Welcome to Day 3 of 2011: The Year in Review! Today we are looking back at the warmer months of July, August and September. To see the original posts with details, just click on the month and name of the post. Enjoy today’s little excursion through the past!
July – Caroling with The Paper Players
I love the movie “A Christmas Carol” in all its versions, and the stamp set, “A Christmas Carol” evokes memories of that movie for me! The richness of the Mocha Morning paper offsets the simplicity of the embossed image. Add a beautiful bow and my favorite pearls, and I have card I could stare at for days! I hope the person who received this card for Christmas feels the same way.
August – School Daze for The Paper Players
I can make clean and cute cards! I love the bright colors and this adorable Greeting Card Kids image. For the water coloring on this card, I used inks and blender pens.
September – Field Flowers for The Paper Players
Mmmm…Rich Razzleberry paired with Old Olive looks so yummy. Plus I love this layout. Once again, a beautiful bow and pearls place this card right at the top of my choices for September.
I hope you enjoyed our look at the “summer” months! Although there were no fancy techniques, there were indeed a couple of pretty bows!
Yesterday I asked which of the “spring cards” was your favorite, and so far the race is too close to call! So how about a little more fun, and a chance for another person to win fifty sheets of 6″ x 6″ retired Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper? In your comment today, just let me know which of today’s three cards is YOUR favorite! I will randomly select a winner from all comments left on this post by Noon CST Sunday. I will make certain to post the names of the two winners in Monday’s post. Until next time…
HI,
The Field Flowers card is by far my most favorite one.It has gorgeous a color combo and oozes with elegance.
I have to say the September Field Flowers. It’s beautiful and the colors are so rich and the design is awesome. Love all three but this is my favorite. TFS
I usually have a hard time picking a favortie, but without a doubt for me it is August. So bright and cheerful. Love it!
Ann again these are all beauties, but the school kids are adorable!
Love that!
hugs.
I love the Carolers Card with the warm tones! I would love to make a card like this.
My favorite is September – Field Flowers for The Paper Players. The color combo and the way the one flower is cut out is very visually interesting. TFS!
Ann, I have to say Sept. is my favorite especially since I cased it also! Love that card and the colors. Hope this new year holds many blessings for you and your family.
They are all very nice, but since I have to choose only one… I am partial to flowers, so my fav is the last one, Field Flowers. I especially like purple and green together. So that is my choice.
Not much time to chat (you know why), but my favorite is Field Flowers!! I love that set, and your card is BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Oooooh! I LOVE that School Days card and my just have to CASE it for September 2012 when the kids go back to school…or may sooner when they go back on January 9th.
Thanks for a WONDERFUL year my friend! Wishing you and yours a FANTASTIC 2012!
Ann, all of your cards are my favorite. You have inspired me with your cards and you’ve enabled me as well! I just ordered Greeting Card Kids the other day because of your cards featuring it. So I guess out of these three – my favorite would have to be August. 🙂 No need to enter me in the drawing though. 🙂
Wishing you a very Happy New Year, my friend!
It’s hard not to like all 3 of them, but my favorite is September’s card with Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive! Such yummy colors together and I love the flowers and ribbon.
Happy New Year to you and your family, Ann.
September’s card is my favorite… love rich razzleberry and old olive together!!! Thanks for sharing again!!
The vintage look of Christmas Wishes is so classy. I guess I like the traditional look.

