I love Thursdays! It’s always exciting to see what people create for the Pals Paper Arts challenge. This week we are sponsoring a theme challenge…Spring! With the crazy weather that we have been experiencing across the nation, I think that we could all use a dose of spring. And to me, nothing symbolizes spring more than flowers. So I reached for Stampin‘ Up!’s, Abundant Hope stamp set, and my trusty Paper Snips.
The Stampin‘ Schach Tips:
- Top off your card with the Top Note! With its classic styling, the Top Note die is the perfect complement to almost any design. And when zipped through the Big Shot with textured card stock, the look is understated yet elegant.
- Customize and coordinate! And what better way to accomplish this than by using Build-A-Brads and your favorite Designer Series Paper. Don’t you just love how the “Dotted” Shades of Spring Paper looks with the matching brads?
- Frames for fun…dimensionals for depth! The Scallop Trim Border and Corner Punches make a yummy Chocolate Chip frame for the jonquils. Snipping out the flowers and placing them over the sides of the frame adds depth, especially when they are popped up on Stampin‘ Dimensionals.
- Repeat common themes for a card that looks pulled together! Rounded scallops, rounded corners, and rounded edges on the Top Note, plus dots, dots and more dots tie all of the details together.
I can hardly wait to see what you create this week for the PPA! Whether it is an image or a color that evokes a feeling of spring, I look forward to your card or project. As always, I appreciate the fact that you have taken the time out of your day to visit The Stampin‘ Schach. So please, leave me a comment to let me know that you were here. And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, never hesitate to email me. Until next time…

What a wonderful layout design, Ann! The top note underneath is a great idea. And I love to cut out and pop things up, but it looks as though those daffodils would take a lot of careful snipping!! The card turned out just perfect.

Hi, Chris! I used the inks that were listed and blender pens. I just touch the blender pen to the edge of teh ink pad, and I’m off to the races!
This is a great card! My favorite part is the brads – what fun! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. What did you use for the coloring – or did I miss it in the materials section?

Beautiful Spring Card! I really like how you tied the Build a Brad in with the background paper. I really don’t know how you do it, cutting something that small out and doing such a good job of it. Your card looks fabulous. Great job.
