I am so sorry. I have no card to post today. But I can share some pictures of the Twins from their third show, courtesy of Rose Northcutt of Shira Boxers. Rose, Marie, Terri, Ruth, Bernard, Rhonda and of course, the Twins’ handler Michelle, all seasoned Boxer professionals, have been so kind and patient with me as I am just learning the ins and outs of the dog show world.
Since so many of you have emailed me wondering how The Twins performed this week, let’s cut straight to the chase. Cimarron’s Do You Know the Muffin Man (Muffy) did a fabulous….Excuse me just a second…What Muffy? You want to tell everyone how well you did? Muffy, this is a stamping blog. I was going to write up just a short post and…Muffy! Quit whining! Oh, all right. You are such a spoiled puppy. Go ahead…but make it quick! Mom has to finish her Pals Paper Arts inspiration card.
Muffy: Hi, Mom’s Stamper People! I am so excited to tell you all about the show this week because Brody was soooooo BAD in the ring. Mom got really embarrassed and could hardly watch. I thought the judge was going to ask him to leave the…
Brody: MOM! Muffy’s telling everybody I was bad. I just wanted to play with the other puppies!
Me: Brody, Muffy is right for a change. You were a very bad boy. You cannot play with the other puppies in the ring. You just can’t. You have so much potential, Brody James. However, if you don’t shape up, we might have to send you away for more training.
Muffy: See Brody… Mom and Dad are going to send you away to the place where bad puppies go because they don’t love you like they love me. Just look at me in the ring, Bad Brody! This is the way good gurrrls gait in the ring. This is what wins you the blues!

Me: MUFFY LIN! Stop it right now! Just because you won your competitive class both days, and beat other beautiful puppies, you have no right to say mean and hurtful things to your brother. Michelle the Handler is going to be working on his ring manners every week from now on.Muffy: OK, Mom. I’ll be a good gurrrl. I’m sorry, Brody. I’m sorry that you acted so badly in the ring. I’m sorry that you embarrassed Mom and made Michelle unhappy. I’m sorry that you lost your class both days. I’m sorry…
Brody: MOM! MOM! Make Muffy stop.
Muffy: Shhhhh! Brody! If you keep tattling, I’m going to tell Mom that you chewed up one of her Vintage Vogue stamps.
Me: What? Someone chewed up a stamp? Twins…just wait until your father gets home!
Well, Muffy got it pretty much right. She brought home two blue ribbons, Brody brought home two red ribbons, and Kim brought home two tired puppies and one tired “mom”. Until next time…

You just made my day end on such a good note. I had a good laugh. i love it when you post puppy conversations. They are almost as good as your cards!
I laughed through the whole post. OMG that was adorable. You go Muffy! And Brody, as far as I’m concerned you can get by simply on your looks alone! I’m so excited for them. Good luck with all your future shows! Best, Curt
It is so much fun when the twins post. Muffy does look beautiful in the ring. Brody will get his chance to shine too. Boys will be boys and they “just wanna have fun”.
I LOVE these stories and the photos. So cute. Especially the last one with mommy!
PS: Ann I have a ton of wood blocks too if you need one for your stamp. I bought some off someone who was switching out wooden blocks for clear style. I couldn’t believe when I got them, they look like they have never been used, so if you need one Just tell me the size and email an address and I can pop one in the mail for you. Hugs.
I can just see Muffy’s little tail wagging with shear delight as she tells her story. She was oozing with pride telling us about her wins.I don’t blame her she is a gorgeous puppy! Brody I think he is all boy and will mature soon enough. With a physique like his no wonder he has an admirer ๐ I could just see him pushing Muffy out of the way to get your attention… You are going to have to get a bigger cabinet!!!!!
Oh my goodness, The Twins are a riot! I love their story telling. Congrats on the wins this past weekend.
p.s. I’m in NY w/Harry! He sends his love to The Twins.
