Love is in the air at The Paper Players! For our first challenge of 2012, Lesley has selected a very fitting theme, All You Need is Love. You can create a card for a spouse, a romantic friend, a best friend, a co-worker, a family friend, a neighbor, a family member…or even a family pet! Love comes in all forms. We can’t wait to see what you create. And tell me…is that old Beatle song playing in your head yet? If not, just sing this, and you will be humming it all day: “All you need love…da da da da da da! All you need is love…da da da da da da! All you need is love, Love! Love is all you need!”
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Vintage and Feminine
This finished card measure 5-1/4″ square.
- Color me softly! If you wish to create a feminine flair with the colors you choose, Attic Boutique is the Designer Paper for you! A softly patterned Daffodil Delight heart highlights this card, along with a subtle script and floral patterned heart in Pool Party and Soft Suede. Add these to a beautiful Soft Suede ornate patterned paper, and you have the recipe for femininity!
- Double the bow and double the wow! A double Pool Party Seam Binding bow adds another feminine touch, especially when paired with Stampin’ Up!’s new Trinket Hearts!
- Sweet heart! Doesn’t your sweetheart deserve a sweet heart? Simply outline the heart with Basic Pearl strips and add a Basic Pearl center.
- A lovely sentiment! Flag one end and curl the other for a lovely touch to any sentiment…and don’t forget the Basic Pearls! As for me, I free hand the snip, and use the round file from the Distressing Essentials Kit to create my curls.
- Classy Cupid! Colored with Blush Blossom, our little Roman god of Love sports Dazzling Diamond wings and pearl ends on his bow!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card as much as I enjoyed creating it! Won’t you let me know what you think in today’s comment? And of course, if you ever have a question about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
(And help us wish Brady the Boy luck as he performs at 10:50 this morning in the MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) competition in Kalamazoo, MI. For those of you who love classical trumpet music, he is performing 30 minutes of selections from Hummel, Bach and Jolivet. Regardless of the outcome, we are very proud that he is representing the state of Illinois in the Brass section of the competition.)

Oh Wow! Your card is beautiful Ann. I love that you made a video to show us what you did. I love the way that you used the tool from the distressing kit to make the curled edge on the Love sentiment. The papers and colors are so beautiful. The way that you used all of the tiny pearls is awesome. Your ribbon is fantastic. Can you tell that I am loving your card? It truly is beautiful.

Glad to see my fellow pearl-lovin’ has used many gorgeous little baubles on her card! See, I just need to point out your blog when my 13 YO tells me I use too many! Ha! (I am not indicating that *you* use too many: on the contrary!)
Wow, wow, wow, this is romance on paper. It’s a piece of art that belongs in a frame. Too late to wish Brady good luck but I’m sure he represented well.
OK…you are about to cause me to break my “no more paper” New Year’s resolution! That dp is mouth wateringly gorgeous….And the pop of color from that blue bow is design genius. De-loverly!

Love the video about the card complete with the pearl CPR and trinklets! It is so fun to hear you explain about all the elements. That double bow is awesome! Love the vintage feel with those colors and all. So glad you mentioned the dazzling diamonds on cupid’s wings – I missed them in the first photo. Great job as always!

LOVE THOSE BUTTONS! OH MY STARS!!!!! They are so cute and add just the right touch to the heart! I am also VERY impressed with the pearl heart! Mine would be just a bit off kilter – but then I am too and . . . .
HEY – it’s my turn!
Don’t interrupt Miss Daisy . How did Brady do. I’m sure he did the state of Illinois proud!
Stamping of four feet (that would not be rubber stamping) – I wanna talk now. Hi Brody (sigh, swoon, sloppy kisses). Hey girlfriend – wanna get together for lunch? That’s it!
Thanks for blessing my day. 🙂
Another great video. The selection of designer paper is so well thought out along with all the wonderful embellishments. My favorite items are the little charms by the ribbon. Although I am reading this after the fact, I know your son will/did represent IL very proudly. Thank him for me. My baby is 33 today–not sure where all those years went. Guess I can no longer claim to be in my 40’s. Dar
Gorgeous–femine and vintage! Love the sparkly cupid, the seam binding bow and trinkets, and pearls! I am really enjoying your videos. Thanks again to Muffy and Brody for the tripod.
Best wishes to Brady on his performance today. Sounds like quite an honor and you should definitely be proud.
