Welcome to a new feature at The Stampin’ Schach…a feature which I call “Simply Schach”. Each week I will be posting a card which will be fast and easy to create. You might say that it is my version of Clean and Simple, with a few more layers and a little bling now and then. These are cards that would be great to demonstrate at a workshop or make whenever time is of the essence! I hope that you enjoy the first card in this series, “Patterned Pines…The Simply Schach Way!”
- Create a standard card base from textured Very Vanilla. Use the Corner Rounder on the right hand side for visual interest.
- Ink the Patterned Pines “Trio of Trees” with Garden Green and stamp onto Very Vanilla.
- Add Red Circle Fire Brads to the top of each tree. Layer onto Real Red card stock.
- Select the “Green Galore Damask” pattern from the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper collection and punch the bottom edge with the Scallop Edge Punch. Layer onto the Real Red card stock.
- Add a snippet of Real Red 5/8″ Grosgrain Paper at the interface of the two papers.
- Add a Photo Corner punched from the “Green Galore Damask” into the upper left hand corner.
- Use the Corner Rounder on the right hand corners of the Real Red mat and adhere to the card base.
- Done!
Wasn’t that simple? What we have is a seasonal card with a country feel! (Stampin’ Schach Design Tip of the Day: Like this card, but not the colors? No problem. Just switch out the ink color and select coordinating designer paper and card stock!)

Great idea, Ann! I love this set and think it’s so versatile! Love your card, too!
Simple cards have been my thing lately – time HAS been of the essence! Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the speed and simplicity. All to often I get caught up in trying to create a “museum card of art” and complicate it. This is gorgeous and an “easy to manage” project. I love the Simply Schach idea! You are just the inpiration I need.
You are so lucky to have a last name that starts with “S” so you can do the Simple Schach thing!!! And this is a beautiful simple card! Love it!
Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s PPA thingie!
Great idea to implement Simply Schach! This is a perfect card for those times you need to “mass produce” cards (Christmas thank you’s, etc). Your cards are amazing!
Really pretty, Ann.
Still have to ink this set up. Thanks for providing such great inspiration.
Ann,
Ok, I love this card! I sure hope that I was the inspiration to these new “Simply Schach” weekly cards. Either way, it is fabulous, love this stamp set!
Hugs,
Lisa Atha

Simply super!!
Thank you, Anonymous! It is indeed Garden Green, and the description has now been corrected! Ann
Love the card and the idea!!!! Correction: your description says you used Green Galore ink and your supply list says you used Garden Green. Just thought you’d like to know.
It’s your fault I had to order and get that hostess stamp set yesterday. All your fault!
I love the Simply Schach idea! So clever…I hope I grow up and be clever like that one day!
I love the idea. I am all for simple cards!
