A card for cat lovers is on the agenda for today. Throughout my life, I have been privileged to be owned by several cats. However, my “heart cat” was a sweet little tri-colored kitty, Sara Tucker, named after the character in the Cool Whip commercials of the 1970’s. While dogs rule my world now, I still think of Sara fondly. Today’s card for cat lovers is in memory of her. It’s Friday, and time to play at Festive Friday – Home of the Inspo List.
For this week’s challenge, we are inspired by National Cat Day. Remember, at Festive Friday you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project. I used cat, heart, and texture on my card this week. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
The cuteness factor on today’s card is courtesy of the retired Pampered Pets designer series paper. These felines were fussy cut from the paper. I am so sorry that I used a retired product, but it fit the challenge perfectly. If you do not have this paper, today’s takeaway would be this layout. I LOVE the Stitched So Sweetly die set. It makes the perfect backdrop for showcasing embossed backgrounds as well as yummy patterns. I’ll admit, I have used this layout countless times, even for last Sunday’s Paper Players card. It is one of my tried and true favorites.

Canine Corner
I just had to share these pictures of Little Miss Six and her littermate, Nueve. I snapped these early one morning this past week. Little Miss Sixx is an early riser. She awakes energized and ready to greet the world.
Her brother, Nueve, on the other hand would much rather sleep in on a gray and gloomy day. Can you blame him?

Love this color combination and your card is just purrrfect. Your pups are so full of personality. I wish I was more like Nueve and could sleep in but these days I am more like Little Miss Six.
Love this card Ann – those papers are so much fun to fussy cut and your feline trio are so perfect for the challenge! I love the embossed panel too (it reminds me of anaglypta wallpaper!) As for morning habits – I used to be Miss Sixx, but as I get older I am more like Nueve each day!
Your card is so catty! I love the expressions, the colors, the embossing and papers. The black & white DSP puts me in mind of fish bones. Great make for our challenge.
I totally agree, Marlene! His expression is priceless! Have an awesome weekend!
I just love your card Ann
Thank you so much, Diane! This was such a fun festivity.
Adorable card Ann! I love your colours!
Ann, what a wonderful celebration of cats. I love your little trio all doing their own thing! Looks like my house :-). I love the touches of pink and that background DSP looks like wallpaper decorating your kitties home! Love the photos of the doggies, too. Me… I think I’m more like Neuve – especially this morning!
hugs

Your card is adorable 😻
Thank you so much, Vicki!
First, let’s address your card…love the design and colors. Yes, cats do own us AND train us!
Second, dogs…yours are beautiful and handsome. Nueve is so funny. That’s how my daughter’s terrier was sleeping the other day. My cat, Chester, sleeps like that too. Head and feet out of the bed, body in. Too cute! Have a blessed day and I hope to play at FF this week.
Aw! Thank you so much, Karen! There is definitely a difference between dog and cat personalities for sure. Nueve is a hoot. His purpose in life is to love on his people and make them smile!
Such a sweet card, Ann! Love the pink and black! The expression on the top right cat might be just how Nueve feels 🙂
Thanks, Beth! After all of the fall and Halloween cards I have been making, pink and black was a welcome change!
Cat on the top right on this sweet card is a hoot. The look is what does it. What a riot!! Can’t beat animals when making cards, they are so natural. Love it.
