Stamp Review Crew: Sale-A-Bration

It’s time for the Stamp Review Crew: Sale-A-Bration Edition! If this is your very first visit to one of our hops, the Stamp Review Crew is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators whose mission is to do a blog hop on the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month. Our hops are unique because each of us features the same stamp set used in a variety of ways, giving you loads of inspiration for that set! The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog. You will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want! This week we are featuring Sale-A-Bration stamp sets.  Sale-A-Bration is one of Stampin’ Up!’s biggest sales of the year, where customers can earn free, exclusive products with every qualifying order.  If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from Mickey Roberts. Her work is beautiful! After visiting me, you will continue to the next stop, the incomparable Nikki Spencer. She is always an inspiration. Enjoy this week’s hop!

Today’s card is a feminine – and versatile – one for sure! By changing out the sentiment, (I used the “Thank You” sentiment from another Sale-A-Bration set, Heartfelt Blooms), this card could be used for a birthday card, wedding card, anniversary card, thinking of you, and more.

Although it has a clean and simple layout, this card sports extra-special details which give it a “WOW” factor, including pearls and a bow created from Whisper White 1/4″ Organza Ribbon.

The Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder creates yummy texture.

Of course, the focal point of this card is the beautiful bouquet of lavender.  The image was stamped three times, and water colored using Blender Pens and the following inks:  Old Olive, Powder Pink, Sweet Sugarplum.  They were fussy cut with paper snips and arranged onto an oval created from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Gorgeous! Love how you fussy cut it out and then those signature pearls from that luscious bow on there are the frosting on the cake. Plus that embossing folder and a few random pearls just added so much fun texture. Beautiful. I was at a retreat and we used the lavender stamp on a card but we used Elegant Eggplant and it was really pretty too and stamped off one time for the second stamping. I wasn’t sure I would like the stamp set but I am glad I have it now!

There is that handsome Jackie complete with another ribbon. Stunning boy!
