Easter Blossoms is one of my favorite sets from the Occasions Mini Stampin’ Up! Catalog. So it was only natural when faced with this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge: Fashion Inspiration—Spring/Easter, that it was my “go-to” set. I took my inspiration from the flowers and the texture of the hat. Enjoy my “Vintage Easter Blossoms” card!
The Stampin’ Schach Stamping Tips:
- Texture! What better way to replicate the texture of this adorable Easter bonnet than with Stampin’ Up!’s Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder? I zipped a piece of Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper through the Big Shot, which left a wonderfully worn vintage appearance!
- Make it pop! The Silhouette image was inked with Early Espresso and stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. After snipping it out, the edges were distressed with Early Espresso and it was “popped” up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Make it your own! Flowers snipped from the Designer Paper form a bouquet for our little lady and fill her basket.
- Vintage touches! Basic Pearls outline the oval mat, giving the illusion of a vintage cameo brooch. They also accent one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! punches, the Scallop Trim Border Punch. Rose Red Seam Binding is easily scrunched simply by pulling a thread. And what better vintage touch than a sprinkle of kisses from the Color Spritzer Tool?
I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and stampin’ tips. If you did, would you please leave me a comment? I know that many of you have said that you begin your day with me, and that you look forward to my posts. The same is true of me…I look forward to your visits, your comments, and our stamping friendship! And as always, if you have any questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

Ann, your cards always amaze me. They are so perfectly put together and I’m in awe everytime. I Love this technique on the girl with adding the dimension by sponging the edges. Beautiful job!

OMGoodness Ann this is so beautiful. Your idea to pull the thread to bunch the thread is fabulous. I had totally forgotten that sewing technique. You never cease to amaze me and are so inspiring.
I just love this little silhouette. I purchased it because she reminds me of my 2 year old granddaughter Kaitlynn! Your card is so stunning!!! (Again!)
Another stunner, Ann! Ah, the patience you must have to cut out those tiny flowers…wow! Completely worth the effort, though because they look amazing! Very pretty! 🙂

I agree with Cassandra’s comment – I keep scrolling up and down! Just love the details! Everything is just so perfect together. Love it! I forget about texture when I use the DP – but of course, that means I have to get the BS out of the box! Anyway, this card is amazing. For some reason though my eyes are drawn to the scrunched ribbon, it is just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing all the details with us Ann!

Once again, you’ve blown me away with all the “little” details that make a card just gorgeous!!! Thanks so much for sharing the “how to-s” – things like “edging” the silhouette and snipping out the flowers from the DSP to make the bouquet for her to carry. You are a blessing!!!
