As always, Wednesday brings with it a peek at my latest Pals Paper Arts inspiration card. As you can see, there is texture, cross-stitching, Iridescent Ice, and what appears to be speckling from the Color Spritzer Tool. Hmm? Pearls? None are showing in the peek. But what do you think? Pearls or no pearls? Just leave your answer in your comment, and you could be the winner of a “Bite of Blog Candy”. I am continuing the purging of my retired supplies, and this week I am offering 15 yards of Red Gingham Ribbon, Red Microbeads, and Red Glass Mix Beads! I will announce the randomly selected winner on Friday from all comments left today and Thursday. The Twins Update
The Twins are still recuperating from their show this past weekend. If you have followed the Twins, you know that Brody was a “bad boy” at the show a few weeks ago. However, here’s Brody to tell you about this past weekend.
Brody: I’m excited that Mom is letting me talk this week. We got sick Sunday when we got home from the show and Muffy is still sick ’cause she didn’t get the shot and I got the shot and so I am better and we are getting medicine that Mom wraps up in treats and the vet said we couldn’t take our baths and then at the show I was a good boy and the judds gave me blue ribbons and I didn’t try to play with any one when I was in the ring even my friend with the floppy ears and Muffy…
Me: Brody! Slow down! That is one really long run-on sentence!
Brody: Mom…you are being silly. I’m not running. I am sitting. It’s a “sit-on sentence”.
Me: Brody, you are being such a good boy and sitting. But let’s back up a minute and talk about the show results. Now, take a deep breath, and start at the beginning.
Brody: I was a good boy because I didn’t want Mom to send me to the bad-puppy place. So I didn’t play with any one in the ring. The woman-judd and the man-judd gave me blue ribbons both days.
Me: And Mom, Dad, and all of our Boxer friends were very proud of you, Brody. Now how about your sister, Muffy? Tell everyone how well Muffy did.
Brody: Muffy had a lot of girl puppies in her class. The woman-judd gave her the blue ribbon on Saturday. But the man-judd gave her the red ribbon on Sunday. I don’t think he could see very well ’cause I think Muffy was prettier. I heard some people say it was “polly ticks”. I sure hope it wasn’t. I don’t like ticks.
Me: I don’t either, Brody. But Muffy did a very good job. People are starting to notice her.
Brody: What about me, Mom? Don’t people notice me?
Mom: Yes they do, Brody. But girl Boxers mature faster than little boy Boxers. You just wait. You will be getting muscles, too!
Brody: And Mom, don’t I still have the cuter nose?
Me: Yep, Brody. You will always have the cuter nose.
Brody: Mom, can I also talk about the Neighbor?
Me: If you wish, Brody. Go ahead…you can tell.
Brody: I have a Neighbor. She is very, very sick. She doesn’t come outside anymore like when I was a baby, so she watches me from her window. Mom makes certain that we walk past her window and I do my dog show poses for her. She got to come outside to see me again a few days ago. She had a special mover called a “walker”. She wanted to pet me, so I stood really still and did not jump on her. I was a good boy. Mom said when I get older I can be a “there-I-pee” dog.
Me: I was very, very proud of you Brody. You were such a good boy, and some day I know you will be a Therapy Dog. It is one of my goals for you. Brody, do you care if Mom just finishes up. This is getting to be a really long post, and Mom’s friends have other blogs to visit and cards to make.
Brody: Sure, Mom. I’ll let you finish. I am just going to go over and steal Muffy’s chew.
As for their “sickness”, both puppies were diagnosed with “sinusitis” and possible allergies Monday. They were coughing and sneezing, with watery eyes and runny noses. They were shown in a very dusty dirt ring. That’s all I need…two puppies allergic to dirt!
Since so many of you have asked in your emails to me, Brady the Boy had a wonderful recital Saturday evening! He was amazing. For those of you familiar with classical music, he played Concertpiece No. 1, Opus 11 by Brandt, all three movements of Kennan’s Sonata for Trumpet and Piano, and Vivaldi’s Concerto in C Major for Two Trumpets. I am supposed to receive a recording of his performance. If I can share a couple of excerpts with you, I certainly will. As for the Sense of Time card, he loved it. He sent it home with me to put in his room. I will be framing it for him.
And finally…don’t forget to visit the Stampin’ Up! Clearance Rack! The Grab Bags are fabulous! And remember, a $20 order qualifies you to purchase the Four Frames stamp set and Paisley Patterns Designer Series Paper. If you live in southeastern Iowa, western Illinois, or northeastern Missouri, contact me today to set up your workshop! A workshop of $350 earns you the Four Frames set and Paisley Prints for FREE!
