Melanie CollinsBliss for the Hop
The set I selected to showcase on this Hop is Bliss. It’s vintage style is right up my alley! Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla get a “pop” of color with Cajun Craze on this emboss resist card. And what could be better than Baja Breeze Glass Glitter finishing off the edges of the image circle! Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips:
- Why resist Emboss Resist? The fact that I have used this technique on the last two cards I have designed should be a testimony to how easy it is to do this technique! I inked the “Flourish” from Bliss with VersaMark and stamped onto a 3-3/4″ Very Vanilla circle. I then heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. A Stampin’ Sponge was used to apply Baja Breeze ink in a circular motion over the embossed image. The excess ink was then wiped off. (Hint: For circles of any size, I use the Circle Scissors Plus!)
- Distress! Age instantly simply by using a Color Spritzer Tool and a Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker. Use a Sponge Dauber and Soft Suede ink to distress the edges of both card stock and designer series paper!
- Glitz! Baja Breeze Glass Glitter adorns the edges of the image circle. Iridescent Ice Stampin’ Emboss Powder graces the wings of the Cajun Craze Butterflies.
- Glam! Basic Pearls are used to embellish the Scallop Trim Border, as well as the ribbon and butterflies. A yummy Very Vanilla Satin bow provides the perfect finishing touch!

Your card is gorgeous. I love the colors and design. I have been playing around with the emboss resist technique and it certainly does not look like yours. But you inspire me to keep trying.
Oh so pretty. Always forget about doing resist… hhhmmm seems I forget a lot of stuff!
So pretty and love the little birdie on the sentiment.

So pretty and love the little birdie on the sentiment.
Beautifully done, as usual, but there’s something different about this card. I think I’m so used to seeing earth tones with your cards, and this blue is really wonderful. It has a sort of winter crispness to it. Gorgeous!
Glorious! The emboss resist is subtle, but adds so much to the final project. Pure card making wizardry!
Wow such a beautiful card and I just love the colors. The butterflies are so cute and really set off the card with the colors. Tks for sharing!
Blissful 😉 Gorgeous Ann!
Love the softness of the emboss resist flourish. The glitter and pearls are the ‘icing on the cake.’
This card ist beautiful and although we don´t have the Designer Paper in Germany, I will try to make a card similar to yours – I love it.
Ann, this is just gorgeous as always! The emboss resist looks amazing with that image and the pop of Cajun Craze made me go “ooohhh”! Of course, the pearls and glitter are the crowning touch. I haven’t said it in a while, but this one really is “Schach-tastic”!! Have a happy day! 🙂

Beautiful vintage card Ann. The embossing resist technique is so pretty and really suits this image. Of course the bling is like the dessert.
Wow Wow Wow!! Your card is tres chic!! Love the colors. The little pop of red….marvy.Baja Breeze? IMO the most beautiful ink color created. The emboss resist is fantastic. I hope this is on SCS, so that I can put it in my favorite gallery for future reference. The down side ONE more stamp set to buy.
Very pretty – luv the center shaded design! The pearls finish it off!

Beautiful. I have never seen glitter look so nice.
So stunning Ann. You’ve convinced me try this technique. Your colors are stunning with the pop of red!!! Hugs,
Beautiful card. Love what you do with pearls — any hints on how to use the really tiny ones? I have a heck of a time getting them situated without touching the adhesive on the back, which is apparently a big SU! “no no”.
Ann this is gorgeous! This is making me wish I had bought that stamp set!
You know, I thought those pretty little china doll butterflies were actually skating on ice! Very Nice!
Beautiful card I just love the colors and the “Bling”. You are a talented lady!
Give the twins a hug from me.
Yvonne
What a beautiful card to wake up to this morning! Love the shading over your focal image!