Such a fun post, Ann! So happy little diva, Muffy had a good showing and Brody…well, he will grow into it, I’m sure. We all know that the ladies mature faster then the guys anyway! Haha! But wait…what is the status of that Vintage Vogue stamp set? I feel like it was a cliffhanger! Eeek! Give the twins a hug from me and Emmitt and Ozzy! ๐
Wow – what an eventful weekend for you and the Twins. Congrats to Muffy for being the queen of the ring. Muffy – maybe you can take some time to help Brody nail down the gait and pay attention to things. Remember, boys are a bit immature and they’ll catch up eventfully. ๐ Brody – you’re just too cute and adorable. I don’t think anyone could be too miffed with you for too long.
Ann – hope you and the Twins are getting some well deserved rest now!
Thanks for a good laugh! Love the pictures too. Thanks for sharing the adventure.
Chris R. from Iowa
P.S. my order came today just like you said it would!
Hi Ann,
love your post from the twins. It seems to me to be at yours and hear what the puppies say.
A little word to Muffy: Your comments are o.k., because the boys, human being or boxer puppy, love to play at this age *LOL* You are grown up, but Brody has to grow up, you have to apologize him. Next time he´ll make it better.
hugs and smiles
Conny
Muffy’s got it right! Brody needs to man up and make a decision – puppy playtime or blue ribbons! He can’t have his treats and eat them too! Or can he? Yeah, he prolly can. Who am I kidding, he’s a heartbreaker and he knows it ๐
So happy to catch up with the pups, they always have quite the story to tell!
Brody, I think it is great that you want to make sure all of the other puppies are happy and at ease in such a tense setting!! Congratulations to both you and Muffy for your ribbons! Does Mom have a wall dedicated to your awards yet? TFS the Brody/Muffy update, Ann; as stated before you have a great gift for story telling. Oh, no! I mean Muffy and Brody, you have such a way with words but be nice to your brother, Muffy; we don’t want him to develop a complex! Hugs, Pauline
Thanks so much sharing the twins with all of us, I just love your stories about them. Tell Brody it is ok, practice makes perfect and he will get it one day. Maybe he has Spring fever!!!
I LOVE YOUR DOG POSTS OUR KIDCS ARE TOBY THE WONDER DOG AND SHILOH THE PRINCESS 6 YEAR OLD BEAGLE BROTHER AND SISTER. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT SHILOH IS A TRICOLOR BEAUTY AND KNOWS IT AND TOBY IS A SADDLE BACK WHO KEEPS ALL SQUIRRELS AND WILD MONKEYS OUT OF OUR YARD. BEV ORRIS
Ann, your puppy posts are priceless. You must write a book. I think Brody is just a boy through and through, and vice versa for Muffy. I’m glad they had a good show. It’s hard to look at them and realize that they are still puppies. They are growing fast.
Oh Brody, sigh, I think I’m in love! You are so handsome and strong and . . . . just everything! You will do much better next time I just know it. Sigh (flip eyelashes). I wish you weren’t so big or I wasn’t so little.
Hey girlfriend – way to go! You show those other puppies that you are the best!!!!! Where do you get your nails done. I’m going on Friday to get mine done. Yikes – that’s means another bath! Was wondering if you want to do lunch one of these days – your house or mine?
Bye Brody (sigh)! :)))))))
I always love reading the puppy posts! They make me laugh every time. Congrats to Muffy and better luck next time to Brody!
Congrats to Muffy and “better luck next time” to Brody! Love the photos, too!
Ann, when I need a good giggle, all I need to do is read what Muffy, Brody and you write. The three of you are just too funny. Congratulations to Muffy. Brody, you better straighten up so Muffy won’t pick on you anymore.
Ann, congrats to the twins. They are doing fabulous, even Brody…he will get the hang of it. Your puppy stories are so great and bring a big smile to my face. Thanks for sharing the twin’s antics.
I’m traumatized! Vintage Vogue is my favorite. Poor stamp. :o) My cats only chew on my ribbon and now I’m okay with that; it could be much, much worse!