So, getting back to the sneak peek…what do you think? Pearls or no pearls? Let me know in your comment today. And join me tomorrow for the full reveal. Until next time…

Wow – I’m way overdue in catching up on my posts. I’m sorry. ๐ Big congrats to Brady for his awesome performance.
And to Brody for his wonderful weekend and recognition by the “judds.” Hope the twins are feeling better and the allergies are part of “growing pains.”
HAHa..too cute! Congrats on their fantastic wins! ๐

I love your doggie adventures!
And of course, “Yes” to pearls….
Alicia Graham
Ann.. Pearls??? seriously??? there is NO way I would say NO… and I have a feeling you WILL use them.
BUT…… this doggy post was adorable!just what I needed to cheer me… two more funerals… can’t believe that will be 9 since January! OMG.. when will it end? Your “play on words” is hilarious. You just make me smile. Hugs.
Congratulation to your son and the twins. As for the pearls, I would say: YES!!! I can’t wait to see your card and reveal the mystery :-))
Thoroughly enjoy reading your blog posts with updates on your talented son and boxers. Didn’t catch the there-i-pee interpretation initially but had to chuckle later. Yes, I would say pearls are peeking out in this gorgeous card.
I’m rooting for the pearls, Ann!
Thanks for sharing about the twins and Brady. Sounds like you have had a very full weekend!
Oh Ann love your blog! Made me cry today, my son was a classical guitar player and I know how proud you must be … sadly he decided to ‘leave’ us in 2002 and I miss him so much – that card (which I ‘cased’) would have been going straight to my Paul. It was one of my faves since I’ve been visiting your blog. Thanks.
And – pearls? Oh I say YES YES YES surely there has to be pearls!!!
Huge hugs from Australia xxx
Some pearls I bet or at least one. Your dialogue with the twins is hilarious.
Peals? Abolutely, I feel certain that you used pearls!
Hmmm… not sure about the pearls since we can’t really see the style of the card. But, I say “yes” for my guess! Thanks for a chance to win your blog candy!
Beautiful doggies! As for pearls–absolutely!
Pearls? of course…why wouldn’t you add pearls. Love the dog stories
I love when Brody gets to talk. What a good boy he was. (((hugs))) Hope both pups are feeling better now.
Your sons performance must have been magnificent. Kudos to Brady!!
Well, about the pearls. I think yes, there are some on the card. The colors would go beautifully with pearls, in my opinion. Thanks again for a chance to win some goodies.

Well…I know that Marilyn Monroe said diamonds are a girl’s best friend….but I think Ann Schach would vote for pearls. So, I’m guessing there’s at least one pearl tucked away somewhere on this very intriguing card.
And, congrats on your son’s stellar performance. Would love to hear an excerpt. Our youngest son played trumpet….and I miss hearing him now that he’s away at college.
As to “the twins” I hope your are scrapbooking these dialogues and photos of their shows. It’s very entertaining!
are you asking if it should have pears or if there are pearls? I guess I think the answer for either is Yes.
Pearls!!!!! I got a kick out of reading the pups “diary”. I applaud you for having the energy for doing it all. Congratulations to Brady too.
I love all the comments! There has to be at least one pearl on there since it is a Schach card! Just thought about it, you could have used Brody’s pearl on your sister’s recycled materials card since it was stuck on Brody forst! Anyway, I know about dogs and allergies. We gave our dog allergy shots – he was allergic to just about everything. Hope to hear a bit of Brady’s music. Brody is a good story teller too! I can’t imagine what this sneek peek is about! Until tomorrow….
Chris R. from Iowa
Great job and congratulations on the blue ribbons, Brody!; I knew you would step right up to the challenge; nothing like a little sibling rivalry to move things along! Sorry you and Muffy Lynn are having sinus issues (no pun intended!); I can sympathize with you. I think Tionya’s idea of “bless Brody’s neighbor lady” day to send your friend cards is a great idea. Hello, Ann, glad the week-end went well. I would really enjoy hearing whatever you are able to share of Brady’s recital. I think I will have to say Pearls! TFS all the news and the peak!
Oh, Ann, this is too funny. I particularly like the “there-I-pee” line!!! Your pups would cheer up ANYONE!!! TFS!
Not too sure about the card…it’s pretty mysterious-looking! But I would venture a “yes” to a pearl somewhere in there!
