The Stampin’ Schach Stampin’ Tips:
- Looking for quick and easy? Let a stunning designer paper pattern take center stage! My favorite “DSP Du Joir” is Paisley Petals from the upcoming 2011 – 2012 Idea Book and Catalog.
- Revved up ribbon! It’s a snap to achieve the “scrunchy” look simply by pulling a thread and shirring along the length! I selected Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding for a coordinated look.
- Luscious labels! The “Flourish” stamp from Strength and Hope was inked in Not Quite Navy and stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. It was the punched out with the Decorative Label Punch and speckled using the Color Spritzer Tool and a Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker. It was then layered onto a Cherry Cobbler Decorative Label.
- Simple sentiments! The Friend sentiment from You’re a Gem was inked in Cherry Cobbler and punched out with the 1-3/8″ x 5/8″ Oval. After a little sponging and spritzing, it was popped up on the Decorative Label with a Stampin’ Dimensional. A Strength and Hope Butterfly directs our attention right to it!
- Everything’s better with bling! Basic Pearls adorn the Scallop Edge Border and the Butterfly’s body!

Amazing card!!! The colors are subtle yet stand out at the same time. Really beautiful.
It’s a crazy month, so I’m popping in as I can and catching up. 🙂
Wow! I love everything you’ve got going on here! The scrunchy ribbon, the pearls, the butterfly, oh my! And I’m kicking myself that I didn’t get that fabulous paper!!
I love everything about this card. The paper is awesome as well as all of the colors. Your ribbon treatment on this is so beautiful! Best, C urt
Hallo Ann,
love your card, especially the new dp from the upcomming idea book.
Have a nice day
hugs and smiles Conny
GOR-geous! Love that butterfly from the new set, and the way you’ve scrunched up your ribbon. Very scrumptious!
Ann, you never cease to inspire me. This card is so lush and beautiful, it’s hard to call it CAS! Yet, the design is, of course, and that’s a key to one of your many gifts – to add just the right amount of texture and color that it becomes complex to the eye despite the single layer. Absolutely lovely!!
This is gorgeous Ann! That paper is perfect for a C&S layout! Love the butterfly and ribbon accent! {SMILES}
Leslie said … Everything about this card is full of the WOW factor and easy to achieve. I love how you let the upcoming paper do the “talking” for you. Everything else is completely complimentary and perfectly coordinated.
This is beautiful. I love how you used the paper. I am having a hard time using that DSP. Maybe a little wild for me. LOL

Love your card Ann, as usual

Another beautiful card. I love this DSP and I love how you used it to make such a great card.
this is so beautiful ann-love the new dsp and your incredible butterfly-it works so well on this card
Gorgeous! All the elements work together so well. I just love this stamp set!
And I have to say….simple Schach-a-licious!! Love the use of the DSP and I really love the flourish stamped on the label–perfect!
Ann, I think you know what I’m going to say…get ready for it…this is simply “Schach-tastic”!! Love how you put such an elegant spin on CAS. As always, your details are amazing. I especially love that spritzing! So beautiful! 🙂
Ann your card is stunning. Love the cobbler scrunchy ribbon and the butterfly is gorgeous… especially with those pretty pearls. hugs
Ooooooh, this is gorgeous! that paper is fabulous, and I love, love, LOVE the scrunched ribbon! Great sketch too.
Just wondered what color of ink did you use to stamp the butterfly onto what color paper.
Your card is just gorgeous! I love it!
Stunning Ann. I love the colours you used, certainly makes the butterfly front and center of your card (not literally, just figuratively) Your card is clean and simple and anything but boring.
From the sneak peak, I knew this would be another favourite and I was right. The DSP is a fantastic base, but the delight is in all the details–the 3 graduated size pearls on the two-tone butterfly, the scroll design behind ‘Friend’, the extra thin strip of designer paper by the scallop. The sum is definitely more than all the parts. Thanks for yet more inspiration.
The card is gorgeous!
Love how you have taken the gorgeous DSP and stepped it up a notch with spritzing, Ann. Love all the layers, scrunches and bling. So bright and cheerful for these stormy spring days! Did the Twins have shows this week-end? Love the picture of Muffy Lynn watching the kiddies on their way to school, such intense interest! TFS and have a wonderful day.
Beautiful as always. The colors are so rich together. I love the way “Friend” just seems to jump of the card, love the layering on this one.
hugs

Beautiful card. This dsp is perfect for large areas on a card. And so many colors to work with.
Love your CAS … could also stand for classy and stylish! Great looking butterfly too!
Love all the rich details and colors! Love the pearls on the butterfly and the scalloped edge. Quick questions, since my DP has not arrived yet – I couldn’t tell what you have between the scalloped piece and the scrunched ribbon or maybe the ribbon is on it. Is it another piece of the DP? Sort of has a lattice look to it maybe? Just curious. Maybe I overlooked that detail in your recipe. Anyway, I love the total card. I think I will get a lot of mileage out of that new 4 label set. Loved how you used the Friend over it though that is another set I have been on the fence about!

Love the card and colors. When you scrunch up the ribbon and use pearls, do you do anything to cover when sending to someone. Thank You.
The vintage look gives such a soft and warm feeling =D beautiful!
Beautifully rich – simply stunning!

Love, love, love your card. You are so good with the all the little details. Pearls, a little spritz of color, punched border…all those details are totally YOU!
I love that look for the ribbon. I can get the ribbon to look like that, but getting it on my card without it unraveling is a whole other story! Any tips?
This is so beautiful, love the colors and the great design
Only you could create such a beautiful CAS card! The ribbon and pearls add even more elegance to the striking DSP. Love the butterfly, layered sentiment, & speckling!
