Sometimes simple is powerful! Although “quick” and “easy” could be two adjectives that would describe this card, I prefer to describe it as “elegant” and “chic”. While the ribbon is reminiscent of a classic grey tuxedo, the eyelet border adds a hint of femininity and compliments the small, texturized dots, making this card one of my favorites! Do you have ten minutes? Let’s make this card!
- Make a card base from Very Vanilla card stock. Texturize it using the Small Dots plate from Stampin‘ Up! Backgrounds I and your Big Shot.
- Add a Basic Gray Taffeta bow.
- Punch a border using the Eyelet Border Punch and adhere to the bottom of your card. I used a selection from Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper II, which is a Hostess Level I gift.
Design Tip: The nice thing about this card is that it can be easily modified for any occasion. Change out the ribbon and the border paper, and you can create an entirely different mood, or a sentiment can be quickly stamped onto a scalloped oval and added to the left of the bow. This becomes a perfect design base. And for today…I like it just the way it is!
