true to her sketch, I added a Blushing Bride Pleated Ribbon Rose! However, I carefully removed it. I felt it detracted from the “cameo”. What do you think?
I hope you enjoyed meeting Eleanor! I know I did…and I really liked her. I believe I will be inviting her back to The Stampin’ Schach soon. As promised yesterday, one of you will be receiving this card in the mail. I hope you like it!
I have been busy preparing for a Birthday Card Stamp-a-Stack. Are you going to be ready to see some clean and simple, quick and easy birthday cards in a few days? In the meantime, won’t you please let me know what you think about today’s card in your comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one. Of course, if you have questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! I will apologize that I fell way behind in responding to your comments while I was at Leadership. I guess I really do need to take my laptop with me when I travel. Until next time…

Stunning, Ann! This set is so you! Love the tip about the glassy glaze and the freezer – I’ll have to remember that!
Just to add my 2cents about the rose – I like it better without it. Recycle it onto another card for us sometime!
Oooh, my first peek at this set, and you have highlighted it to perfection! Just gorgeous, Ann!
You certainly have taken your card to the Vintage max and I love it. your card is stunning Ann. I can see that a lot of time and work went into your making it. As for the ribbon and the flower, Ilove it but I also like the one without. Although the ribbon and flower on your card is my faveorite. 🙂 Thank you for posting the video of your son, he is amazing!!!

Ann… Hola from Mexico! Mui Buieno! Had to take a break from work since we’ve been at for 10 hours now.. whew.
Your card is GORGEOUS and love them both. with or without blossom. LOVE vintage style, the curls on tags (fav) an the coloring OMG! GORGEOUSNESS! Love your crackle tip (thanks) and think it’s just devine! I haven’t even ordered from Occasions and now I can’t wait for the next IBC.
Hugs
Your card is gorgeous! I love that new set too. Thanks for sharing all the tips. I just recently discovered the distressing essentials and those little tools are so versatile…like curling your banner!
So gorgeous! Oh my goodness, love the new stamp set! I like the rose…it’s so pretty! Love to visit your blog for inspiration! Thanks so much and congrats to Brady! Job well done!
It is always so exciting to see what the entire card looks like– always different than I imagine. Love how you put the glitter on for a vintage look. You have done an excellent job of sharing the joy of leadership with us! Here is my dilemma: I do like the card better without the rose, BUT if I were the lucky one to receive the card, I would like to see how you made the rose! I also have a question: when you called it a two part stamp set, what does that mean?
Now I am very anxious to see the great birthday cards you are working on! Thanks for everything.
This is so pretty Ann-love what you are showing of this new set. Your bg stamping is beautiful and I love the frame you created. I would have to agree that the ribbon rose did take away from the cameo you created
What an absolutely beautiful card, Ann! While your ribbon flower is perfectly lovely, I agree with you the card is nicer without it. I can hardly wait to see the rest of that new stamp set! Thank you for sharing.
This is my first comment to you. I’ve been a private attendee to your site for a couple of months. I love your site and your style! Once again you have created such a masterful creation! I faithfully visit your site since you made my Top 10 Designer’s List! 🙂 Sometimes I go off the reservation (so to speak) when I have time to venture off to visit others. By the way, if the flower was more vintage looking it would’ve been better.
Wowza! I would certainly say that you and Eleanor have become great friends after creating this beauty of a card. As always, your detailing is supurb and I’m very impressed by your free-hand banner cutting. Every time I try they come out SO uneven.
I kind of like the rose…although it may have something to do with it being pink, so I probably don’t know what i am talking about. Haha! But now you have a ready-to-go embellie for your next masterpiece. Everyone wins! Hope you had a great day today! Hugs! 🙂
I know you must be in your element with this set. Yes, I do believe the card is better without the rose, and I know you will find a good place for the flower soon. Great job!
Ann, this is everything I thought it would be! Really a wonderful card. I think this will be a great addition to My stamps too!!
What a beautiful card. I can’t wait to meet Elenor some more. I like it w/o the flower better.
Wow, first of all I can’t believe you stamped your own background. I thought is was new DSP! You have coloured it brilliantly! Love all of the extra techniques you have so added so well. Gorgeous card and although the ribbon flower is lovely, I too, think it detracts from the central flower image of your card! Well done, again!
How amazing and stunning! This stamp set will be on my first round of ordering from the new cattie!
Oh my goodness, my dear Great-Aunt Eleanor would so love this card! What a beautiful, vintage card! Love all the little details, the disressing and the cameo! I like it either way, with the ribbon rose or without. I see another floral stamp set in my future! Thanks for giving us a peek at what’s coming in the new catty!
“Eleanor” must be “proud”! The set must be named after an Eleanor?!? It is another beautiful card but it is just perfect without the rose.