I’m so happy to hear all your news on pups, and sons. I know you are so proud of your son; I love classical music. I will vote in favor of pearls. Whatever, I’m sure it is a beautiful card.
Hmmm…. I don’t know if there are pearls on this, the colors look like pearls would coordinate well with it. So, I guess my answer would be I HOPE there are pearls on this card ๐
Congrats to the twins! Tell Brody good job for not playing with the others.
There has to be pearls! What is a card without bling?
I think you might have tried to NOT put pearls on it, but I bet you gave in. :o) I’m voting for pearls. Plus they are awesome, so why not use them? I have a fresh pack of them to break open tomorrow!
I love hearing updates about the twins! Always brings a smile to my face. I say, always go with pearls ๐
you have got to write a book….your conversations with the dogs are hysterical…
Brody, I am so proud of you. Congratulations on your excellent performance in the ring. You know, I don’t much care for polly-ticks either and I think you are destined to be a there-i-pee Boxer. I hope you get to visit more often with your nice neighbor. Please say hello to Muffy for me.
Congrats also to Brady for a wonderful concert performance. I would enjoy hearing some excerpts from the concert.
Ann, love the peek of your cross stitching and glitter. To pearl or not to pearl, I’d say you pearled!
Brady’s recital sounds wonderful! I hope the twins get better and I’m glad the twins got blue ribbons!!!!
nbcfm I’m going with Pearls!!! Hugs,
I think Brody will make an excellent “there-I-pee” dog! Hope their allergies clear up soon. Can a card be better without pearls on it? I think not. My vote Is for PEARLS all the way! Can’t wait to see your card ๐
I would say yes to the pearls. It adds a feminine touch to the card. Can’t wait to see the card.
I’m gonna say no pearls this time.
Your son is amazing! Very difficult pieces. Hope you can share excerpts with us! As for the twins – Miss Daisy is on an allergy pill for the rest of her life! She has the inside out sneezing kind of allergy which sounds like she’s dying. Those Pill Poppers are a blessing for us. Congratulations to Brady! Good job! Thanks for blessing my day with a peek into your family. ๐
Absolutely love the recap about the twins this past weekend. So glad Brody was well behaved for you neighbour. What a caring thing to do!
Your little sections of cards drive me crazy wondering what the whole card is going to end up like! Must you do this challenge!! LOL
I am going out on a limb and saying no pearls….now watch, you will have
one entire side of your card covered in pearls! ๐ Have a great day!
Hi Ann – pearls of course!
Karen
Pearls, definitely. Your dog stories are fun!
Please pass along my congrats to Brody and Muffy. Tell Brody he did a great job of telling his story. I certainly got a few chuckles out of it. As for the pearls, my vote is none this time (duh, what am I saying?) I’m sure you’re as proud of Brady the boy as you are of the twins. What a talented crew of children you have!!!
Hi Ann,
It looks like you have som sparkle on card, so I think NO to pearls.
{Pearls or no pearls? That is the question. I think pearls are your trademark, so I am going to say at least there will be one.
I loved all the Brody stories, but the very best was the one about your neighbour. What a day brightener for her. Pearls? Could it be an Ann card without pearls? I don’t think so.
Cute stories about MOM and her TWINS. As far as the card I would have to say PEARLS all the way !

I love reading your blog, I feel like I know you since I’m also from Iowa,(Iowa City). I always like pearls, so I say add the pearls.
Pearls! lol. Love the update on the twins. “There I Pee” is a great thing to be, lol. Sounds like they did well and I hope they both feel better soon. Allergies? Never heard of puppy allergies either.
hi puppies and Ann–glad my pup isn’t the only one who talks!! Sounds like you all had a nice weekend.
As to pearl–I say yes!!!
Jeanie
Ann, congrats to the twins! I love the idea of Brody being a healing dog. I think he would love htat. Congrats to Brady, too. That must have been quite a performance. You must have been so proud.
Pearls? SURE!
hugs
jaydee
Hi Ann,
I say there are DEFINITELY pearls on that card, ’cause it’s Ann S we’re talking about here! Hee hee. Can’t wait to see it.
What great news about Brody and Brady! I love reading Brody’s stories and I know you are so very proud of him. I know he will make a wonderful therapy dog, he’s such a sweetie! I’m sorry they both came down with sinusitis, I hope they are feeling better by now! I’d also love to hear some of Brady’s performance, it must have been awesome!
As for as the pearls, I have to say YES!
