It’s Sunday and time for another Paper Players challenge, and as you can see, it’s a Theme Challenge: Snowmen! Yippee skippee! I love snowmen! Unfortunately, I do not have a lot of snowmen stamps. So…I once again reached for the “Vintage Snowman” stamp from the Jolly Old Saint Nick stamp set and decided to make a snowman in a snowglobe, with the help of the Sweet Snowglobe stamp. Well, actually I had planned on making this really cute card which was going to be a parade of vintage snowmen…but a certain Boxer Boy stole most of the snowmen I had stamped, watercolored and snipped out. Right off the dining room table, he did! With a deadline looming, I switched designs! Hmmmm! I wonder what little Boxer Boy that was. Could it be…Brody?

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips:
- “Pop” it up! Give your snowglobe depth, by popping the Snowman up on Stampin’ Dimensionals!
- Northern Frost! Lacy Snowflakes, made with the Northern Frost Decorative Strip and the Big Shot, create a frosty scene, which is further enhanced with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. An unexpected dash of color is supplied with Real Red Glimmer Brads.
- Pearls! Basic Pearls add interest to the Scallop Oval label and the base of the snowglobe.
- Ribbon delight! I started with a snippet of Real Red 5/8″ Satin Ribbon, but decided that a little more pizzazz was in order. Three strips of Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon did the trick!
- You can never “smooch” too much! “Wishing you a season of sweetness” from the Merry Crittermas set seemed like the perfect sentiment for this card. A liberal spritzing of Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz adds to the sweetness!
I hope that you will join us this week for our “Snowman Challenge”. And maybe, just maybe, Brody will let me create the card I originally planned on making sometime in the future! Here is a picture of the masked bandit trying to look innocent. With a face like this, it is hard to stay angry!
It is hard to believe that the Boxer Twins will be 13 weeks old Monday. They just grow up too quickly…not! Brody will start his show career in February, depending upon how he has matured. He is so proud that his handler, Michelle Cramblett, qualified one of the Boxers she has been showing for the Eukanuba National Dog Show.
As for little Muffy, she is having a wee problem with potty training…make that a wee-wee problem. Depending on how her head matures, she may also start her show career in February. And yes, she is sleeping on Mom’s lap with her tongue just peeking out! Of course, Mom will have to sell a lot of Stampin’ Up! in order to keep these two in the show ring. But ever since I was a little girl, I always wanted a show dog. Why not fulfill that dream in my old age…providing I can survive their puppyhood. Arghh! What was I thinking…really!
Well, the puppies are telling me that I have blogged enough. They are so demanding! Let me know what you think of today’s card. As I stated earlier, this was not the card I set out to create, but Brody had other plans! And remember, I am always available to answer any questions that you might have about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use. I am only an email away! Until next time…

Brody and Muffy are just so adorable and sweet. I love those pics. Your card is wonderful and I so wish I’d of gotten that DSP now. But I am so done with Christmas Cards. I’m buying a box to finish up. Hugs,
Hi Ann,
I love your card and all of your work!!! Thanks for following me and leaving a comment on my blog. I’ve had your blog in my favorites for a long time now. I made sure to follow you now. Thanks I followed over from both threads on Stampin’ Connection
I think Brody was just helping you design, silly! It turned out super cute, anyway, wink-wink!
Your card is way too cute – and so are those puppies! Can’t wait to see Brody’s “real” ears!
Such a cute little snowman! I like how you did the snowflake edges too, gives them depth and oh would look at all those pearls! I very stingy with my pearls, so that must be for a special person. Love it.
Leslie said … Well, you just can’t get cuter than this card, except for the pups! As for puppyhood — this too shall pass (just not that soon).
great blog; I see you have the same problem with your lap as I do!
Love your snowman in a snowglobe and those snowflakes are divine! Some adorable puppy lovin’ too. {Hugs}
Ann, I love your snowman card. You always come up with the most original and wonderful designs. I’m sorry that Broday ate your other snowman images thatyou had all colored and cut but the card that you made was meant to be made so that people like myself would be wowed and leave with a smile. ๐
I love the photos of your Brody and Muffy they are so adorable. I’m happy to hear that you will be getting your dog showing dreams to come true one day soon.