Diane G.
Very elegant card. I love it!
I LOVE Eleanor! The floral background is amazing, I love it when you do this technique with the embossing folder. Looks like chintz! Awesome job Ann.
Hugs,
Lesley
Oh, I wondered who Eleanor was!!! LOL! Obviously she is one elegant lady if seeing your creation is any indication! Lovely! I do like it better without the flower…maybe if it was tattered, spritzed or vintage’ed up a bit it could make a reappearance!
Love it with and without the rose but I think maybe it does take away some from the cameo. You can add it to the carcaus or corpse card pieces and will probably have a complete card in no time. Loving the colors you used for the background. Can’t wait to see more examples.
Chris R. from Iowa
Ooh, very pretty! I love the colors. Thanks for sharing.
Yep! Eleanor is going to have to come to my house too! This is a stunning card! Gorgeous as always when Ann has her hands in it. I would love to see a Down Home video making this lovely rose…soon! 🙂
wow ann. i love what you do with the patterns and your impressions folders. and when i saw the flower i said yes yes yes! could you do a tutorial on it? it is absolutely gorgeous and adds EVERYTHING to the subdued colors. I love it. I thought “hey, where did this come from” haha. xox
Well Ann, the anticipation was well worth it. What a stunning vintage card. As always, I love all the elements you’ve added. Looking forward to the new catty – you’re such a tease!!
I’ve enjoyed being introduced to Eleanor and look forward to seeing more of her. The flower image looks very pretty inside the oval. Of course, your whole card is gorgeous. I agree, the ribbon rose distracted from the central image. Enjoy your Sunday, or perhaps a sundae!
I’m with Linda, I like the rose. Strong colors make it pop and the rose just fits in.
Absolutely beautiful, Ann! Everything about this card spells out timeless elegance. You are the master of the embellishments!!! Kathy in AZ
Hello Eleanor! And Miss Clean and Simple me likes the rose……..go figure!
JUST BEAUTIFUL, AS ALWAYS!
Pleased to make your acquaintenance, Eleanor! In the hands of the vintage master, Ann, you certainly make a beautiful card!
Ann, Eleanor is beautiful. You have so many elements in your card and I really like how you pulled them all together to make a smashing card. I am sure that this one will be on my list to “must haves”
Wowzers! This is beautiful! FABULOUS details everywhere. The flowers are beautiful.
I can’t wait to have Eleanor at my house too! It is very vintage and reminds me of a special person in my life.
The card is nicer without the rose.
Thank you for your continued inspiration.
Michele S.
Ms Ann there’s no word for this CARD!! And I mean it !
Thank you for sharing , I can’t wait for 2012 caty,
Hugs frenchie ,
Good Morning, Ann! The card is stunning, I thought the background was new DSP,too! Maybe you should go into paper designing!!! I agree with everyone about the rose, put it to use on another beautiful card. Another winner!
With or without the rose, it is WOW!!
With or without the rose, it is WOW!!
I’m in awe! This card is superb! You created an amazing background!
Just stunning, Ann! I can’t wait to get my hands on that new stamp set. And I just love the blossom you created with the pleated ribbon, wow!
Oh WOW!!! I agree that the ribbon flower looks out of place. As for everything else, I just love, love, LOVE IT!! Well done!
Beautiful card Ann. Although the ribbon rose is gorgeous, I too agree it detracts from the cameo. But you can always use it in another card! Thank you for sharing your talents. I need to get set for sure.
Absolutely breathtaking! I love all the texture in this card. I also have to agree that, although the ribbon rose is beautiful, it just doesn’t feel right on this card.
Hi Ann! Eleanor is beautiful! I love the big swirl and flowers. Of course, the new tag is interesting too and seems to be very big right now. Looks like a wonderful set. Love all your distressing and that great cameo in the middle. Very pretty!
Your card is just beautiful Ann! Another stamp set for me to buy from the new catalog!
Beautiful card. I thought the background was dsp at first before I read your post. This is going to be a very interesting stamp set. Isn’t it fun to have it before it is officially released?
You presented Eleanor to us beautifully! Wow, she is a real eye catcher…love her colors! Stunning card, Ann!
Ann, this card is out of this world gorgeous. WOW. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful! I, too, like it better without the rose. I love flower stamps and I know this will be one I will buy. Thanks for showing us this gorgeous card!
Ann, I’m drooling on my keyboard – that can’t be good can it? : ) Definitely dump the rose – it does detract from the cameo plus the colors are not muted enough to go with that card – pretty flower, but just not there : )
Your card is Soooooooo Gorgeous and must say, I like it best without the ribbon rose. Glad you removed it cause it distracts from the beauty of the rest of the card.
