Are you a lover of Clean and Simple cards, yet have a yearning to create the ever-popular vintage look? Then I have the card for you! It’s a “Goldilocks card”…it’s not too simple, it’s not too vintage, it’s just right! Designed for Pals Paper Arts Clean and Simple Challenge: Scallops, today’s card features the Easter Blossoms stamp set and Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper. Enjoy “Vintage Meets Clean and Simple”!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips:
- Quick and easy! Large scallops are a breeze to make when using the Big Shot and the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die. The vintage theme is reinforced by using Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper.
- How can you resist Resist! The Emboss Resist technique was used when stamping the girl image and sentiment, both from the Easter Blossoms stamp set. The stamps were inked with VersaMark, stamped onto Naturals Ivory card stock, and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Crumb Cake ink was then sponged over the embossing, and the excess was wiped away.
- Age it! The Color Spritzer Tool and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker add instant speckles! A Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake ink are used to age edges!
- Glitz and Glam! Three Basic Pearls adorn the upper right corner. An Always Artichoke Seam Binding bow is accented with a snippet of lace, and softly pleated.
I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration card. I know that the other members of the Design Team have created fabulous cards to get your creative juices flowing, so please make certain to stop by Pals Paper Arts and check them out! I do hope that you will join us in our CAS-Scallops challenge this week. Remember, your comments are important to me, and I am anxious to hear what you think of today’s card. And if you ever have a question about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away. Coming up tomorrow: Blog Candy Winner and Blog Awards. Until next time…

I’m so far behind in my blog hopping … and I miss it so much! Looking at gorgeous cards like this one, always make one smile and put great ideas into our heads! Love this Ann!
I love your Vinatge card. I love the way that you added the scallops on your card. Using the different DP papers is a wonderful idea and certainly sets your card apart from all the rest. What a gorgeous Vintage card with a touch of simplicity.

This is so feminine and pretty! Love the DSP ruffles and that smidge of crochet ribbon inthe knot is fantastic! {SMILES}
It IS “just right”! You really know how to rock the vintage-style, Ann! Love the distressing and the awesome mix of papers. I played along this week…GAH! My color combo was SO scary compared to your pretty mix! Lol! Have a great weekend! 🙂
Love the layered scallops – beautiful card Ann!
Gorgeous card Ann! Your color choices for this one are so beautiful. You always do a great job with color. I don’t do well with vintage and never really cared for it (somehow it makes me feel depressed LOL) but your card could make me a fan. Love the ribbon. . .Best, Curt
OMG! Ann! It’s like we called each other to see what we were doing! Great minds think alike! 😉 Love the vintage look of your card and the Easter Blossoms girl is so you!
OF course this is totally Gorgeous…..it’s made by Ann, what did I expect? LOL!!! Truly a beauty!Great job! 😉
I love the Easter girl in white! The layered scallops are wonderful. Gorgeous card!
Ann, your card is gorgeous! Love the scallops!
Very pretty card Ann! Hugs, Joanna
Your card looks like a dress! Bow, lace, scallops–lovely!
The little Easter girl reminds me so much of myself years ago. You’ve used a lovely technique to make her silhouette stand out as well as allowing the scallop layers to “pop” as well.
This is definitely a Goldilocks Card! It is JUST RIGHT! Love all the rich details and colors. Fantastic job as usual!

Ann, I love this Easter card! The reverse embossing does give it a really cool look I love how you pleated the ribbon too.
Sometime I would like to see how you distressed the background with the marker and the spritzer
Kathy
Such a great mix of vintage and C&S. My favorite part of the card are the large scallops. Something else to put on my never ending wishlist. Dar
Beautiful scallops, Ann.
Great take on the challenge.

How super cute is that!?! I really like how you made your ribbon bunch over the scallops. Thanks for sharing. Great job with the clean and simple challenge!
Great look! Vintage but not fussy. I really like the layered scallops! You done good!

Love it! Great ideas for aging/distressing your card also.
Nicely done! 🙂
Yep, she’s a beauty! You make it look so easy. This is a really pretty card!
Beautiful card!!
What a great card!
OMG! this is adorable. At first I thought it was just white embossing on crumb cake, and now I see it was embossing resist. So cleaver. LOVE that bow! The snipet of lace is soooooo pretty. I just love the spritzer too, but I find I squeeze so hard to get it to work sometimes the bulb pops off!
Hugs.
Love your layers of scallops and emboss resist.
LOVE, how this card turned out !
LOVE LOVE LOVE this card! Very pretty, and somewhat simple! Thanks for sharing!
Oh there is that sweet stamp again. Beautiful, those large scallops are awesome.
It looks likes she is skipping across the top of a stone wall – a very pretty, colorful, vintage stone wall that is 🙂 !
You didn’t disappoint!
Really beautiful card! Not sure it’s simple, though!!
That is so adorable, I love it. I’ve been nagging my friend about the size of the scallop on this die for a while, lol, now I know.

Love the card. I like clean and simple and enjoy all the tips you give with each card. Thanks
Ann, I like that scalloped edge. Tasteful Trims, you say? That’s something I managed to overlook in the catalog! Thanks for teaching me (uh, enabling, I mean) something new today!
Definately a WOW card for me! Everything flows beautifully.
I love the layering on your scallops. The colors are so pretty together..