This is adorable! I love the pearls you used…and the pics of your pups are priceless! I especially love the one of Muffy with her tounge hanging out! WE had a Boston who’s tounge always hung out during her naps….it always kept us in stitches! (I just had to share that one with my husband on yahoo chat today!) LOL {SMILES}
Hehe, I love snowmen too!! You do have my address, right? LOL Absolutely adorable, but I’d have to say lil miss muffy with that tongue stickin out won my heart (even over the snowman!!) ๐ Can’t wait to cheer them on for their Eukanuba win!!!
Brody Brody Brody you little bandit ๐
Cute snowman! Love the blue/red combo and the different snowflakes.
a total winner. love how you propped up the snowman in the globe and the sentiment with pearls is smashing! hugs, m
Brody is a little mischief maker, eh? He is to stinkin’ cute, though. I bet it’s hard to stay mad at him for ruining the “snowman parade”. ๐
Your card is so beautiful, Ann. I love the triple layer of ribbon and all of those perfectly placed pearls. I wasn’t planning to order that snowflake strip…until now. You inspire me to shop a lot lately with all of your great creations. HeeHee!
Your cards and post are always so much to look at and read! Your card is snow cute!
This is the cutest card ever!
Bad, Bad, Brody Boy! Oh no, that was Bad, Bad Leroy Brown! (I love Ryan Kelly of Celtic Thunders rendition of the song. My grandchildren and I always substitute “d a r n” for the other word though.) Snowmen and snow globes, what a perfect combination, Ann! Love everything about the card! TFS! Have a good damage and puddle free day!
Very cute card. Love all the details! As for you surviving your puppies “due to your old age”…..come talk to me about that in about 20 years…..YOU AREN’T OLD!!!
I love your little snowman globe.. and also the story about the twins. They are alway up to something..lol
gorgeous ann. i love what you put together here…all of it!
Wow! Brody’s face sure is maturing. Just an FYI: From our experience with our many boxers, our girls always took longer to be potty trained. One understood very quickly, but her ability to hold it didn’t catch up to her understanding until she was almost 1 year old. We think she was weened to early though.
Enjoying watching your twins growing up. So miss puppy breath. TFS!
I have to order that snowflake strip and the glimmer brads now! This card is SO cute, the ribbon wrapped three times looks amazing…I may “need” that too! LOL!
Smiles,
Lesley
Everything is just too cute from the card to the twins! Henry is a counter surfer so I have to watch embossing powder etc on the counter – might be edible you know! He has stolen loaves of bread, frozen meat, you name it! Thank goodness you listed the treat cup in the “recipe” as I was wondering how you got the look of the snow globe with out it! Love the card esp the sentiment and how you added the pearls! Such fun! Thanks for sharing Ann!

Oh, this is just adorable, Ann! I love the snowflakes with the brads. The red is a great accent color. I really need to buy this paper! ~Bonnie~
Love the snowman card! I also enjoy your twins updates and I can soooo relate to your “puppy problem”! Just a few days ago, I discovered my cocker puppy had chewed on the bottom corner of my latest scrapbook. Grrrrrr ๐
Adorable card! So creative!! And love all the bling. TFS and good luck with ‘the boys’! Sounds like you more than have your hands full. ;D
Your card is adorable Ann but the real show stealers are the pups! Can’t imagine how you are surviving double trouble ๐
Those twins are just adorable. Love this card in spite of someones antics! What a cute idea!
Hi…just checking in on you…making sure you are surviving the twins…and maybe soon to be show-offs….I means show dogs. Your dream come true..how sweet! These pics are sooo cute! I love it when a dog has just a little tongue sticking out. It is fun!
Hugs to you and the twins
Yvonne

Brody reaches the dining room table already?!?!? What a big boy he is and so helpful! And that little napping picture of Muffy is just too cute!
