Starlight Christmas Card for PP420

It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!  Sweet Sandy has a fabulous sketch for us this week.

I thought it would be perfect for showcasing the gorgeous stars from the Starlight Thinlits dies.  Country plaid meets gold elegance in this Starlight Christmas card.

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Since I love a card with multiple layers, I found today’s sketch to be right up my alley. I selected three patterns from Stampin’ Up!’s Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper collection, and threw in an embossed Gold Foil panel for good measure!

Of course, the “star” of today’s card is the star!

The Gold Foil fancy star rests atop a Merry Merlot Glimmer Paper base star.  A small, clear faceted gem accents the center.

  3. Ann… wow! Again, an amazingly elegant card… so warms me! Just love how you have combined the papers, dies and GOLD to bring it all together!

  4. I would never have thought to pair these papers with gold yet they work really well together Ann. Your diecut star really is a worthy centrepiece and the star of your card this week.

  5. These earthy tones are such a great match with the gold. Love the textured foil and that star looks glorious.

  6. Breathtaking! Absolutely gorgeous, Ann.

  8. Ann this is a lovely card. The plaid is very pretty and the Star is the POP. Would love the dimensions.

  9. Country plaid and gorgeous gold, a perfect match! I love how you showcased that beautiful foiled star on all of those lovely layers. You know I have a certain affection for layers. They are like potato chips, you can never have too many. Or just one. Haha! Hope you enjoy your day, my friend! Hugs!
