It’s Thursday, and time to play at Pals Paper Arts! This week we have a color challenge for you: Pacific Point, Real Red, Silver Foil. Because I never have any get well cards on hand, I decided to whip up a few using the new Get Well Soup stamp set. I hope you enjoy this quick and easy card.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This folded card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Emboss it! The image was inked with VersaMark and stamped onto Whisper White cardstock. It was then heat embossed with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The bowl section of the image was inked with VersaMark, and stamped onto Pacific Point cardstock. It was also heat embossed with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Finally, just the “soup” section was heat embossed onto Delightfully Dijon Polka Dot Background Designer Series Paper.
- Snip it! The Pacific Point bowl was snipped out and adhered in the proper place on the Whisper White image. The “soup” was snipped out, and adhered to the bowl.
- Punch it! A Real Red heart was punched out and adhered over the heart on the bowl. A single Rhinestone adds a touch of bling and looks great with the Silver Foil card base.
Growing up on the farm in the 50’s and 60’s, it was common place to take a pot of soup over to a sick neighbor, along with a loaf of homemade bread, and maybe a jar of jam and some home-churned butter. Those were the days! Life was simple and the food was great! I will apologize to the Design Team for using the smidge of Dijon paper, but I just couldn’t make myself use Real Red. After all, it was chicken noodle soup we would always deliver, not tomato soup!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. I know it is simple…but I think it will bring a smile to someone’s face. What do you think? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me. And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

Ann, I always love to hear about your growing up years on the farm.
Chicken soup and your lovely card will be anyone feel better.
This is really a pretty get well card Ann – love the primary colors
Hi Ann,
I think your card is great and you are right we eat chicken noodle when sick not tomato. I grew up in the same era as you 50’s 60’s Those really were the Days, we played outside, we were never in the house except to eat and sleep. Things are not so simple now.

Very cute! Teddy could have used some soup to make him better. I had to rush him to the vet yesterday as he had bloody diarrhea. They wanted to keep him to monitor him during the day but he raised such a ruckus they had me come back and they squeezed him in for an appointment. By that time he had vomited twice and had some more diarrhea. So, they could test all that. He raised a big stink about the blood work – they were just wiping the area with water or alcohol and he threw a fit. She ended up taking the sample from a vein in his ear and didn’t mind one bit! After lots of love and attention they sent us on our way. He had colitis and a staph infection. She gave him medicine for his stomach to calm it down and antibiotics and a bill for $130! Today, he is much better and actually ate 1/2 of his kibble and drank a whole bowl of water. He wanted a walk and we took a big one. So, I think he is on the mend! I will show him your card on the screen and tell him it was from you!
Awesome card Ann! I love the silver foil mat, really highlights this big, bold stamp! The bright cheery colors will certainly bring a smile to the recipient of this beautiful card!!
LOVE this bowl of Get Well soup. You did a great job with using the Versamark and black embossing powder to give an edge to the bowl. I will be CASE-ing it. Thanks.
I purchased this stamp but thankfully haven’t needed to use it yet. When I do, I’m going to CASE your card…it’s perfect…the bright colors, the silver foil and diamond bling definitely exude healing power! Thank you, Ann, for sharing your creativity. : )
Ann this is too cute… I love how made the polka dot soup! So clever!
I’ve needed far too many of these types of cards lately too… hugs.
