Today’s card measures 6 Charlee Bear treats wide and 8 Charlee Bear treats long. (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″)
Brody: I have read Mom’s posts before, so I know how to do this.
- Mark your territory with VersaMark! Have your mom or dad ink your feet with VersaMark ink and step onto Naturals Ivory card stock. Then have your mom or dad heat emboss using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder! Keep your nose away from the Heat Tool because it gets really hot!
- Emboss Resist! Only alpha dogs can do this, because they are the bosses. Since Mom is the alpha in our house, she used a Stamping Sponge and applied Crumb Cake in a circular motion. Muffy ate a stamping sponge once. She is a bad dog.
- Distress! Put the card stock in your mouth and chew.
It helps to hold the paper securely in your front paws.
- No Boxer available to distress? Try the Seven Sided Tool from the Cutter Kit! It works well…and doesn’t have to be taken for walks! Brody distressed the bottom, while I used the Seven Sided Tool on the sides.
- Snazzy sentiment! Cherry Cobbler Snowflakes, paired with Whisper White ones, add a “pop” of color and draw the eye to the flagged sentiment from A Christmas Carol! These Snowflakes are a snap to make when using the Northern Frost Sizzlit Strip Die!
- Glitz and Glam! Basic Pearls, tinted with a red permanent marker, adorn the tree, while natural pearls accent the Large Scallop Circle and our sweetie pie’s jacket! And look at that new Large Basic Pearl from the Occasions Mini on the sentiment! (If you need an Occasions Mini, please email me! I will send one right out!)
Of course, one should always stop to admire their handiwork! While Muffy prefers a closer look…
Brody knows that his masterpiece need to be viewed from afar!
As always, your comments are important to me, so please let me know what you think of today’s Boxer distressed card. My goal was to have two perfect paw prints that were embossed resist. But you know what they say about the best laid plans!!! However, I love the look of the white embossing near the sentiment. It really is much prettier in person…just ask Brody! Of course, if you ever have any questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am an only an email away! Happy holidays, my friends! Until next time…

Ann I just read your last posts! I too put Brody in my prayers and will wait on pins and needles to hear the results for Wednesday! You are all in my thoughts and prayers!
Brody – I love that you helped your mom make a card. So creative. I wish you health and happiness.
Well, Brody did a nice job giving you a great background to finish off the card. I agree with Conny….we should see a Brody video. 🙂
Beautiful Miss Ann. Give Brody a treat from all of us okay? Thanks for showing me what to do with my red snowflakes. I cut them out and then hesitated to use them after a friend asked me if I was going Twilight on her. Hah…now I can tell her its vintage not blood style. Not sure if Wicket will let me Versamark her paws but I can give it a try. Sandy would have for sure without any help from me. Missing my helper kitty this Christmas.
Too much fun! Is Muffy jealous of Brody’s new found talent? Such a wonderful card you two created, though a fire hydrant might have made quite a statement! Of course we all know Muffy would have had a little diva crown someplace on the card too if she was making it.
Thanks for ending my night with a smile and a few giggles.
Merry Christmas to all and all a good night!
Chris R. from Iowa
P.S. I hope the twins sleep soundly when Santa comes so they don’t scare him off.
Cute Cute Cute!!! I love Brody’s work. Not quite as good as yours but…..
I love your card Brody! You have your moms talent. Thanks for sharing.
Go, Brody, go, Brody! Of course, he would have to be creative just like his mommy!
Have a very Merry Christmas!
I am loving your little “Twins” stories !! I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas,
Cindy Henry

Hugs,

Op Art! I think that is absolutely brilliant! It works so well. What Brody did is gorgeous on its own, and what you added is stunning too. What a team Ann! I love it by the tree, and the pic of Brody looking at it is wonderful. What a keeper pic. An artist at work! It would be cute to make a wee little album of Brody’s art work!!! xox for tonight Ann, and tomorrow. Try not to fret. All will be as G-d designed.
Waouuhhh what a beautiful work Brody and you did.He is a very talented and helpful boy.
Merry Christmas to all of you from Paris.

Merry Christmas to you and yours…
What a funny post! I’m glad Brody is feeling up to some stamping. He sure was a big help to his mama. Between the two of you, you created a very lovely card. I’ll have to share this post with my two dogs and see what we can come up with. Merry Christmas to the whole Schach family.
Too funny! Merry Christmas to you and yours! debra
Love the card Brody. I think you have a four-legged artist in your midst. Wonder what thoughts are going through Brody and Muffy’s minds looking at the card being displayed, could it be, hmmmmmmmmm, is Mom looking, haha. I don’t have a dog but my kitty loves to lay all over my cards when trying to work, I’ll have a talk with her. Wising you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I will say a prayer for you and Brody at Church tonight.
Precious! And so entertaining. A light-hearted approach to stamping. Just what we needed.
Oh that Brody has inherited his mother’s talent for card making! Such entertainment to start my day! Love it!
Very cute!! Wishing you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!
Forget being a show dog, I think Brody has found his true calling in life! I see a very bright future for this smart puppy. I love the zing that the cherry cobbler snow flakes add. They are a refreshing change from white. Have a wonderful Christmas!
I love Brody’s card. Fabulous job but then Brody had a fabulous teacher! Loved reading the post this morning. You really need to write a book!
Have a very Merry Christmas!
Brody, your card is absolutely gorgeous! You are as talented as your mom! I know you enjoyed stamping with her and I hope you will show us more of your creations! Wishing all of the Schach Family a very Merry Christmas and big hugs to Brody and Muffy! All my critters send love and licks too!

Ann, This is post is absolutely adorable. The card turned out so pretty. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Cute, cute, cute….
Ann, this was the most fun post I’ve ever read! Brody should be very proud of himself. The card turned out so beautiful. I think maybe that’s my problem when it comes to making vintage cards… I need a dog! 🙂 I could even write it off as a business expense! Brilliant!
Merry Christmas, Ann!
Oh, this post made me smile! YOu have such a gift for writing, Ann, and being patient with little crafters, too! Merry Christmas, my sweet friend. 🙂
So enjoyed ready this, and Brody; you done a wonderful job on your card. It’s very pretty.
Oh, Brody, one more thing. Don’t forget to put your paw print(signiture) on backside of your card and the year you made it. :}
Wishing you All (yes, that includes you also Muffy and Brody) a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Blessed New Year.
ColleenB.
You had waaayyyyy too much fun with this post! thanks for the smiles, and Merry Christmas!!
Thanks for the laughs with my morning coffee! Merry Christmas to you and your family ( and the twins!)
Merry Christmas, Ann! This card is the perfect display of the heart of Christmas…spending time with those you love and cherish! Between you and Brody, you have come up with a beautiful card and it is perfect just the way it is! I do not have a boxer to distress but I do have a toy australian shepherd, Sophie, who loves to sit in my stampin’ room with me and observe. We have not had any pearls on her butt although there are days when she walks away pretty sparkly with glitter! Hope your Christmas if filled with sparkling Love!
Hugs,
RaeDeen
Brody your card is beautiful. Your Mom is a great teacher. Wish I was close enough to take one of her classes!!!
Merry Christmas to you all!!!
Absolutely brilliant, Ann! I have read this to my husband, as I have laughed hysterically (mostly about the bit where Muffy ate the stamping sponge!) Brody can come and make my cards any time he likes! Have a great Christmas. xx