They are such adorable puppies. Maybe girls mature faster than boys even in the dog world? I’m glad Muffy is showing so well; sending sit still vibes to Brody for his next show. And the others are right! You should totally write a book!
Oh so fabulous!!! Kiss those twins for me!!! I can just imagine how tired you all were. Hugs,
Ann, congrats to the babies…. mmm…. why is it the male gender always needs more training ๐
Gorgeous pics, too!
Hugs
Jaydee
Thanks for the update on the pups…they are getting so big….tell Brody that he will be just fine…it’s just growing pains!!!!
Ann – I am a huge Boxer fan! Yours is beautiful…a face only a mother could love! We had four of them over the years. They have such a unique personality!!! Thanks for sharing your puppy posts!
Oh that is so great. Hopefully Brody won’t have to go to Military Puppy School! You know, boys mature slower than gurls, so we gotta give him some time, lol.
Love it! Thanks for the photos. I have a bad puppy myself – aka, “Little Miss McMuttersons” with no social graces!
It always seems like a long row to hoe when you have puppies, but both age and training DO help. ๐
LOVED the post. You have a wonderful of telling. Ahem, I mean Muffin does. But then again, she’s your daughter ๐ Great job twins and thanks Ann for sharing. I sure hope your stamp didn’t get ruined badly!
Ann, I love hearing from the twins! Thanks so much for sharing this part of your life with us.
Poor Brody! I think he is just free spirited…kind of like a child during their terrible twos. He would rather play than compete. Congrats Muffy.
Poor little Brody – he was just trying be friendly! Your dogs are sweethearts – and Congrats to Muffy Lin for getting an “A”!
Love the puppy posts! And Muffy, it’s ok…girls rule!
The last picture……a CLASSIC, both dead to the world! Cute story. Beautiful dogs, Ann, I know your are so very proud!
Ann…you have definately got to write a PUPPY TALK BOOK!!!!! When you go into the puppy voice, it is absolutely hysterical but exactly what I can see them saying!!!!! It would be a best seller to puppy people!!!!! Seriously here, from one who has read WAY too much for one lifetime! Your dogs are SO gorgeous! The muscles on these canines are unreal! And the stance, WOW. Ann, you have done a spectacular job of balancing food, exercise etc….as I watch my labs slop around the house, curl onto the couch, sit beside me as I eat my PNB, wait for my son to finish his french toast and run on about a bazillionth of my farm property! Oh yes, I love them to bitsies, foreva and foreva…but let’s just say, they are spoiled with their bedtime massages etc and to look at your perfectly balanced body type doggies…Phew, I can only imagine the hard work you and your family (and handler) put into all this. Way to go pups! Write some more…Pleeeez? Oh, and I hope their allowance is cut off for a week to pay for your supplies!!!
Oh they are so funny! They definitely could have their own blog! Congratulations to Muffy and Brody too! He’s just a typical boy, my son was always distracted very easily too! lol
HAHA…too cute Ann! Congrats to Muffy and Brody ontheir ribbons…and did you really have stamp chewed up?!….I wouldn’t put it past a boxer! LOL
{sMILES}
hahaha, I love it! So cute. They could start their own blog! Thanks for sharing, love the pics!
Loved you post. My father raised boxers so we always had a couple ourselves. Great dogs! Congrats to Muffy and never fear Brody will do better next time.
I think Sabrine has a good idea about writing a book about the “Twins” ( in your spare time hee) If the “twins could have a Mocha I think all of you deserve one. Just love the pooped out pictures…and the story was a laugh!
Yvonne
So cute! Love to hear your puppy stories!
I simply love your puppy posts :-)) Too bad, you can´t see me smiling all over the face, especially as I had a VERY similiar discussion this morning at breakfast table, only that I don´t have two puppies but two teenagers…… My two dogs are behaving much better, at least they shut up and go to their beds when told.
Why don´t you start writing a dogs diary – it would be a bestseller.
Best wishes
Sabine
