When one thinks of brayering, the name Michelle Zindorf immediately comes to mind. In my opinion, no one does it better. That is why, when I found out that she would be offering her brayering workshop relatively close-by, I knew I had to attend. Michelle is an excellent instructor, and both the morning and afternoon sessions just flew by! She took us through what we needed to do step-by-step, and demonstrated each technique. We completed six cards during that time, and I learned that with brayering there is a distinct learning curve, and practice is definitely needed! And don’t you just love the trees from the Plant Hope stamp set? I was thrilled that it was one of the stamp sets we used.
In the card above, we practiced our masking techniques using Post-It Notes. A white Signo gel pen was used to delineate the cliff. The unique size of this card allows it to fit perfectly into a business size envelope!
In this card, we practiced placing the moon’s reflection into water. I would never have thought to use Melon Mambo for a water scene, yet it works for Michelle’s design. For more information about brayering, workshops, and tips, check out Michelle’s blog. I guarantee that you will be amazed! And if you have the opportunity to attend one of her classes, you will not be disappointed.

Ann I love your cards. I so enjoy scenery cards and can’t wait to play with the brayer. Mine sits with a pile of dust and cat hair on top. I just might have to rinse it off… I so cannot wait to see your ‘spin’ on the brayer.
Great job Ann – isn’t Michelle an awesome teacher (much like you!) and sweet to boot! And looks like you were a great student! Beautiful cards

Is there anything you cannot do? I would be thrilled if my first attempts at brayering looked like these gorgeous creations. I was not into brayering, but I like what I see! You are an inspiration to us all. ~Bonnie~
I would not call this an attempt! I call this success! Awesome cards, Ann! A+

Top of the class for you girl! These are wonderful! And I do love that tree on the cliff!
Two gorgeous cards, and I think you captured the technique. I think we’ve all been inspired by Michelle Z’s, work as well as YOURS, thanks for sharing.
Wow! Those are beautiful! I would be jumping up and down in excitement to get the Melon Mambo card! It is AMAZING! Now I’m going to have to try my brayer again. 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing all of your wonderful work. I feel like a bit of a blog stalker, but I really do LOVE everything you make! If you were closer, I’d be knocking on your door begging to stamp with you.
Hilarious, Ann! Your “attempts” at anything usually put us all to shame and I can’t wait to see more of this technique from you. Gorgeous!
Wow! Thanks for telling us about Michelle… I hadn’t seen her work until you posted your examples. Your cards are breathtaking!
I checked her blog and was surprised to see that there is one class within 45 minutes of me… and some that are around 4 hours away.
OH. MY. GOSH.
These are beautiful. As always, your work inspires me to test my abilities and try something new. Can’t wait to give his a go. Thanks, Ann.

I’ve never tried brayering,in fact my brayer lies like the May Tag repairman in the seldom used section of my craft room. Your cards have inspired me to step out of my comfort zone. Thanks for sharing.
Wow Ann…such fabulous cards…I am always intimidated by the brayer! Thanks for sharing, I feel like I can try it…and practice too.
I was SO ENCOURAGED by your post!! I, too, am amazed at Michelle’s work. I just signed up for the one in AZ in January and can hardly wait. I hope I can “get it”! Thanks for sharing!