Sounds like all 3 of your kids are doing wonderful ๐ And I am sure your neighbor loves seeing the twins. Pups are always good there-i-pee lolol
Hi Ann! What a lovely story about your dogs, your neighbor and her “personal” dog show, and your son. I’m glad to hear that his card will get framed. It was one of the most beautiful cards I’ve seen. A true work of art. Pearls? Knowing your style, I think you’ll sneek one or two in there. So, yes to pearls.
Congrats to the twins – I luv hearing them tell their side of the story! Hope they’re feeling better too… They are growing up so fast.
Pearls – but of course!
Thanks for sharing all of your awesome news.
I love the “there I pee” dog that you have! How sweet you take him out to the neighbor lady! You should let us all make her cards and brighten her day!! I’m sure she’d love it! It could be a “bless Brody’s neighbor lady” day!
As for the pearls…I don’t think you could make a card without them………can you??!!
Have a blessed day!
Great commentary from the “twins” sounds like they’re taking their places in the “dog show world”. I bet your son’s recital was indeed wonderful and such difficult selections, wow!
As for the question…pearls or no pearls…I’m going to say “no” pearls although I’m thinking that would be very difficult for you.
this looks very interesting…..i would have to say – pearls. ๐
Hi Ann, You must be one proud mama!! I’ll say yes to the pearls…awaiting teh finished product!
Valari
I love your boxer stories… I think that is a wonderful idea that Brody may become a therapy dog someday… I hope they are both feeling better soon…
Your card looks beautiful so far.. and I am sure there is at least one pearl in there somewhere..lol
hugs
Darlene-Joy
I think pearls too! Loved reading about the twins. I get my boxer fix through you! Congratulations to Brady on his recital. Framing his card is a great idea.
Love the puppies and so sorry about the allergies! Poor furry babies! Hope they get better soon. Congrats to Brady too- he’s very talented! Best wishes to all.
I say YES to the Pearls. The card looks amazing and I can’t wait for the reveal!
Leslie said … I am so proud of Brady the Boy and Brody the Boxer! And of course, little Miss Muffy too. Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but pearls are a girl’s affordable best friend! I give a “yes” vote to both! This week’s sneak peak has me on the edge of my seat. Come on Thursday!
Re: Pearls. I think they’d be a great accent considering there are dots on your card. My card group has a motto: “More is more,” so yes to the pearls!
Congrats to both of your pups! Sounds like they are doing well in the ring.
As for your peek….very interesting. I’m guessing you do have a pearl or two on there somewhere. Thanks.
It’s fun to hear about the twins. . .”ours” are 6 year old grandsons and I love telling stories abouto them, too. LOL PEARLS ๐
Thanks for sharing your creativity on the blog. I just recently tried that cross stitching on a card and I love it!
I am going to say “yes” to the pearl question.
I am ao happy for Brady, and hope you can share some of his recital.
As for the Twins congrats and get better soon. We have a Bully and she has allergies too. Maybe it has something to do with them have those short noses. Poor babies!
Ann what a cute story and so glad Brody one…omgosh cannot believe dogs get allergies too!
Well onto the card. I don’t think pearls it probably will be too much since you have alot going on anyway….well what do I know. You are the creator!!!
Loved Brody’s commentary! Definitely pearls!
Enjoy reading about the twins.
I would have to say yes on the pearls.
ColleenB.
Hi Ann, I love hearing all the news from the twins. Too bad, they seem to be allergic. Perhaps they outgrow it.
I would have loved to hear your son in concert! I especially love the Vivaldi. It is such a special feeling listening to your kids playing! I would really love to listen to a recording – I told my youngest of your son also playing the trumpet and she is quite interested ๐
Greetings from the grey and cloudy Germany ๐
Sabine
Oh Ann, so many happy things happening for your familly! Your son’s recital must have been magnificent! And the puppies are certainly maturing – good for Brody!
And, yes, I do believe you added a pearl somewhere to your card…it just adds the finishing touch, right?
Hi Ann! First of all, the twins sound like they had an eventful weekend, even if they did come down with some “sniffles”. I feel for them because both Ozzy, my hubby and myself have horrible allergies! Poor babies! Brody’s commentary makes me want to give him a hug! Awww! Congrats to Brady, too. I would love to hear some of his performance. That Vivaldi piece is a favorite of mine. How exciting!
As far as those pearls…I WANT to say NO but somehow, my gut is telling me YES…so I’m going with that. C’mon Pearls! ๐