I love all 3. It was especially hard to choose between August (I have grandchildren so I am naturally drawn to little kids and September (color combo is awesome). OK, OK, if I have to decide, it’s got to be August. Love those little greeting card kids!
You always ask such tough questions, Ann! I’ve seen so many adorable uses for the Greeting Card Kids, and yours is no exception. However, my favorite is your September Field Flowers with their elegance. Love the color combo, and they truly look like flowers adhered to your card. The DSP adds so much to the background also. Happy New Year, Ann!
Greeting kids with all the wonderful embellishments has to be my favorite. D
I love all three cards but the field flowers rich colors just beats out the greeting cards kids. The flower popping off the page and the pretty bow make it extra special. Thank you for sharing your awesome talents of color and layout with all of us, I’m always inspired by what you’re able to do with a stamp set……and a few pearls!! (wink wink)
Happy New Year Ann!
I really adore the School Daze card! I think all of the cards from this post are beautiful in their own way. I love seeing your choices for favorite of each month! Fun!!
All three of the cards are graet. My favorite is Field Flowers with rich razzleberry and old olive. I love this combination and the DSP makes everything standout. I don’t own Field Flowers but have to have, as I’ve seen so many beautiful cards using the set. Happy New Years to you and your family!
Definitely my fave is Field of Flowers. Love how you clustered three together, with one gracefully extending beyond the others.
July caroling card is my favorite. Just like it stepped out of the classic Christmas Carol movie. You had me at the bow and the little pearls!
While the “kids” are cute and I love the coloring, there was just something about it I still can’t put my finger on as to why it isn’t a favorite.
The rich razzleberry card just had a bit too much razzle dazzle to it for me.
So, there is my honest opinion my friend! I was pretty sure you would go with those two cards. I need to go back and see what I said about them! It still amazes me with all the different cards you can come up with!
Chris R. from Iowa
Rich Razzleberry with Old Olive…yummy! I will have to try that combo!
Ann, you are so bad! How can you ask us to choose between these cards! There is no choice because they are all so beautiful in their own right! Each one is so very different than the other yet, your attention to detail, color combination and texture choices are impeccable! They are all stunning!
Oh, and you think CAS is tough for you? You make it look so simple!
The three cards are definitely favorites. Field flowers is “on top”, however. My “adopted” grandaughter is giving me the Greeting card kids set for my birthday…they are SOOO cute…can’t wait until the set arrives.I love what you did with them too…a close second. I’ve wanted the set for a long time.
“Happy New Year” to you and your family. Look forward to seeing your 2012 creations!!!
Diane G.
Of course all three cards are amazing, but I absolutely love the Field Flowers card. It is so eye catching and could be set out as a decoration any time of the year !!

I think the Field of Flowers could be my favorite, although it sure is hard to pick just one!

Hmmm….I am a purple gal so I have to go with September and the Rich Razzleberry! Oh La La and that Field Flowers set I have been wanting. Great Job. Happy 2012!
3 more beauties Ann – I really like the greeting kids card-make me think of my precious granddaughter – but running a close second is your Field flowers card- love the image and your color combo
“September – Field Flowers for The Paper Players” is awesome. I like the other two, but the color combination and the little touches you added made it so special.

I have to chose Field Flowers, but the School Daze is so cute. You are a great designer. Thanks

I love all three but my favorite is the Christmas Caroling one. Your attention to detail is amazing as well as your color combos. Happy New Year, Ann!!! Kathy in AZ
Hi Ann! July’s card is a classic in design and color and August has stunning coloring (perfection) but my favorite is September’s Field Flowers. The design, texture with dsp, and that gorgeous color combo just sparkle for me. I will agree with you that all of them have stunning bows too. I love seeing all your favorites Ann. Such a treat to see not one but three cards each day!! Happy New Year to you and your family!
All three are fabulous, but the field flowers are definetly my fav.
oh boy!!! I REALLY can’t decide ~ do I really have to choose, I love the carols (the colors you choose are outstanding for this set) and of course those little greeting cards kids are adorable (color choice PERFECT) and field of flowers (haven’t even inked mine yet ~ yikes!!!) I love the colors here as well Rich Razzl…with any green is amazing don’t you think! Thanks Ann and have a happy New Year!

I love the august card with the 2 school kids – plus august is my birthday month!
It was tough to pick they were all great cards. I have to say the September field flowers was my favorite. Maybe it was just because of the color. I love Rich Razzleberry. Happy Stamping 2012
the august card is my favorite.
Boy, you sure know how to make things tuff. Hard decision cause I like them all but I guess I would have to say..September – Field Flowers. Love the lay out and that raspberry color.

Love them all! My favorite is the September card featuring Field Flowers. I love any shade of purple so that got me right there, but there are so many other things to love about this card too!

Another tough choice..but I have to say the Rich Razzleberry card, paired with grren, that is one of my go to color combos! Thanks, Anne!
Yikes that’s a toughie Miss Ann. It’s neck and neck between the gorgeous and lush Field Flowers card and the fun, clean and very smile making Greeting Card Kids CAS card….well…CAS for you my dear! Tonight I’m feeling lush though so I’ll go with Field Flowers…oh wait…you might read something in to that what with it being New Years and all…and really I’m not a lush kind of gal…okay…make it the clean and sober and fun Greeting Card Kids. Hee, hee. That really is the one that pops from the three. Maybe its the clothes pin..that “catches” me!
Hugs and Happy New Year my friend! And thanks for adding to the party atmosphere with lovely blog candy.
Oh September’s Field Flowers is awesome, so rich looking..has to be my fave but am impressed with the clean August card too…
