Nature Walk for The Paper Players and Video Tutorial

It’s Sunday and time to play at The Paper Players! This week we have a fabulous sketch challenge designed by Nance Leedy. I flipped mine, which is perfectly “legal” in the challenge world. Enjoy a Nature Walk with The Paper Players and the video tutorial on how to make today’s bow!

The Stampin’ Schach Stampin’ Tips:

  • Design your own Designer Paper! Looking for that certain look? Make it yourself! I stamped Cherry Cobbler Butterflies and Early Espresso Bees onto Naturals Ivory card stock. Then I overstamped using the Sanded stamp inked with Cherry Cobbler. A little spritzing using the Color Spritzer Tool and a Soft Suede Stampin’ Write marker adds a nice vintage touch!

  • Tag…You’re it! “Friends” and “Thanks” from the Tiny Tags set were stamped onto Naturals Ivory card stock and punched out with the Jewelry Tag Punch. Of course, what better way to attach them to the card than with a Vintage Trinkets Safety Pin!

  • Free bird! The Bird, freed from its cage, is lightly tinted, vintage style! Cherry Cobbler ink and a Blender Pen complements the designer paper. More Mustard colors the beak and legs. A double dose of dimensionals places the bird into the foreground.

  • It’s bow time! Although the “No-Tail Bow” has a more formal look, it is the perfect choice when “No Tails Are Required”!

  • Here’s another look at the formal bow on last week’s Paper Players’ card:

  • And here is the tutorial on how to make your own!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and that I have inspired you in some little way. Won’t you please leave me a comment and let me know what you think? And as always, I am available to answer any questions about the cards that I create and the techniques that I use. I am only an email away. Until next time…

  6. Wow! I recently found your blog and I love it. Just wish your font was darker… and even a font style that was easier to read. I read A LOT of blogs and have to say that yours is the hardest for me to read. Sure wish you’d maybe change the font.

  7. Love your card Ann. Thanks so much for doing the tutorial on the bow.. now off to try it myself. Mabye I will ask my son for the use of his hand for my first attempt..lol

  8. This is a wonderful card and I like your hand-designed DSP. Thank you so very much for doing a video tutorial on this wonderful ribbon. Thanks for blessing my day. šŸ™‚ Woof, woof (fell off a chair yesterday and now I’m afraid to jump up on them (tears) and another forlorn woof).

  9. What a gorgeous card! I love the vintage feel of this card and LOVE,LOVE,LOVE how you made your own paper! The stitching detail on the bottom is the perfect touch!

  10. Great bow, Ann! I’m going to use it on a wedding card. Perfect timing!

  11. Gorgeous Ann! I had to laugh, I was eyeing the background and thinking, “I gotta get some of that paper!” Thenn, I read on and that you created it yourself! I love all the details. I love all the details and I almost missed the lonely little pearl! I used to make that bow a lot at Christmas time but started having trouble with the middle and trying to tie it together. Think I will try it again. Would a glue dot holding it down as you tie it work since I can’t get Henry to use his paw to hold it? Besides, he would drool on it probably! Oh, and did you plan to wear clothes to coordinate with the cherry cobbler? Thanks again for sharing your talent with us!!!!
